Pipp's eyes widened. "What, wait, ladybugs are'nt blue"!! said Pipp, quite in shock at the unusual color of the blue ladybug perched on the leaf in front of her. "Of course, ladybugs are'nt blue, you silly girl"!!, the little ladybug said with a sly grin on her tiny face. MissCris, who until now, had been entranced by the delicious coffee-tasting river water, came over and said, "Pipp what are you rambling..whoa wait a minute!!", said MissCris, peering down at the tiny blue dot in front of her. "How is it you can talk?", she asked. The blue ladybug answered and said, "that river water there has magical powers. It is not good for you to drink from, though."
"Why not", asked Pipp curiously. "Because it makes you see and taste things that aren't really there," the blue ladybug stated knowingly. "You two girls start going down the road right here, and dont forget your half-drowned friend Wisebeardman either." "Oh my goodness," Pipp squeaked. "We almost forgot Wisebeardman"!! Wisebeardman, still choking on river water, sputtered, "next time stop talking to yourselves"!! "What do you mean talking to ourselves? We're talking to the blue ladybug!! Dont you see her?" Wisebeardman chuckled and said to Pipp and Miss Cris, "I certainly do not see a blue ladybug!! You two need to lay off the coffee and cupcakes!!" Pipp and MissCris turned and looked at the leaf the blue ladybug had been sitting on, but all they saw was....an empty leaf!!
"Where did she go"? Pipp asked. "She could'nt have gone far, we would've seen her leave," said MissCris..Suddenly, from up the road, came a tiny voice. "Excuse me! Yeah, you three!! Let's get moving on down the road. And stay away from the water"!!
Pipp said, "She seems to be a very wise ladybug, maybe we should follow her, because I've heard ladybugs NEVER get lost." The blue ladybug huffed, "Of course we never get lost!!I've migrated my way from the Caribbean to Australia a million times!! Now shake a leg and let's go!!"
Chapter 9 Blue Ladybug leads the way and finds Arwen83
"Why not", asked Pipp curiously. "Because it makes you see and taste things that aren't really there," the blue ladybug stated knowingly. LadyBug and the ladies reach a beautiful old stone bridge over a creek, the ladies were thirsty and ran to get a drink, Ladybug yelled out, "no stop!!" But it was too late. For you see there is a troll that romes this part of the forest. He lives under the stone bridge and whoever drinks from his creek gets under his spell and causes conflict. "I know I shouldn't have followed you, look where we are. I am tired, I want to go back home. You always do this to me. You're a bad friend." Suddenly the troll began to crawl out of his dwelling. "HA. Yes yes, this is good. Very entertainment. Such fight. Wow. Yes yes" The troll jumped up and down in glee. "Now see here, you troll! For I know who you are!" Exclaimed ladybug. "Leave this place! Let these girls go from your spell!" "Or what!" Challenged the Troll. Just as he said that, arwen83 returned to aid them. "Troll! Release them! By the Authority that lives among the trees, waters, animals, everything light and living. He dwells here, you must leave!" The power of the troll water began to fall away. "You ladies okay?! I was so worried!" Ladybug cried out. "Yes thanks to- wait, where did she go?" The ladies look at each other, shrug the shoulders and continued their journey with Ladybug.

Night soon fell, and the girls remembered that the Wise beard man said that it was dangerous during this time. The Blue Lady Bug told them to remain calm and all would be well. They decided to look for shelter, to sleep for the night. As they searched high and low, Pipp accidently crashed into MissChriss. "Why don't you watch were you're going?" yelled Miss Cris. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean too.," cried Pipp. "Yeah whatever." said Miss Cris as she rolled her eyes. "And just exactly what is that suppose to meahn?" screamed Pipp. "Girls, girls, calm down! We must remain calm or all will be lost." sighed the Blue Lady Bug, but the girls could not hear her in the midst of their argument.

The Mooky began to search their soul's and deep within she reached their core. And just as she found their center a voice yelled, "STOP!!" It was the Dutchess Aimee. She had come to rescue them. "Leave, they are under my protection," roared the Dutchess. Instantly the Mooky disappeared.
Miss Chriss and Pipp both started blabbering and crying all at the same time, neither making sense. "Girls, calm yourselves. You are alright. If you learn to control your fears and your temper, you will have nothing to fear. She can not harm those who has peace within." "Oh Dutchess, thank you so much for rescuing us." cried both the girls. "We didn't know what would happen." "It's all over now, so let's find you shelter for the night."
Suddenly, above them a meow was heard, and out popped Arwen83. "Follow me, there is a cabin up ahead. You will be safe there. It is the home of those once fallen and their spirits protect the innocent."

When they entered, they found... beds and warm blankets, perfect for a goodnights sleep. Arwen83 once again disappeared from their sight, "that is really starting to get annoying", MisCriss said and rolled her eyes. Wisebeardman started a fire in a small stove in the kitchen. "Ah, finally. We've had quite the journey!" The girls sighed. "But we miss our homes. We need to find away out of this forest, to go homewardbound." The blue ladybug replied "I know you are wiry, please rest now, we will speak more of this in the morning". Wisebeardman, the ladies, Dutchess and ladybug fell fast asleep.
They were awaken by birds singing and fresh air of the forest. Wisebeardman had already gone out to capture breakfast. "Rabbit stew, or deer, berries even would tie us over!" Pipp exclaimed followed by a yawn and a stretch. "Hmm The Blue Ladybug and The Dutchess must have went out to help him find food, we're the only ones here" Miscriss said. After 20 minutes, Pipp's stomach began to grumble, "Well I am done with waiting, I am going out there on my own. I won't be far, there must be a berry bush near here. Are you joining me?" Miscriss reluctantly agreed. So the two girls went looking in the forest for food. They weren't too far away from the cabin when they heard "HALT! Who goes there?!" They turned around to see a knight on a horse. "Who are you?" Pipp asked in a small voice. "HA! Who am I? Its more like who are YOU?! You are tresspassing, punished by two weeks of hard labour in the King's stables!!" "Sir, w-we didn't know we were, you see there was a man and a ladybug with us guiding us ho-" "WHAT! A ladybug was GUIDING you?! LIES! Come with me, King Shouryu will deal with you too". So ladies were captured. Miscriss and Pipp kept looking back to see if they would see Wisebeardman, Dutchess or The blue ladybug to come save them. But nothing.
After a few hours of walking, they came to a draw bridge with a guard, "Who goes there!?""It is I, Descyple, the king's only brave and gallant knight!" The ladies rolled their eyes. "I have captured trespassers and sending them up to the king!" The drawbridge came down and they entered the city walls.

As the ladies and Descyple entered the city walls, Pipp and MissCris looked around in wonder. The castle they were in was immense . MissCris said sarcastically, "this place is so medieval!! This King Shouryo of yours seriously needs an interior decorator to make it look modern"!! Pipp rolled her eyes, and said "Shut up MissCris, the least of our worries is the furnishings in here"!! MissCris said "pfft fine then," and they proceeded to follow Descyple into the mysterious castle.
Suddenly, Descyple said, "Your majesty, I've brought you these trespassers. They were speaking of interior decorators, whatever those are"!! King Shouryo said, "Thank you, you may go now, Descyple. Have a seat, ladies." MissCris said snidely, "nice place ya got here, your kingship." Pipp poked her in the ribs, HARD, and muttered " would you shut your big mouth before he throws us to the crocodiles in the moat"!!
King Shouryo laughed and said, "Aha, I see you've been drinking the river water. Those crocodiles are not real, they are merely an illusion, as is everything else in the Enchanted Forest." Pipp boldly said, "I know what crocodiles look like, and those are real!! Have you seen the teeth on those suckers?!! Their like giant fangs"!!
MissCris said, "we are looking for our friends, arwen83, wisebeardman, Dutchess Aimee and a blue ladybug." All of a sudden, King Shouryo started to tremble. "D-did you say Dutchess Aimee and a blue ladybug"? His face turned white and his eyes looked like big marbles. "Dutchess Aimee is the enchantress!! And the blue ladybug is the keeper of the forest!" Suddenly, he yelled, "Descyple, get your white knight butt in here! I demand you set these ladies free! They're friends of Dutchess Aimee and the blue ladybug! As long as Pipp and MissCris are under their protection, we cannot hold them here."
Descyple led Pipp and MissCris outside, back to the safety of the forest. As he went back inside, suddenly a Tourist came shuffling by. "Hello girls," he said with a big smile. "Hi", Pipp and MissCris said at the same time. "I'm looking for a way out of this forest," said Tourist. "You better stick with us," Pipp said. "We need to find Dutchess Aimee, wisebeardman, and the blue ladybug," MissCris said.
All of a sudden, arwen83's face popped out of nowhere in the sky, and the girls heard a voice saying, "Well, finally! I see the King has set you free"!! Pipp and Misscris were so excited to see arwen83 and the little ladybug, that they both jumped up and down in the air like silly fools. "Would you puhleeze reserve your mirth for later?!" the blue ladybug mumbled as she rolled her eyes. "Let's move along now"!! Tourist said, "what about me"? The blue ladybug looked at arwen83, who nodded her head in agreement. Blue ladybug said, "You come with us. We need to go find wisebeardman."

"But where could he be?" asked MissCris with a tone of exasperation in her voice. It is likely that this journey has taken a heavy toll on the girls. "Oh, I didn't think of that.. hmm .. let me see", said blue ladybug. Tourist was losing interest in this crowd of lost travellers and he was thinking whether he should set off by himself. "Oh I know where he could be", said arwen83, who suddenly sounded excited. "I remember that he often used to tell me about his favourite hideout. I think he must have gone there when he couldn't find us."
"Do you know where this hideout is?", asked an irritated tourist. He could not believe that his company consisted of one perpetually hungry girl, another who craved coffee all day long, a blue ladybuy and a ghost who goes missing when it matters most.
"Yes, I do. It is called the Garden of persNickety. It is just before the Mount of Tintin."
"And how far is it?", asked Pipp.
"About an hour's walk from here. We should reach there right in time for lunch."
"Let's get going girls. Lunch must be waiting for us!", said an excited blue ladybug.
They started moving along the winding road. The road looked like a well-trodden path that snaked between the trees as it ran along the edge of the forest. There were beautiful flowers on either sides and their fragrance filled the air. There was a pleasant breeze blowing through the trees. "What a beautiful day to have a walk! If only we were not lost like this!", cried Pipp. MissCris turned to her worried friend and said, "It's okay, Pipp, as long as we stick together we should be out of here in no time".
And so the journey continued uneventfully. Except for the occasional sigh of tourist as he peered at the path ahead of them and the constant chatter of the two girls, the group seemed to be having no problem with the long walk.
THUD! THUD! THUD!
What sounded like giant steps echoed across the forest trees. There was a heavy rustle among the trees as if they were being shaken by a strong wind. "Oh no, oh no, oh no! What's this?" MissCris cried as she cowered behind Pipp and tourist. "Uh oh, this is not good. This is definitely not good. Blue ladybug has the jeepers, and when blue ladybug has the jeepers then it is definitely not good!", said blue ladybug as she furiously flew back and forth in front of the group. arwen83 and tourist stood rooted to the ground with their eyes wide open.
THUD! THUD! It sounded like the giant was walking towards them.
"I'm gonna find a place to hide", said Pipp as she made a dash for the nearest tree she could find. Blue ladybug took a quick look behind her back and said "Quick, let's all hide!" arwen83 flew into the branches above her and vanished into the leaves while the rest of the group were forced to find shelter in the ground below. "Here! Here!", exclaimed tourist as he dragged the group into a large hole in the trunk of a tree. "Get in won't ya?" he shouted at Pipp who was hesitant to get inside the tree. "Does it have any creepy crawlies?" asked a worried Pipp. MissCris shoved her inside and said, "Oh goodness, just get in!"

THUD! the giant's footsteps sounded alot closer now. Pipp decided maybe she should bite the bullet and follow MissCris into the hole in the tree, muttering again, "I hate creepy crawlies"!!
As the giant approached, it seemed like the whole forest would cave in from the noise. Unable to see or hear them, the giant moved on, and Pipp, who had been holding her breath the entire time, uttered a relieved "oh thank goodness"! Arwen83 poked her head out of the Sunnysky, and blue ladybug emerged from the tree with an ant in her mouth. "Well, I was hungry", she said, embarassed that she was thinking about food when they were about to be trampled by the giant. Then the whole group decided they better get moving along before the giant came back again. As they moved through the forest, MissCris, who was hoping to find a cup of coffee SOMEWHERE, tripped over a vine and bumped into Pipp, who in turn knocked down Tourist. "Watch it! Pay attention where you're going"! Tourist grumbled. Arwen83 and the blue ladybug turned around, looked at the three disheveled travelers, and rolled their eyes. "Look, you can argue later! We need to find wisebeardman"!! the blue ladybug snapped. Arwen83 muttered, "Amen"!!
Suddenly they heard a noise coming through the trees. A dirty, unkempt, wet wisebeardman emerged, saying "At last! Finally I found you guys"!! The blue ladybug said accusingly, "I see you're wet again. You have'nt been swimming in the river water again, have you"? Wisebeardman said, "Well, not exactly swimming, really. You see Tourist knocked me in there when I met up with him earlier." Arwen83 said, "Now why on earth would he knock you into the water"? Wisebeardman said, "Apparently, he did'nt like the advice I gave him as how to get out of this enchanted forest."
Pipp and MissCris started an unending fit of giggling, Tourist rolled his eyes, and said, "Well, if you'd have given me better directions, I would'nt have had to knock you in the water! You aint so wise after all! Why, the blue ladybug is wiser than you"!! Wisebeardman huffed, "yeah ok whatever". Pipp had stopped giggling but MissCris was laughing so hard she started to snort.
The blue ladybug said, "MissCris stop that snorting right now!! Duchess Aimee HATES the sound of snorting!! MissCris uttered one last giggle, then said, "where is Duchess Aimee"? Arwen83 said, "She is here, she is there, she's everywhere. She only appears when she wants to, but she always knows what happens in the enchanted forest." Wisebeardman, who by now had composed himself somewhat, and who had not been able to see the blue ladybug earlier, said, "Whoa, are you for real"?, as he tried poking one of her wings. "Ouch, hey stop that now!! Of course I'm real"! Wisebeardman said, "No way"! The ladybug retorted, "There are three places where blue ladybugs really do exist. In the enchanted forest, in Australia, and in the Caribbean." Pipp piped up and said, "Ooh I've been to the Caribbean before--it's sooo beautiful"!! Tourist muttered, "And I've been to Australia before. Beautiful country." The group walked a little further, until they came to the garden of Persnickety. Tourist and wisebeardman sat down to rest, Pipp and MissCris smelled the flowers, the blue ladybug sat on a rose and drank some nectar to strengthen her to bring these pitiful lost people through the enchanted forest, and as always, arwen83 disappeared into the Sunnysky once again.

As the giant approached, it seemed like the whole forest would cave in from the noise. Unable to see or hear them, the giant moved on, and Pipp, who had been holding her breath the entire time, uttered a relieved "oh thank goodness"! Arwen83 poked her head out of the Sunnysky, and blue ladybug emerged from the tree with an ant in her mouth. "Well, I was hungry", she said, embarassed that she was thinking about food when they were about to be trampled by the giant. Then the whole group decided they better get moving along before the giant came back again. As they moved through the forest, MissCris, who was hoping to find a cup of coffee SOMEWHERE, tripped over a vine and bumped into Pipp, who in turn knocked down Tourist. "Watch it! Pay attention where you're going"! Tourist grumbled. Arwen83 and the blue ladybug turned around, looked at the three disheveled travelers, and rolled their eyes. "Look, you can argue later! We need to find wisebeardman"!! the blue ladybug snapped. Arwen83 muttered, "Amen"!!
Suddenly they heard a noise coming through the trees. A dirty, unkempt, wet wisebeardman emerged, saying "At last! Finally I found you guys"!! The blue ladybug said accusingly, "I see you're wet again. You have'nt been swimming in the river water again, have you"? Wisebeardman said, "Well, not exactly swimming, really. You see Tourist knocked me in there when I met up with him earlier." Arwen83 said, "Now why on earth would he knock you into the water"? Wisebeardman said, "Apparently, he did'nt like the advice I gave him as how to get out of this enchanted forest."
Pipp and MissCris started an unending fit of giggling, Tourist rolled his eyes, and said, "Well, if you'd have given me better directions, I would'nt have had to knock you in the water! You aint so wise after all! Why, the blue ladybug is wiser than you"!! Wisebeardman huffed, "yeah ok whatever". Pipp had stopped giggling but MissCris was laughing so hard she started to snort.

Arwen83 said, "She is here, she is there, she's everywhere. She only appears when she wants to, but she always knows what happens in the enchanted forest." After everyone had rested and refreshed themselves, the blue ladybug said, "Duchess Aimee loves the garden of Persnickety. She hopes to come here someday and find her true love waiting here for her." Pipp said, "awww how romantic"!! Tourist spoke up and stated, "I met a Duchess once in my travels. But I bet Duchess Aimee is'nt the same one." The blue ladybug said, "Cheer up, tourist! ANYTHING can happen in the enchanted forest"!! MissCris, who had been looking around the garde, joined everyone and said, "I'm thirsty! I want coffee!" Tourist, fed up with these perpetually hungry and thirsty girls, said, "Oh for goodness sake, quit talkin' about coffee! AND cupcakes"!
The blue ladybug said, "Soon we will be at the Mount of Tintin. But we need to get moving before it gets dark. Otherwise, the trolls and giant will be searching for us." Suddenly, the group heard a rustle in the bushes. "Ouch!! Doggone it, that hurt"!, someone said as they emerged from the forest. Immediately, the blue ladybug bowed in front of this newcomer, and arwen83, following the ladybug's lead, took complete form for the first time in a long time, and bowed down too. "Duchess Aimee, it's so nice to see you, my lady"!! they both said at once. Wisebeardman looked upon Duchess Aimee and saw a bedraggled, and certainly most un-regal looking, specimen of beauty. Tourist, who was off to the side, trying to catch a frog, turned around, and unaware of Duchess Aimee's presence, bumped into her.
"Oh my, excuse me madam, I am so sorry"! said an embarassed Tourist. Duchess Aimee, catching sight of this poor lost soul, said, "it's quite alright, sir, no harm done." Then the Duchess said, "little blue ladybug and arwen83, you can get up now. No need to stand on ceremony for me." Without a sound, arwen83 faded away into the Sunnysky, and the blue ladybug selected a sunflower to sit on. "Let's move on towards the Mount of Tintin, shall we"? Duchess Aimee asked. "You know what happens in the enchanted forest after dark"!!
