True. How cool would it be if men and women both just knocked it off and turned their bitterness towards a subject that REALLY deserves it...
Furbies.
Freaky little gremlins, those things.
I'm going with the Furbies. Gremlins can be mean and nasty at times.

But if you remember we had a phase with women constantly coming on the site bashing men. And i was discouraged myself about it, and made a few posts complaining how common it was to keep seeing posts against men. Many people agreed, even some women. It seems to be the ebb and flow of the site on these topics. Sometimes it aims at women, sometimes at men.

The house I'm moving into has a bed, dressers, kitchen stuff, and a few more other things already. This means I only have to pack "the basics", but you never realize how much stuff you have until you have to pull it all out and pack it. All my shoes, purses, clothes, dress clothes, jewelry, books, movies, decorations, etc...they all add up fast! And they have to fit in my little Chevy Cruze. Plus, two cat carriers in the passenger seat means I can only pack the backseat and trunk.

This week will be very busy with work, packing, getting things ready, seeing people for the last time. Saturday night is a big get-together with my friends. I will be a mess when I have to say goodbye. Next Sunday I say goodbye to my church, and after church I leave my parents. I expect to be non-stop crying on Sunday.

One week from today. Lord help me.

Where is it that you're moving, Rachel? I think I probably jumped in here after you talked about that.

the last couple of days i've been sort of overwhelmed with gratitude.

it's funny, i don't think of myself as having a remarkable life. but i've been exposed to some thoughts and tales of late that continue to remind me how important it is for me to never stop giving thanks for the wonderful heritage that i've been blessed with, and the gifts that i cannot ever repay.

and the future that is joyfully secure, in spite of the threat of coming storms -- we know Who holds the future. we serve a risen Savior.

it's amazing to feel such love, mercy and care. we are so very blessed.

I serve a risen Saviour,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.

In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And tho my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

I have had a taste of autumn today. It's nice. Cinnamon, a book, Starbucks, fall music, rainy cool day, sweaters. It's great. It really is. Very nostalgic :)

I'm probably going to get told I'm a cursed freak for what I just told someone in a thread Re: Harry Potter in Miscellaneous. I told the girl to keep her Harry Potter stuff. Seriously, why do some Christians take that stuff so out of context and so seriously? It really drives me nuts.

By the way not the girl who wrote the post, she seemed very sweet, I'm talking about others in her life. I know I'm a Christian I know I believe, but I'm always bothered by the, "Well it's this way or your going to hell." type Christians. I'm not one of those people and sometimes I wonder if I fit in? By that I mean, I'm not the type of person who will tell someone they are going to hell because they live a different lifestyle than I do.

I mean if someone was murdering people or abusing a child or animal would I speak up? Of course, I mean like a gay couple, it's up to God to decide their fate not me. I Question things and I know a lot of Christians who wouldn't. Oh it's in the Bible never ever ever question that. Well what if you're interpretation of something is wrong, IE: woman preachers, I've had a few, who I loved and learned a lot from.

My thought is respect others even though they might not think the way you do. Respect other religions like my Presbyterian religion or Catholic religion. Ugh, this is why I don't venture much out the Singles forum I just can't take it out there. I want to scream.

We should have a 'things we have been called on CC' thread. I was once told that I was an 'apostate against the Church'. Well then.

We should, I was told I was a bad person for trying to help a gay person find a church they'd fit into. Why do I hate that person, why do I want them to go to hell? So wrong, in my opinion, I was also called a Jezebel because I believe it's OK for a woman to preach.

It's OK to call names but not to help people or have your own beliefs. We wonder why so many stray from Christianity? Well maybe it's some individuals like that who choose to put people down that make people stray.
