You might want to reread this. God was talking directly to Abram and all families were blessed through him, because through him came Jesus. If you really read Genesis, and more specifically God's dialogue with Abraham, he was always very direct. When he was talking about Abraham, he pointed it at him and when he mentioned his descendants, he was also specific with that, and this is seen all through Genesis 12.

So after reading through this, are people in this thread looking at this as some type of religious war? I'm trying to understand how we are overlooking the Nation of Israel killing all of these innocent people? Does it make people "more christian" to support Israel? *shrugs*

And with the billions of dollars that our tax payers give that nation, you would think they would have better weapons that would actually hit the enemy instead of countless innocent people.

OH dear, that really is a faceplam post. I see you have fallen for all the Hamas lies and propaganda. I suppose you ignore the fact that Hamas uses human shields and that Hamas has killed plenty of its own population through hundreds of missiles and mortars failing short of Israel and landing in population areas of Gaza.

Actually, no. I believe that they both are bad. I'm also not naive enough to believe that propaganda only comes from one side. But again, I'm not one to turn a blind eye to wrong doing because I believe that it is somehow God's will.

Gee whiz peoples, when will people see with their eyes regardless of what the media says, it's the same thing every time: Hamas breaks the newest truce by bombing Israel, Israel retaliates by firing back, & the media has a heyday with only the pics of palestinian women & kids who were volunteer human shields to protect their brave armies. We all know those palestinians are on land given to Israel by God. It's theirs to take.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Egypt and decimated their airforce. It proved to be a brilliant maneuver and it likely saved the Jewish state and ended the war quickly.

LOL...so they are justified in your eye in taking a preemptive strike that they themselves felt the need to lie about, to justify their future actions? Go read a history book. The state of israel lied and said that Egypt attacked them and they retaliated. And you think that they won't do the same now? I will need you to actually read more about that. That whole "war" was fought for the state of israel's expansion, and not the preservation of a nation.

I guess you were OK with the USS Liberty too, huh? But again, because of some false believe that these people are who God speaks about in the Bible, we some how excuse their evil? If you believe that is how God would have us to operate, have fun. :D
