BORN AGAIN - How intimate is your relationship with Jesus Christ as LORD?

I have to admit to being surprised at the animosity that exists here on a Christian site - generally. We are brothers and sisters of the Lord and as Jason says we are called to love one another.

Wrong we are backbiters and haters, we fuss with one another and hate each other, if you have a statement then I hate it and will shoe biblical proof why I hate it. Because it's not my statement. so you believe in the fallacy of OSAS and so you you believe that a saint can lose salvation. I believe in tongues and you believe it is of Satan. I say that it faith in the work of the cross and you say it is by law. IDK, I think I will not come back here anymore, I'm thinking OSAS why not take my life

I would like this discussion to focus on just HOW REAL BORN AGAIN, really is.

Also Please describe how intimate your personal relationship with Jesus Christ as your LORD,
(which means MASTER), really is.

The reason I started this Thread, is over the past several years, I have noticed that there is an ever increasing number of people who claim to be Christian, who cannot explain Born Again, because it remains a mystery to them.

Its kinda ironic that you say its a mystery to some. 1Cor.15 says behold i show you a mystery

The Resurrection or rapture that is the hope for those that endure.

"My born again Christian Life began, the hard way. I had to hit BOTTOM Face first before I learned to look up. On Christmas Eve 1977, my wife of only six months, Demanded a divorce; because "You are never going to earn enough money to buy me what I want in life." I had a good job, working the night shift at the Post Office, so her excuse hit me HARD. The following week I spiraled into deep depression and attempted suicide three times.

The first two times I had a pistol against my head with the trigger half pulled, when a TERROR overwhelmed me, NOT fear of dying, because that is exactly what I wanted to do; specifically I wanted to cease to exist. But this was a TERROR that was way beyond what man holding a knife to my throat could ever cause. And it was that TERROR of KNOWING that HELL was for real and forever, and I was about to walk in, that caused me to drop that pistol both times. The third time I got as drunk as I could get without passing out, and went out to arrange a fatal motorcycle accident for myself. That afternoon I saw them pouring lots of gravel on a previously non-graveled dirt road. I knew the most dangerous thing to ride a bike on was loose gravel. I am extremely ashamed of what happened next, and frequently just leave this part out of my testimony.

Even though I knew the Bible said, "Thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy God", I actually taunted HIM. As I approached that mile of loose gravel with NO HELMET on; I looked up at the sky and taunted HIM, "If you want me, you can take my life anywhere that you want on this mile! I don't want to live to see another day!" I leaned out over the handle bars, making sure the throttle was wide open, because I wanted to hit head first at full speed when I lost control. The whole mile the bike never even wobbled a bit, it ran as smooth as if I was on pavement. I hit the end of that mile, and came out on the black top road. Backing my throttle off, I slowly went home and and sat up the rest of the night trying to figure out what happened.

After I had sobered up, I was walking into my bedroom about 5:00 AM, when it hit me. I cannot ride a bike like that even sober. A wave of GUILT washed over me, dropping me to my knees. Guilt for not only attempting suicide, but also for my utterly sinful lifestyle. I found myself on my knees weeping uncontrollably, and crying out to the Lord my GOD: "Lord forgive me! If you have a purpose for my life, then you are going to have to come into my heart and run my life, because I can't do it! I am making a total mess of it!" I knew in my heart that I was surrendering total control to Jesus Christ forever, as my Lord and MASTER.

I continued sobbing and crying uncontrollably for at least another half hour or so, as I was now laying face down on the floor. Early during that half hour of time I had a dream or vision that changed everything in me. I was kneeling at the foot of the cross looking up at HIM sobbing continuous tears, knowing that my sins put HIM there. It was like each sin added another one pound weight on Him, pulling down on those nails in HIS HANDS. That dream or vision was unbelievably VIVID. As I looked up begging HIM to forgive me, I saw blood fall from both of his wrists, and it landed on both of my forearms. I could even feel the warmth of that blood. I instantly knew that it was that blood that had forgiven me, all of my sins.

YES that same night, the HOLY SPIRIT came into my heart, and HE certainly poured LOVE for GOD into my heart. IT WAS NEVER REALLY THERE BEFORE, even though I was a church goer all of my life. I soon discovered an intense HUNGER to hear the word of GOD taught, and thankfully one night at work I got extremely bored with my COUNTRY music station on my headset radio, and changed the station. I discovered a program by Dr. John MacArthur called "GRACE TO YOU", and I could not get enough of that style of Bible Teaching. I also discovered that the more of that good sound Bible Teaching that I took in, the MORE IT CHANGED ME FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

HOW REAL and INTIMATE is my personal relationship with Jesus Christ as LORD and MASTER? I never could have imagined anything this REAL and Intimate, and my heart bubbles over with Joy, just thinking about it. I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that HE is in me and that I am in him. I LOVE HIM more that anyone or anything on this earth. And our conversations through my thoughts come from the heart, and are frequently several times a day. PLUS He has blessed me with a wife that Loves HIM more than me! We have been married 35 years now, and Jesus Christ always come first and our spouse always comes second. Yes it is hard to find the suitable words to describe the intense relationship between me and my LORD, Jesus Christ. But Soon and Very Soon, we are going to see our KING!"


I can relate with you on this so much brother. I have my testimony posted in the correct section for more details. It was over loss, but not of a girl. I to had to want death so very bad before He saved me. The only thing that kept me from cutting my wrist was my sons, I was in bad shape for sure. But He still saved me, no matter how angry I was, or anything else. It seems once I realized I could no longer handle it all on my own, and had completely killed any pride I had in myself and I came to the realization that I could no longer handle it on my own at all. That's when the miracle happened and He picked my dead self up off the floor. That's how intimate my relationship is with Him. He's my Savior, my redeemer, my one way. He is all, and though this feeble person can never hope to bring even a glimpse of the glory He deserves, I will still try the rest of my life here. That's how intimate. Bless you brother for sharing His glory in your life. I can relate.

The Lord revealed himself to me (spiritually) when I was twenty years old. I was reading the bible with the intention of disproving the existence of God (fool that I am), and The Lord spoke to me and asked me "do you believe in me?" And I thought about what I had been reading and suddenly realized it was all true, and I responded "Yes, Lord, I believe in you.". And at that moment the Holy Spirit entered my being, it is indescribable how He filled me with joy, peace and love. The Lord has been with me ever since that day and for thirty-five years now he has never left me or forsaken me.

I wish I could say I have walked perfectly with Him since that day but I can not, I have failed my Lord many times, and at times found myself far away from Him. But every time I turn back to Him, I find that He is right there still with me never failing me, always encouraging me, always loving me.

Truly, our God is an awesome God, his patience and long-suffering is beyond my comprehension.

I pray that all would know the love of Jesus Christ, and receive Him as Lord and Savior.

The Bible and this present day world is filled with figures of speech (or metaphorical language). Surely, you know that. So my attempt to explain that would be a useless excercise. Hey, look. I get it. You don't like me. That is what this is really about. But if you repented of your sins and accepted Jesus Christ for real and seek to truly love Him and to love all other people (As He commands us to do; Thereby proving He lives within you), then what you are saying right now should not exist whatsoever. I am talking about your words of hate towards another believer (And not a correction on doctrine or a truth within the Scriptures). I am talking about love. For Jesus says it is what comes out of a man that defiles him. Meaning a person's words can defile a person. For we are to do good towards our enemies and we are to pray for them. We are not to render evil for evil. We are comanded to love, my friend. Do you want a love like that in your life? A love whereby you only want to love all other people? Well, you can have that kind of love. His name is Jesus Christ and He loves you. I am not talking about the version of Jesus that you have been taught (That would allow you to speak in the manner that you do). No, no. Most certainly not. I am talking about the real living Word, my friend. Jesus Christ (Who is God Almighty in the flesh) loves you very much and wants for you to spread that love onto all other people; And it begins by being humble before Him (See Luke 18:9-14).

Now this is your problem....You judge my motive, my salvation, my understanding of Jesus because I questioned your use of WHEREVER......NOW FOR ALL WHO ARE READING THIS......I have no animosity toward you and I have no pre-judged opinion of you (as you do towards me) because I question your use of words that make what you say incorrect.....The bolded above are judgments made that you have no ability to judge and or say biblically which is more of an attack than me questioning a word that you used to make a point about Jesus that was simply not true...

Now one thing I know for sure is that any metaphorical use of words in the bible were inspired and DID NOT make what was said a partial truth or false......SO...........LIKE I said...RE-READ what I originally wrote and understand that ONE word that is false TAINTS the whole as SATAN added ONE word in the garden and changed the truth into a LIE......! Nicodemus asks, how can a man be born when he is old? Job asks, If a man die, shall he live again? After the heavens be no more, says Job. Then will his "change" come

2PET.3 [10] But THE DAY OF THE LORD WILL COME as a thief in the night; in the which THE HEAVENS SHALL PASS away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up

Job says his "change" will come when the heavens be no more. Above scripture tells us the heavens be no more at the coming of the Day of the Lord.

1COR.15 [51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED,[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.[53] FOR THIS CORRUPTIBLE MUST PUT ON INCORRUPTION, and this mortal must put on immortality.

I know this will upset the rapturist but "we shall all be changed" at the coming of the Day of the Lord as the heavens pass away {If you believe Job}. At this time we are born again (corruptible puts on incorruption) and will be gathered {meet the Lord in the air} and then its off to the kingdom. The 1000yr period of rest.

Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom

Jesus tells Nic you must be born again to enter the kingdom. Verse 6 explains that which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the spirit is spirit.

[43] It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

1Cor.15 is talking about the resurrection. Verse 42 states that rather clearly. In verse 50 you see the same thing Jesus told Nic. You cannot inherit the kingdom of God....still speaking of the resurrection. Just read John 3{6} and 1Cor.15{44}. Just read John3{6} and 1Cor.15{49}. If you believe these scriptures to be true there can be no doubt about the “born again” event.

Ya see where Jesus speaks of the wind just after He says ye must be born again

MATTHEW 24 [29]IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. [31] And he shall send his angels with A GREAT SOUND OF A TRUMPET, and THEY SHALL GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the FOUR WINDS, from one end of heaven to the other.

And here the elect are gathered from the 4 winds. Also a great trumpet. The last one?


EZEK.37 [9] Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the FOUR WINDS, O breath, and BREATHE UPON THESE SLAIN, THAT THEY MAY LIVE.[10] So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, AN EXCEEDING GREAT ARMY.[11] Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.[12] Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and BRING YOU INTO THE LAND OF ISRAEL.[13] And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,[14] And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

In Ezek.37 you also find the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] resurrection {1Cor.15}. You also find the gathering of His people as He brings them to Israel for the 1000yr period of rest. Here again you find the 4 winds. Not definate proof that the “ye must be born again” that Jesus spoke of is talking about when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye but......

Being "born again" happens when we are all changed in the twinkling of an eye. Thats when our corruptible puts on the incorruptible. This only makes sense because we are givin new bodies before entering the kingdom

PHIL.3 [20] For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:[21] Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Now this is your problem....You judge my motive, my salvation, my understanding of Jesus because I questioned your use of WHEREVER......NOW FOR ALL WHO ARE READING THIS......I have no animosity toward you and I have no pre-judged opinion of you (as you do towards me) because I question your use of words that make what you say incorrect.....The bolded above are judgments made that you have no ability to judge and or say biblically which is more of an attack than me questioning a word that you used to make a point about Jesus that was simply not true...

Now one thing I know for sure is that any metaphorical use of words in the bible were inspired and DID NOT make what was said a partial truth or false......SO...........LIKE I said...RE-READ what I originally wrote and understand that ONE word that is false TAINTS the whole as SATAN added ONE word in the garden and changed the truth into a LIE......! AND while I am at it...Jesus, Paul and the prophets of old used sarcasm to make points so.....maybe just maybe I was doing the same and it actually had nothing at all to do with the bolded judgments above in your reply as an honest man would have said...you know he is right...my word was poorly chosen and it did change what I said into a partial truth because at the end of the day....It was not EVERYWHERE you went that day, but rather some of the places you went that day.....

For even Paul said to the Corinthians that they were to prove whether or not Christ was in them or not. How is what you did proof that Christ is in you? Do you honestly expect me to believe you were being loving with your words to me in your post?

Anyways, if you truly loved me and or cared for me: And yet you had a problem with the way I communicated, then you would have sent me a private message and told me kind words first before trying to make it look like I am a criminal for using slang (Which is a part of the English language). For have you ever used slang before? Did somebody ever misunderstand you when you used slang before? See, that's what I am talking about. You are creating an inquisition. So again, I will ask you. Is what you posted to me loving and good and ediftying to the body of Christ? Please explain that to me in light of 1 Corinthians 13.

Judge not lest ye be judged yourself. You judged me to begin with by saying that what I had said was a lie (Which is not true). It's called slang.

1 John 3:14-15
