Why such hatred for the seventh day?

In those times rest was needed but they were afraid if they doesn't hunt for food and or go through the process of making it, that they will be without. They'd tried to gather in as much as they can before it is gone or a famine or drought comes and destroy everything. The devil has kept them busy so that they cannot seek God, but when they have gotten comfortable like David, they have gotten lazy and strayed away from God.

(Beside, this verse stating that no one has reached to the point of this resting period; so basically the seventh day hasn't came, yet. We are suppose to be preparing ourselves for this special day)

Hagar, an Egyptian slave girl. Egypt is the type for the bondage of sin. A slave girl is not born free. The first covenant failed because most of the Israelites cherished their sinful life while they were slaves. The majority persecuted the few who were faithful. Our Lord, Yeshua, was a Jew. He taught of and from the Faith of Abraham. He united belieiving non-Jews with Jews being the Gate of their enemies, after all the enemies of Yahweh would have been also the enemies of the Jews. Jesus is the King of the Jews. All who are subjects of the King, logically, are spiritually, Jews, and Children of Israel. To understand this takes understanding the history of the Faith from Adam to the final amen of Revelation.
So people are right in one respect, the Sabbath of the Lord, the Seventh Day, is for the Jews.
Not that I have any hatred for the sabbath nor see it as changed that is Sunday,Monday Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday and Saturday are all seven called days of the week and it would not be reasonable to think they could be changed any more than to say we could reverse the roles of the sun and the moon. It would be as if one forgot that "and on the seventh day thou shalt rest" is also preceded by "six days shalt labour and do all thy work",,so in as much as one is commanded to rest also he is commanded to do labour. Therein by portion of sevenths one seventh is for rest and six sevenths is commanded by God that we are to work.
In the day that we are given to rest all of our servants are also to rest and also our beast of burden,no fires lit,no preparation of food ect. as you know. That is though other than the levies,the high priest ect. that is they are commanded to do the temple work on the sabbath day and the days preceding the feast,Sabbaths,ect. Now this was accomplished year after year from Horeb until the temple was destroyed in ad70 and then the priesthood was then given to the christian body to be accomplished(kings and priest) and Jesus is made the high priest after the order of Melchizedek as we know and continues until today and forever. The same the priest who serve the high priest of the tribe of Judah also are required to labour on the sabbath.
There are many denominations of they who follow the seventh day Sabbath in seventh-day churches - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and they are from one extreme to the other as to how they believe to accomplish the sabbath. There are the s.d.a.'s,the Davidians,branch Davidians,Shepard's rod's,Judaism some baptist, and some Pentecostal,,,and many others who see to rest on the sabbath(7th day). The issue of whether or not someone hates the sabbath is not the Issue.
The issue is if we look at the manner in which the seventh day is honored by those who follow it,the manner of practice is not consistent. The thing that we from the outside see is this can you light a fire(they still use their heaters and stoves on the sabbath).,,,does the fire in the car motor count(they all use their cars on the sabbath),,do they turn off the lights water and gas on the sabbath and tell the utility companies that they cannot buy or sell on the sabbath and they cannot have servants(utility workers) doing any labor for them(they don't they leave the utilities on and have servants working for them and not resting),,,
Can they travel farther than a sabaths day journey on the sabbath?(most of them live more than a mile from their church and go their every sabbath),,,I was very curious if they buy and sell on the sabbath,is it OK to go to wall-mart on the way home from church on the sabbath?(i notice them at the wall-mart buying food and then stop to buy gas at the convenience stores),,Is there a way to get the light company not to charge you on the sabbath?,that is do they take for instance 31 days in a month and 4 of them are Sabbaths and only charge you for 27?,
Does the phone work on the sabbath or is there a different plan for those who honor the sabbath? If it still works on the sabbath then you are being charged for the service for it on the sabbath isn't that buying on the sabbath? How does the wifi work or the other types of i.s.p.'s is there one that works all the way up to sundown Friday and then goes off and comes back on sundown Saturday?
We could go on and on with this,I have said the same things for years. Every time I say it then will come post after post and everyone will explain that you can actually buy and sell on the sabbath. then another where you can have the utility workers(servants) not resting on the sabbath. And still another will come and explain that you don't actually have to turn off all your utilities on the sabbath,or disconnect your phone,and that its OK to use your computers on the sabbath even though you are buying electricity and paying you I.s.p.,,,,At the end of it we are faced with a dilemma "we are told if we don't honor the sabbath we are going to have the plagues poured out on us,and then be cast into hell,and if we do we don't actually have to do any of it",,,,
In the end shouldn't all of those get together and drill water wells for the ones who don't want to buy water on the sabbath? Shouldn't by now be stores all over the world that are closed on the sabbath? Wouldn't that just make more sense,that is if all the businesses had signs on the front door that said "closed for sabbath" wouldn't that be a good way to get the message across? All the other employes in the places where we all work wouldn't it really get the message across if after they told us they were sda that they actually don't show up for work on the sabbath? shouldn't by now with all the different denominations of Christians who follow the sabbath and the Jews all have businesses set up all over the place to accommodate the sabbath?
Any way I have no hatred for the sabbath,or for any group of people,nor any individual. The only point at the end is that after hearing the sermons for such a long time and then considering the matter Ive never seen anyone actually stop and not buy and sell,and do nothing but rest on the sabbath. It's just that "your suppose to rest,you don't have to rest",,"your not suppose to buy,it's OK to buy","your not suppose to sell,it's OK to sell" Ive been to a lot of towns and watched a lot of people,I have gone to a s.d.a. church in Texas city Texas and a c.o.g. in Webster Texas every member said the same things with a few differences but as i sat back and watched them they all did the very things they said don't do on the sabbath.
I lived in buffalo Texas for about 2 years I was about 30-40 minutes from the Waco compound,branch Davidians,I did not meet David Koresh but the members of his church were all around the area some I met others no. The ones I spoke to(before the Waco siege) would say just about the same thing we are posting about(Sabbath day),,but the huge difference was this,,,On the compound they had their own water(didn't buy h2o on the sabbath) they used elect. but didn't have it connected all of the time(used generators except on sabbath),they did not cook on the sabbath,they did not buy nor sell. they were for all practical purposes setting up the compound(mount Carmel) so that they could all live there or close to there. When the sabbath came they all could stay their so they didn't have to travel more than a Sabbaths days journey. that is of all the sabath day followers i have ever met these were/are the closest to it ive seen.,,,,
But look what the world said about it,,they tried to set up a place to honor the sabbath(world said they were in a fortafied bunker),,,,they said that God did not want them to live as the world and the u.s. was babylon(world said they were reclusive and plotting against the u.s.),,,they tried their best far as i could tell to set up the very enviroment to honor the sabbath,,and look what it got them. But of all those who i have heard say the sabbath day serman these were the only ones i saw trying to actually do it,,all the others say do it,,and then say why you dont have to.

Some do hate the Sabbath and Sabbath keepers, some are indifferent. As man's time to rule on Earth draws nearer the end, closer to the great and terrible day, may we all get our house in order and see the truth. Love the things of God, and distinguish between profitable and unprofitable. We will have no excuse, when we give account for how we spent our time.

The sabbath day is not of law it is God ordained at th beginning by God not man and by faith the sabbath day is , and its the way jesus taught us to observe it not like in law but of true righteousness
Once more out of context. The OP question is not directed at brethren who believe the Seventh Day is the first day, it is directed at those who are vehemently opposed to following the instructions of the Father on what His will is on the suject.

I think the issue would be best addressed by actually obeying the sabbath. The thing that stands out most of all is that we all constantly hear those preaching the sabbath Sunday is the mark of the beast,those who don't follow the sabbath on Saturday will have the plagues poured out on them and be cast into hell ect.ect,,,,

So we look at the sda'a and cog members in all of our towns because they are telling us this,,but lo and behold if you watch them they themselves are not honoring the sabbath that they preached so hard to teach. They themselves buy and sell and go about life as though they don't believe the things they say.
So why tell us at all if in the end of the sermon you are going to go about life the exact same as the others? If instead we saw them doing those things that they are saying it would be a whole lot easier to accept. But in the end when we watch them in our towns we see them letting their own children do all of the things they teach not to do on the sabbath. If not then where are all of the sabbath day followers honoring the sabbath at? From sundown Friday till sundown Saturday we have watched and sabbath after sabbath year after year there is no difference in what we see you do when compared to what we do,we all go about life the same.

I love the Seventh Day as the Sabbath of the Lord. I observe it perfectly every week, how? why? I observe it perfectly remembering what Yeshua, Jesus, would do. When mercy is not in that day, iit s not being observed in the light. An example: I am not a wealthy person, hardly eating meat at all due to my pension not allowing for it. If there should ever be a sale on anything I need, there is nothing wrong with my going to that store and buying it. Incidentally, this particular store has one day sales, you guessed it, on Saturdays. Anything that is good one may do, such as having to work on the Sabbath. Yeshua has taught us by His Example, don't blow it by expecting others to do what He would not do.

Now if your Bible says "Sabbath of the Jews" here, return it and get your money back, it contains misprints. The Sabbath was made for the Jews?

Who will keep the Sabbath in the Millennium?
Isa 66:22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
Notice that ALL FLESH will keep the Sabbath. Again, if your Bible says "Jewish flesh" here, return it and get your money back.
I would be careful calling the fourth Commandment utter nonsense.
There very much is a difference. I am not an SDA and disagree with many of their doctrines but I do keep the seventh day Sabbath.
I do notice that just about every one of the groups that say they should worship every day, worship in the first day of the week.

The hatred and rejection is against the idea that the NT believer is required to keep the Sabbath as they did under the law of Moses. If you keep the Sabbath and believe you should, then you believe that you are required to do it and don't lie and say you don't. If you are required to keep the Sabbath then all believers are required as well. There was one law and everyone had to obey it and when it comes to keeping the Sabbath under the law it is the same, it is not just for some. But Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes (Rom 10:4). Some of you try to twist that verse and say that keeping the Sabbath is something you do because you love God and want to honor that command. The only reason you keep the law of the Sabbath is for the sake of righteousness. If you did not think it to be a righteous act to keep the Sabbath you would not do it, but you do it to be accepted for righteousness sake. If you deny that then you are lying to the Holy Spirit and the body of Christ in whom the Spirit dwells.

I would like those who agree with your opinion to attemtp to understand this. The Laws given by Yahweh to Moses which Yahweh wrote down, Himself, are the Ten Commandments. When you say "The hatred and rejection is against the idea that the NT believer is required to keep the Sabbath as they did under the law of Moses," it seems you are not aware that the Seventh Day was made and kept separate long before Moses wrote down the other laws. Also if you keep in mind that the Commandments were taken from the stone and engraved on the flesh of our hearts when we came to Yeshua, you may begin to understand that our new nature is to follow and obey God, not out of dread of the curse of the law rather out of our newfound love for God. Now we are not ashamed to teach others the commandments of Yahweh, for He has inscribed them on our hearts. Understand. Hear the Word, Yeshua, and worship our Maker.
Staying close to Jesus is very important to me, so i spend as much time as i can with Him. The Sabbath was given to us as a gift. When i was a child i was taught not to look a gift horse in the mouth. On that day when Our Lord Savior The Christ will be saying well done to some, and to others that He never knew them. Like someone said in one of the posts, no excuses! i do my best to stay near to Jesus, and in doing that He stays near to me.
