Last night, around 4 AM, I was woken up by a knocking sound. It sounded like someone knocking on the front door, but with my fan on and being quite a bit aways from the front door, I thought maybe it was just in my dream and I "heard it" as I was waking up as if it was real life. It still made me lie still for a moment though. But then I heard it again, louder this time. This time, my eyes flew open, my heart pounded. I thought, "Shoot, I really need to get a baseball bat and keep it under my bed."
My roommate opened her bedroom door (her room is across from mine) and I sat up in bed. I thought she had heard it too and was going to go check it out. But then I didn't hear her check on it, and the knocking had stopped, and that's when I realized...
It was the stupid cats. She keeps her bedroom door closed at night, and my giant cat had been pawing under the door and pulling it, so it sounded like knocking. I tell you, I'm going to get murdered in my sleep or have the house get robbed without a care because I'm going to hear something and think, "Ugh, stupid cats" and take no action.
