I like both but tend more toward tea. Sickeningly sweet tea at that. When I drink coffee I typically prefer it black and I'm not real picky as to the roast, bean origin, etc.

Shave it off, maybe get it made into a false beard that looks just like it does now so it will hold together, and mail it to her. If her communication drastically drops off then she was mostly about the beard. Better to know now than later, right?
