EG, first of all there will be many sins that we forget we made, or do not realize were sins.

That is why you ask God through our Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness of anything you have done that you have forgotten.
Then you fully trust that He will forgive you, and cast those sins away to never be used against you ever again.

If you EG do not know what sin is, I pray to God through our Lord Jesus Christ that He open your eyes so that you can see.

For anything that is against or put before God and His laws is sin.

Nobody will walk perfectly in those laws, which yes why we are to be saved from the curse of the law. ( spiritual death )

If you continue to walk in darkness ( willful non-repented sin ) you will not be saved.

The curse of the law is not physical death, it is spiritual death ( cast into the lake of fire ).

If the curse was physical death, then no Christian would physically die, and the Apostles except for John would not have been crucified or beat to death.
1. I know what sin is (finally after I stopped focusing on the law)

Sin is anything I do for self.

If I help a senior citizen across the street out of my love for people. I have done good. If I do the same act out of selfish desire (look what I did) I have committed sin, and am condemned a sinner

the fact is, If you stood in front og God right now my friend, You would be astonished of how much sin you commit every day and either do not know it because you have not grown yet. or are blind to it because your focused on the law. and not on the things of God and what he truly wants from you.

2. The thing which condemns us s the curse of the law. I already proved to you the law curses everyone who does not obey and keep EVERY aspect of the law. Well I failed the first time I sinned, thus I will NEVER be worthy of eternal life. I can not earn it by repenting a million times for a million sins. I can;t earn it by getting baptized. I can;t earn it by following these rules and religious practices. I CAN NEVER EARN ETERNAL LIFE. It is TOO LATE.

You for some reason think you can. This can only show me you do not understand your dire situation and what truly separates you from God. God gave you the law. And told you you are cursed if you do not obey it all. This should lead you to Christ on your knees, But for some reason you have not figured that out yet. I pray you do soon my friend,

All those who say one scripture makes another of no use is against the word of God. If you do that you are, if you don't do that you aren't.
And here you go with your false accusations and ignorant/ or better yet arrogant judging again.

No one here is saying the scripture is no use, Thats YOUR MISREPRESENTATION of what one says. Not mine.

If you want to be a pharisee and follow the law thinking God will look highly on you. Feel free. That is no sweat of my back, and it is not going to hurt me one iota (except the sadness I will feel for the freedom and growth you could finally see from giving it all to Jesus, instead of seeing you enslaved by the thing which can only condemn you)

I have read your posts enough to know you say when the Lord fulfilled something it means the Lord had nothing to do with fulfilling but getting rid of what was there in the first place.
No.

You read with blinded eyes, Because you want to see what you want to see.

Paul said the Lord fulfilled the law in me, I was made righteous by his death. You evidently deny this, and want to add your own righteousness.

Well thats fin, if you want to feel free. But remember, Paul calls you a FOOL.

Galatians 3:3

Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?

You are constantly playing God saying you know my spirit and all my thoughts. You are not God. You are not to say I am a fool, yet you say vile things about me: Now, immoral person. That I use the law to consider myself moral. You are just making yourself foolish to only throw stones.

1. I did not say it. God did through Paul
2. For someone who keeps telling others what they say and believe, you have some nerve. You just proved what a hypocrite you are.

there is no love in you. your just like the rest of the lawyers. All we have to do is look at the NT jews, and we see a perfect pictutre of you

1. Judgmental
2. Arrogant
3. puffed up in pride
4. Know it all
5. Look down on people who are not as Good as you are, and demand they be as good as you or they must not love God

I can go on and on and on, but I think the room gets the picture.

If you want people to start treating you with some respect. why do you not show some Maybe then you will have a real conversation. You have judged everything I have said for year. and quite frankly I am sick of being told I say stuff I do not say

I think there are many examples of people NOT loving, And being self centered. And we can learn from them.

but what does that have to do with focusing on love?

do you need practical examples to show you how to do something?

here is my problem bro.

If we look to law. We can see ourselves as moral people, and as I have seen so many times (yes even in hear) become judgmental. Because arrogant. Become proud (look how God I am , I am not a sinner like that person is) and miss the real meaning of what sin is.

I grew up in churches that gave a high regaurd to the law (yes churches, I spent 20 some years going to many different churches all around the country) and what I saw was arrogant, Judgmental, Hypocritical people who knew nothing about the law. The gospel. or how to act like God wanted them to act (I myself was clueless after 25 - 30 years of indepth study of the OT and new testament)

I was freed when I FINALLY REALISED. the aw has its place (schoolmaster) and after the schoolmaster has done its job, It has been FULFILLED in our lives. Stop focusing on the law. And start focusing on loving others.

I have matured more as a Christian, Have sinned far less, and have much less focus on myself and how God or not good I am doing.

It is freeing, I found, and am still finding the rest God wants me to have, Which can NOT be found under the law.

Maybe you have not found it, and thats why you are like I was, so hesitant to change. but let me tell ya bro. If you find it. You will not imagine the great freedom and growth you will find..
I am so glad you found peace and freedom. But it sounds to me as if your peace and freedom is from acceptance of obedience to the law rather than against it. I still don't see peace and love in your posts, but judgments of others and accusing. You made the first step, you learned that love is the foundation of law. You are trying to reflect that love actually in obedience to the law you say you are against. You say that your church showed you only unloving people and you knew that was wrong. Now, if you take in all the love God gives you and let it flow out to others you will find just as much release in addition to what you have found.

We only need to be humble before the Lord, listening to every word of scripture, accepting all the Lord is.

I can see why you are so angry with me! You are identifying me with the unloving people you used to know.

Well you would think wrong. I do not need a law to tell me what to do. I just need love to show me what to do.

All the law can do is tell me if I fail. Well I already know I fail. so what good is it?

You want to know why? Because for 25 years I have seen people walk away from God due to people like you. I have seen people give God the finger, I have seen them give up (why bother, I still fail. God can't forgive me, how can he, I see the law, and I am powerless t stop my bessetting sin) I have seen hate and been outright embarrased by being around people like you, Who instead of giving the gospel. act like pharisees judging everyone around them. Like they are so much better (when in reality behind the scene, in the secret of their lives, they are really no better, in their heart attitude, They are just as much sinners as the one they judged ) in fact 5 years of my life was destroyed, Because of people like you. why bother following CHrist, I keep failing. My life is a mess, I have to keep hiding my sin, for fear of getting judged, I can get no help. because all I am told is trust God, if your still sinning your not trusting God.

No one I know has been healed or found power over sin by himself. or by following the law NO ONE!

I have seen more people freed from the power of sin, And the power of adiction in the last 10 years of my life in a church that does not enforce law. or tell people that is how you learn how to do good in the 30 years I was in a church that did. I wonder why this is??

God never wanted us to be by yourself. thats why he gave is the body. He told us to openly confess our sins to one another, how can we do that when all we get is the law thrown in our faces. no love, no forgiveness, No I feel your pain brother, I struggle with some sin also.So I have no right to judge you.
, lets help each other overcome these things. Or I also had to grow and get help from brothers to overcome deep seated sin in my life. Now let me help you.

So you want to know why I get angry, Because I have seen your type destroy lives, NOT SAVE THEN, and most certainly NOT HELP THEM

Yea, I have declared war on lawyers, Just like paul did.

So you condemn and judge people if they disagree with how you see scripture. And I thought you said being unloving and judgmental made you angry! Yet, you feel you can do the same. So you must live with your war. I have the armor of the Lord, so hit at me away. You can't get through to harm me. It has protected me from people just as dangerous as you.

I wonder what terrible hurts you have had in your life! I have been deeply hurt by others, but I didn't find going to war with others was the answer, God's love was the answer. The Lord told me not to try to punish them myself, but let Him do it. You could comfort yourself that if I am as evil as you say, the Lord will take care of it.

If the spirit in you gets angry at God's instructions, it's time to check what kind of spirit that is. Jesus didn't rebel against His Father,, they agree! And that scoolmaster that keeps being brought up? Well typically after graduating, one doesn't disregard everything that he was taught, now does he?

1 Timothy 1Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father, to the younger men as brothers, 2the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity.

..oh wait, that was NEW Testament

*Romans 7:12 KJV*
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

The problem is not with the Law of God because it is good. Because all have sinned then we need a saviour. We need to teach Christ in the law. We need to teach both together.

In the most holy place in the sanctuary is the ark of the covenant. Inside the ark is the covenant, the 10 commandments. Above that is the mercy seat. The two go together.

You are certainly an expert when it comes to twisting the meaning of those verses in Galatians 3, aren't you? It seems as though you have not "graduated" to FAITH and applied what you learned from the schoolmaster (Law). You remain "locked" into the Law. I certainly pray that you will graduate soon. This reminds me of a prisoner who has been set free from his jail cell, the door has been unlocked, yet the prisoner who has now been set free remains inside the jail cell as if he were still locked up.

The Law was not given to make man righteous. It was given to show man his unrighteousness and to lead him to salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ magnified the Law to make men see their need of salvation. This is the purpose of the Law.

Many who profess to believe in salvation by grace actually teach that salvation is achieved by a mixture of grace and works. This was the error of the false teachers in Galatia (Galatians 1-5). The Apostle Paul rebuked these false teachers and stated that by attempting to mix faith and works, law and grace, these teachers had placed themselves under a divine curse (Galatians 1:6-9). This was also the error of the Jewish legalizers whose teachings the Apostles condemned in Acts 15. These false teachers admitted God's grace was necessary for salvation, and they spoke much of the necessity of the blood of Christ and of the need of His power in order to live a holy life. They went beyond this, though, by teaching that grace is to be mixed with obedience to the law in order for a person to be saved. We have our "modern day Pharisees/Judaizers" today who promote the same heresy. The Apostle Paul taught AGAINST this heresy...

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Perhaps a question we all should consider, and ask yourself, do I like God's rules?

What does "liking God's rules" have to do with the topic of this thread?

The Christian is not Under the Law as a Rule of Life, and the Christian is not Under the Law as a Means of Sanctification.

"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace" (Rom. 6:14 and see verse 15)

"This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?" (Gal. 3:2-3)

"But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law" (Gal. 5:18)

"The just shall live by faith and the law is not of faith: but the man that doeth them shall live in them" (Gal. 3:11-12)

The law cannot give life. The law cannot make a person holy. It cannot sanctify. There is no problem with the law (Rom. 7;12) except that sinful, depraved people cannot keep it (Rom. 7:14). Those who put themselves under law will certainly experience bondage because sin will have dominion over them (compare Rom. 6:14). Jesus Christ is our rule of life: "For to me to live is Christ" (Phil. 1:21). Our fleshly struggles and striving to keep God’s holy law can only end in failure. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death" (Rom. 8:2). The law can never be fulfilled by us, but it can be fulfilled IN US by the power and working of God appropriated by faith: "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" (Rom. 8:4). Salvation is "by grace through faith" and so is sanctification.

.

umm, guess you got me there! How about "NOT liking God's rules" then? You say Our fleshly struggles and striving to keep God’s holy law can only end in failure. That's not what Jesus said..:
[h=1]Matthew 11:30[/h][SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Have you ever wondered what He meant by that? I have. It's so cool! (just like everything else in the Word) Jesus was a Rabbi, right? He taught with authority, did He not? The yoke is simply what the Rabbi taught, and Jesus taught the spirit and truth of Torah without all the burdensome added rabbinic laws! His yoke was easier to obey than the others, that's one of the reasons He attracted such huge crowds, they didn't know He was the Son of God, they just wanted life to be easier! and it is easier, with Messiah inside you, it is possible.

Thanks K. Another thought, an elaboration that is. When we learn the laws of Yahweh in the light of Grace, and we obey Yeshua, and most of all, we believe Him we find it is easier (joyous actually) to do what Yeshua teaches us to do than to do what the man of the cloth (rabbis, preachers) dictate to their assemblies. Now I have said "man of the cloth." On those rare occasions when a teacher is indeed a man of the spirit, the teachings will be from Yeshua.

If anyone believes I am being too hard on preachers, it is only from learning from our Savior what to expect in these times. He was not wrong, all is just as He foretold us. We who hear Him. Apostasy does indeed abound, and just before the last trump, Yahweh will call His children out of that great whore on seven hills, the mother of whores. Her daughters would be many of the assemblies extant in the last moments of what we now call time. All get ready, be prepared to see our Salvation on a cloud coming down to meet us all in the air. Praise Yeshua, surely He is returning soon, amen.

Well, I would think my point is obvious...Lawkeepeers do not rightly divide the word of truth. They are brought into a deliberately obtuse position refusing to accept new testimony that has been clearly written. While the same thing could be said, the "lawkeeper" has no ability to demonstrably prove his position. The Word is not of a private interpretation and even in a very short discussion it becomes obvious who is believing the Word and who is trying to bring people back into bondage. The Bible isn't full of all these "different positions" all of which can be equally asserted. It is a clear concise narrative of what Christ has done throughout man's history. People who try to make one part of it more important than another are wresting the scriptures and teaching heresy. Hence in light of Scripture, the lawkeeper is no different than a Pharisee, regardless of how loud they shout or abuse others. They have a scripturally unsubstantiated position even though they attempt to use many clever and deceitful devices to divert the issue away from this. I hope at least that THIS post was more obvious about why I said what I said.
Lawkeepers who only tell of scripture telling of the need to the best they can to keep the law are only reporting scripture. Scripture tells many things against lawkeepers. If it is done legalistically it is ineffective. If it is done for salvation it is ineffective. But many scriptures explain the good of the law, and it is against scripture to say there is no good in the law.

We are told to not add to or take away from scripture, yet those against Christ when Christ tells us to obey are taking away from scripture. Besides they, like the Pharisees are bragging about how righteous they are in doing so.

Seeing scripture thru a Hebrew mindset has really opened up my understanding. Learning about the culture of that day, what the words of Jesus would have meant to the audience He addressed, so many things like that makes it so much easier to relate to. also, the fact that the old writings were all they had at that time, the new T hadn't been written, and Messiah got His message across to those familiar with Torah. I want to be able to understand as best I can everything He said, so I'm studying Torah, and it is wonderful!!!

We are living in the last days brother. It's why you hear so many professing Christians say Torah is bad, that Messiah changed all of that. It's not true, He didn't abolish law or prophets, He said so. And also, if He had been the rebel that recanted all that had gone before, He wouldn't have been the One of Promise. Thank Yah in Heaven, He lives, and He is coming back soon. Oh yeah, and if you don't know Torah you can't possibly understand the New Testament. Just that fact alone debunks all the lawless.

The Apostle Paul rebuked these false teachers and stated that by attempting to mix faith and works, law and grace, these teachers had placed themselves under a divine curse (Galatians 1:6-9).

True, Linda.

Unfortunately for these legalists who preach a lukewarm mix of works of the law with grace, they face a stricter judgement if they continue.

James 3:1
let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment.

Note the example of error teaching that is used in James 3:8-11
But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless (love) our God and Father, and with it we curse (judge/condemn under the law) men, who have been made in the similitude of God.
Out of the same mouth proceed
blessing (love/grace) and cursing (judgement/condemnation under the law). My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
Does a spring send forth fresh water
(love/grace) and bitter (judgement/condemnation under the law)
from the same opening?

Rom 11:6
if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

Satan has always tried to deceive mankind into self-righteousness by dead works of the law, right from the very beginning. And he's still doing it today. Hence why God gives so many warnings in scripture against mixing works and grace.
2Cor 11:3
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Beware the leaven
/doctrine of the legalists (Matt 16:12), as a little leaven leavens the whole lump (Gal 5:9).

No one who is in the grace of Yahweh by the Blood of His Lamb is a legalist. Yeshua teaches us by His example where the law dictates punishement and death, mercy replaces it. Thus, if a person sins a sin, that is breaks a law of Yahweh, which by the law is worthy of death according to the law, that person will receive mercy. I do not believe Yeshua is in danger of judgment for His Example.

The law is good, and it is holy. Yeshua teaches how it is to be observed. On the Seventh Day if something good and needful must be done, it is good to do it. This does not mean to head in to a hedonistic Sabbath. Hedonism is unacceptable any time.

If one does not teach the law with grace, I guarantee you, he is in trouble, and he does not know Salvation in Yeshua.

Read and learn the Torah, the prophets, the writings, and the New Testament, they are the Word, and the Word is God.

Romans 13:10
Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Galatians 5:16-26
[SUP]16 [/SUP]But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. [SUP]18 [/SUP]But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, [SUP]20 [/SUP]idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, [SUP]21 [/SUP]envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. [SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [SUP]23 [/SUP]gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.[SUP]25 [/SUP]If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

Hebrews 7:18-22
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness[SUP]19 [/SUP](for the Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. [SUP]20 [/SUP]And inasmuch as it was not without an oath [SUP]21 [/SUP](for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him,
“The Lord has sworn
And will not change His mind,
‘You are a priest forever’”);

[SUP]22 [/SUP]so much the more also Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

1 Corinthians 13:4-13
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, [SUP]5 [/SUP]does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, [SUP]6 [/SUP]does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part and we prophesy in part; [SUP]10 [/SUP]but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. [SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

2 Peter 1:5-11
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Now for this very reason also, applying all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence, and in your moral excellence, knowledge, [SUP]6 [/SUP]and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, perseverance, and in your perseverance, godliness, [SUP]7 [/SUP]and in your godliness, brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness, love. [SUP]8 [/SUP]For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you; for as long as you practice these things, you will never stumble; [SUP]11 [/SUP]for in this way the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly supplied to you.

1 Corinthians 13:2
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

This is my greatest concern - that I do not love with a Godly Love. I (not to boast) know quite a few scriptures, but my love is weak.
