Dear Diary,

We're still single...
Lol, the way things seem to go in my life... I'll bet even diary is no longer single (but I still am.) It probably ran off with an encyclopedia, ditching me for a script of happily ever after! :D

Anybody have any bobby pins? Hair gel? VO5? First we take the electric shaver and start at the top and go down. Would you like this cut into a pattern or shaved off clean?
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

Mutual reasons- just grown apart (this was in HS); the next reason was that he 'fell out of love'; the other was because I had cheated (yup) -then 7 year break from dating- last one was because of too much dysfunction, I was being treated badly & we weren't a good match.

he and i dated for almost 5 years and talked about getting married. but he was never good at keeping a budget. so he told me he felt bad for making me wait and said we should break up.

we met in college but after graduating, it became a long distance relationship, which probably played a hand in us breaking up as well.

so most boyfriends cheat on their girlfriends? It looks like you are making a generalization about men based on your personal experiences. I guess it's easier to blame a whole population rather than look inward and explore why you attract such men.

I guess by the same logic you are saying that most women treat their boyfriends like crap?

Blue, since my divorce from a very domineering narcissist, the handful of women I have dated have been sexually aggressive, wanting things that are better reserved for marriage. It never crossed my mind to say that most women, or even just most women in the U.S. are sexually aggressive (and of course, I am referring to the body of believers). Instead of judging half the population, I've looked at why I attract certain women. It just seems healthier and more realistic.

No. Sorry. You don't get to bash American men because of your bad decisions.

catherder, I know from personal experience that the women they went on to after me treated them like crap because I personally know many of the women that they went to!!

You notice I said "most". Not all, but most. I'm not blaming the man population and if you would read back to some of my previous posts, I fully explain how I attracted these types to me.

Please stop trying to put words in my mouth that I have not said. I NEVER said that most women treat their men like crap. I SAID the ones i know PERSONALLY did!!

Stop assuming you know the thoughts of other people. I do agree with you though, some women can be rather aggressive. I know several of those types also.

I HAVE examined myself to see why I attracted those types. Men seem to be drawn to naive, innocent, trusting women. However, I've been single for over two decades. Problem solved!! :)

I am on a sloppy side.
My ex husband was my first boyfriend and i am the one who left.
before him, I was interested in my teen to one guy who never wanted to do anything with me because I was too good for im. I was a virgin and he freaked out… I really loved him. after that I stayed single until I felt i had finally meet a christian guy who will want to build together…
so now I don't know…met a guy (D) who wants to try things out and wants me to date him so I get my confidence back…I have no idea what that means…I have never dated before…he is a cristian and he is confusing me. I am resisting him because I feel like I am totally clueless…I have two kids now and can't be playing mind games... i feel guys approach me because they think i need them or something... so i tend to keep myself to myself…
still don't want to do anything with D. does it mean I have dumped him? :)

1.) Have I been dumped? Yes mam, I have. Four times actually. Once for each of my four stupid boyfriends. LOL.

2.) What was the main reason? To put it simply, they were (and still are) sex maniacs. They love sex from anyone they can get it from. It was'nt really a shock, because most bf's cheat on their gf's anyway!!

Ever since then, I have been single, and I love it. :) The way I look at it is, they lost the best thing they ever had in me when they cheated. They all went on to other gf's who treated them like crap. Lesson learned on my part, never to be repeated again. I've had my fill of men for a lifetime. :)

still, it seems an over generalization. Are there statistics to back this up? Are the numbers of girlfriends who cheat comparable? Is this data among Christians only or the full population? Or is it only from experience? In the same sentence you mentioned this "statistic," you said it "wasn't a shock," which, to me, suggests very low expectations in a relationship.
Please stop trying to put words in my mouth that I have not said. I NEVER said that most women treat their men like crap. I SAID the ones i know PERSONALLY did!!
I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. I was trying to point out that making the blanket statement about men...even using the word "most" is LIKE saying that most women treat their men like crap, based solely on the small sample of women you mentioned here (the ones who were with your exes). I was pointing out what I saw to be a flaw in your logic, not saying you were making that statement.
Stop assuming you know the thoughts of other people.
I'm not. Hopefully the above explains that I was offering comparison, not saying you said or thought that.
I do agree with you though, some women can be rather aggressive. I know several of those types also.
Yes. And I brought that up to show that despite my negative experiences, I'm not going to paint women with the broad brush and say that "most" are like this.
I HAVE examined myself to see why I attracted those types. Men seem to be drawn to naive, innocent, trusting women. However, I've been single for over two decades. Problem solved!! :)
Well, I hope that's one solution to the problem. :p

Wow! I don't get guys who freak out if they get to have a blessing from above. How ungrateful that can be? What was he thinking? Guy D could be the one. Mind games? Dont think of it that way. Your brain is there to be used. Try to make him communicate. And pray to God to reveal this man to you.

The purposes of man's heart are deep waters but a man or a woman of understanding draws them out. God bless...

How to avoid being dumped

Genesis 24:14-16King James Version (KJV)

14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.

“Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His lovingkindness and His truth toward my master; as for me, the Lord has guided me in the way to the house of my master’s brothers” (Gen. 24:27)

Why do husbands and wives in our day sometimes keep things from each other? What can be done to remedy the situation?

Really deep stuff here Tinkerbell…I will give it a good thought..

Yes he freaked out telling me I was too good for him and that he wasn't a good guy…I guess I was lucky!!

anyway D is hurt. I keep rejecting him, evaluating everything he says and lately he told me that I should fight my demons the right way…i am having a hard time believing a guy can be genuine with me…I am praying that God help me not to make the biggest mistake of my life…he is trying, he accepts my apologies….but I keep pushing him away or running away...
I really need to stop this, I think...

That's really a lot more than I care to recount... I've been in about 15 relationships thus far in my life, and about 4 were ended by me, while the others ended by them.

The worst was one I've already shared on here a few times, where I found out she'd been 'cheating' on me only after we broke up. The break up line was something like, "Hey, I'm sorry, but I just found someone who looks better...". Great self-esteem booster, right?

The hardest one was my longest. We thought we were going to get married, but I had to give her up. God confronted me about the whole thing, and I honestly believe it was the hardest and most painful I've ever had to do (with a few possible competitors).

Anyway, that's enough for now.

I ended it because everything he said he was contradicted what I actually noticed, how he behaved and what he said... emotional threats like " I need you" scare me.... he also began to call me names lol... think if I was a weak woman who didn't know Christ, I would have most probably believed what he called me... But in saying this, I am glad that I learned earlier than later.... a lot of people tend to learn after marriage...

Quote from a book I read: "He was a real neat freak and I'm not. You know the kind, "A place for everything and everything in its place" and I swore if I heard that phrase one more time I'd kill him. So to avoid a long prison sentence I decided to break up with him."
