The caveat in my statements is whether God has laid Sabbath on someone's heart, and their response to that calling. Our relationship with God is about progressive revelation, where He is always teaching us, and always causing us to see things in our life, and in His Kingdom, that we have never seen or known before.

Think about the things you know and do today in your relationship with Him, that you didn't do last year. Did you love God last year? Were you trying to live your life in an honoring way? I would hope so. But just because you didn't know everything and didn't do everything doesn't mean you were disobeying God and not loving Him. Similarly, how many things are you going to know and do next year that you're not doing now? Do we still love God today and are trying to live our lives in an honoring way? Again, I would hope so.

The reason I said that "Both of us will be in the Kingdom of God" is because Jesus said it.

Matthew 5:19
"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach
them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Both the obedient and the disobedient will be there, but the ones who DO obey will be considered greater because showed their love by walking out obedience.

We walk on a slippery slope when we imply that someone has to obey all of the commandments or else they don't love God. That's where we get to the point of requiring everyone to do everything in the Law in order to be saved. Because it means that if you are not wearing tassels on the ends of your garments (Num 15:38), they you are willingly and and knowingly disobeying God's commandments.

Are you wearing your tassels right now, Frank? Because according to your standard, if you're not wearing them you don't love God.

It is amazing how many people will defend the work of Satan because they are not interested in defending the Word of God. So many people find so many excuses possible to defend their own stance because it is convenient for them as all their friends and families are doing the same and if everybody is doing that, surely that should be OK hey, as everybody cannot be wrong? Newsflash, God is a God of Love but He hates those goes against Him. Please do yourself a favor and go and read Hebrews 3 and 4 and discover some Truth. The path to the Kingdom of God is narrow and those who do not strive to be on this Narrow path, will NOT be in the Kingdom of God one day. I do my best to please God in every possible step I take and I know that God will forgive me where I have failed. I also know that the more I do what He wants me to do, the more light I will receive from Him. I know that I will be judged on what I know. I do NOT challenge God in any way because I feel that I have a right to do so. I also believe there is a ranking order in heaven as those who will be standing in the Truth at the end of times, will be placed on thrones where others won't. But I doubt it if there will be one Sunday Keeper who knew about the Sabbath and ignored it. You try to convince me that everybody will be in the Kingdom of God but believe me when I tell you that there will be many that will be destroyed by fire and brimstone that will never ever enjoy the Kingdom of God. You have still a lot of study to do before you can make statements like what you have done. I will pray that God will open your eyes to His Word and to receive the wisdom to understand so that you may be saved one day.

You should read all of Romans 14, including Romans 14:4 Who are you to judge someone else's servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
I am not judging as you call it. I am quoting from the Word of God. Go and read Hebrew 3 and 4 and ask God to give you wisdom to understand His Word.

How does one keep the sabbath?

By following the law. Although keeping Sabbath is not repeated in the NT. The only place you can find it is Revelation, where John said I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. He didn't call it the Sabbath, Because Jesus is the Sabbath.

The OT law, including remembering the Sabbath, was only given to Jews to keep, Deut 5, no one else. So it is not a law given to nor binding upon Christians/the NT church. When Christ was alive upon earth, that OT law was still in effect and Christ kept that law perfectly including keeping the Sabbath Day. Yet upon Christ's death, He took the OT law out of the way making it in active, of no effect replacing that OT law with His NT law (Col 2:14; Heb 9:16ff; Heb 10:9; Heb 7:12) where the church/Christians were brought together on the first day of the week, Act 20:7.
If you would study scripture instead of taking a few verses and mixing it up with how you want it, you would see this isn't the way of the Lord. There were changes that Christ made in our world, but destruction of anything is never part of God. God builds up, makes better, God is love and good. God never, ever, made something----anything---inactive or stopped anything. It is not in the nature of God. In the gospels, it says so. Christ Himself said so. Christ even picked out several laws to explain how He did this. Christ said we were to keep the law but not by the letter only, but in spirit and truth. We were to keep the sacrifices that used animal blood, but never again with animal blood but with His blood. We were to keep knowing of the work of the high priest, but never with an earthly priest but with Christ our high priest.

Who you worship is not Christ, for you are worshipping someone who does not have the attributes of Christ. You are worshipping someone who destroys, and the real Christ never destroys.

How does one keep the sabbath?

By refraining from all normal things that you do on other days ie. doing your business, working, mowing laws, making money, etc. etc. Sabbaths should be a day where you would be quiet with the Word of God and praying. Doing Bible studies and better yourself in that which God wants.

Sabbath is repeated in the NT especially when your read where Jesus Christ has been in a synagogue on Sabbaths, busy teaching or learning. Also where Jesus was confronted about His disciples picking corn on the Sabbath. Jesus lived out the Sabbath to show people how they should act on a Sabbath. Jesus also healed sick people on the Sabbath to show that we should do good on the Sabbaths.

Anyone who knows our Savior attempts to be just as He was, for He is our example. It would seem all who know Him would know well that any law that does not contain mercy is no longer valid, and for those who knew grace before Yeshua for that matter, or does anyone here think King David was not an adulterer and a murderer?

Any law that is good is to be followed, whether people who do not understand say otherwise or not, whether they take one line to justify their being against the rest of the Word or not.

It is not a burden to obey the Almighty, yet, by the claimed understanding of some it is a burden. The commandments are a joy to observe, and it is a joy to know we do not need to worry about those laws without mercy. You see, Yeshua teaches us this, not all those legalists who claim the law is abolished, making themselves out to be sophisticated in the Word without mercy, especially without mercy on the family in Yeshua who choose obedience over sacrifice.

If a person believes, he should also think before dictating to others how they have been convinced by human arguments.

So those against the Seventh Day think they know the law, thus they are self-porclaimed lawyers. I am not a lawyer, but I do know that Yahweh never changed the Seventh Day to the first day of creation; the thought is perverse, and to teach otherwise is wrong.

Try doing a search for Sabbath on "NT" would certainly help in case one missed. He's the Lord of Sabbath because He ordained it holy after He spoke the world into existence. Like He explained clearly what murder and adultery were, He said it's lawful to do good on Sabbath.
Of course one is free, for now, to interpret it as "do what you want" day. Like you said on the other thread, He will give you what you want. :)

The Lord's day in Revelation - it looks to me it's what Malachi 4:5 and Joel 2:28-31 were speaking about. First the warning to the churches and then the 7 seals, 7 trumpets and 7 bowls and the end.

Jesus is the Sabbath - He said in the flesh: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

He spoke through the writer of Genesis: "By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done."

He spoke through Moses on Mount Sinai: "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."

Is Jesus the Word of God?
Did He say come to Him and forget about what He commanded before?

We all are walking the same path, some slow, some quicker. Let's help each other.

In the quote of our Savior giving us rest, I have always understood He is talking about His teaching as opposed to the teaching of the hypocrites who weigh heavy burdens they, themselves, would not lift a finger to move. He is our peace, but I must confess, I have never experienced total rest when I was obliged to work. Now that I am retired, I still believe the Seventh Day is to be hallowed, as the Word, Yeshua, teaches us, and always has taught us.

I know most will find this incredible, but I could be wrong in my understanding of the rest Yeshua gives us, but in all truth, I do not believe so. Yahweh bless all who seek to pleas their Maker, amen.

I understand this way too but considering He's the Word, coming to Him is in effect coming to His words i.e. His commandments rather than teachings of human traditions.

Total rest would come when His Kingdom comes and His will is done on earth, the new earth. Now we get a glimpse of what it's like, no worldly entertainment nor worries for one day in a week, and look forward to the eternal one.

Hey I'm probably among the few like you. He promised peace in Numbers 6:22-27 and He promised again in John 14:27.

God blessed the first Sabbath after the creation of the world etc. Adam and Eve already knew that the Sabbath was made to rest on as God did. Although there were no written law, mankind knew about the law of God as they realized that they sinned after eating of the forbidden fruit, without a written law. Satan just knew how to use God's Word to twist statements to influence mankind. The Sabbath is very special to God and that is why He made it part of His Commandments. Do you think for one moment that God would make a law just to change His mind later on. I honestly doubt it as God do not make mistakes. If you want to scrap the Sabbath law, which also shows your love towards God when you do hold it, you may as well scrap all the other commandments. The only reason why the Sabbath is such a big issue is that Satan got it right to convince the churches to teach Sunday worshiping which is held by most people today. The whole world is ignoring God's Sabbath and I do not think God is excited about this fact. It is just so sad to see how many people would defend Satan's teaching and do everything in their power to attack the Sabbath followers and to try and attach all sorts of judgement tags etc onto them because they are trying to convey the Truth to those who do not follow God's laws intentionally or non-intentionally. If we do find that something is being said on this site or anywhere else that does not gel with our beliefs, we need to sit back and wonder why. Is is not God that is talking indirectly to you. Somebody once said to me, 'when God show me that I must hold the Sabbath, then I will do so.' I told her that the Bible contains that instruction, what else does she want. She could not answer me as she knew I was right. We need to ask why is the Sunday, a man-made law, being held and not the Sabbath and what was the reason for the change. If the laws were made just for the Jews, then adultery, stealing etc would be ok in this world today, as that is also part of God's Commandments. Maybe that is what is happening in the world today, they all see that the Law of God is not important anymore and guess what, Satan enjoys every moment of it because he has all these people in his corner. We are definitely in the end of times as people would hear but do not hear, they will see but not see. I would rather follow God to the best of my ability and pray that God will accept it and provide me the strength to do so, and to give me more light where I need it, so that I may be in His Kingdom one day. My life on this earth is short in comparison with what I can have with Him. I also would not like to be burnt with fire and brimstone because that is how Satan and his followers will be destroyed. I do not worry if I am not popular amongst people, friends and family for spreading the Truth as my goal is to be with God one day. Do you think that Jesus Christ was popular amongst His people? No, He was not and that is why He was crucified. He spread the Truth and the people around Him did not believe Him and did not like what He said. They spat on Him, cursed Him, bruised Him and eventually, killed Him. At the end of the day, Jesus even prayed for them asking God to forgive them because they did not know what they were doing. I am proud of keeping the Sabbath, as the Sabbath was given to me to enjoy and to remind me who the true God is. When I became a child of God and accepted Jesus Christ as the Son of God in my life, the Law was written on my heart and mind, and I enjoy living out the Commandments and it is not difficult to do so. I am that one step closer to God as I am doing what He has commanded me to do to the best of my ability, and I do not do it because I am forced to do it. I also do not judge people when I spread the Truth but have a mere desire that everyone in this world be saved one day.

You are right. We just need to open our eyes and ears and be prepared to change our ways if we do find that we are going in the wrong direction. It is like driving to a distant town with your car and only a road map. If you do not follow the route that is mapped out, you will never get to your destination and end up lost.

I feel very sorry for anyone who can write such long posts in total disobedience to The God of the Bible. God's word is SOooo clear . The New Testament is so clear. Please pray for the Holy SPIRIT'S conviction, Love to all, Hoffco

Sorry ,I forgot to answer the question. Jesus, as the LORD of His Sabbath, change it to the FIRST day, Sunday. , in the N.T.. And those who disobey Jesus' final word on TRUTH, might have a hard time entering into The New Jerusalem. Pray for their salvation. Love to all, Hoffco

As many as those that command us to worship on Saturday.

I challenge you to give me just one verse from the KJV Bible that cancels the Sabbath Commandment for Sunday worshiping and I will give you US$10,000, and if you can't, you need to pay me seeing that you could provide 'as many as those to worship the Saturday.'

Please provide some proof from the KJV Bible and I will provide you proof that Jesus confirmed that the Commandments are still valid.

You have a lot to say about people writing long posts and I will keep this short. What studies have you made or are you just quoting your ministers teachings? If God's Word is so clear to you, why have you not found the Truth about the Sabbath. You are defending Satan's man-made laws. I will pray for you that your mind and heart be opened for the Truth.
