And now for the Daily Double. Who knows the origination of modern sodas, back before they were nothing but carbonated sugar water with bunch of chemicals mixed in?

Well if you want to drink loads of vinegar all day long then have at it. And where did I tell anyone to stop drinking coke? Coke also has sugar in it. Uh oh! I guess I am gonna be accused to telling people not to have anything with sugar in it now... :/

Actually it's spelled "Barq's". "Barq's has bite" actually references the flavor, not the caffeine. Most large name root beers (A&W, Mug, etc) have a smooth creamy flavor whereas Barq's has kind of a spicy bite.

Thanks for explaining its the carbonation that cleans the battery, but in my house coke is alot easier to come by that trying to find baking soda lol.

Uh oh. I guess this means I don't think people should use anything with baking soda now.........

I have bad coke and vinegar cravings ever so often, I must have some corrosion that needs cleaning

Are you saying that some people who think they've been drug free their whole life didn't know that they were secretly doing cocaine? O:
 
Plus back in the day, cocaine, heroine, opium, and a variety of other narcotics by today's knowledge, were used as medicine. It's not so much that people were deceived. It was a widely accepted as a medication. And like oncefallen had mentioned, it was taken out of the drink.

I have a close family member who has been through just about every treatment, surgery, and procedure under the sun for back pain multiple times, but still finds little to no relief.

At one point within the past 3 years, the doctors suggested a prescription for opium... to which we were all like, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Thankfully, we answered as a family with one unanimous and resounding NO, THANK YOU!!!

I was personally shocked out of my gourd that such a thing would even be recommended.
