I live in a multi-family apartment building, in a rather sizable efficiency apartment. I love my apartment for the most part except that I have a tub instead of a shower, and my mobility issues makes it hard to get in and out. A laundromat is across the road, so I don't have to go far to do my laundry. Yay..lol. :) I live in the capital city of Vermont, and I'm about a 5-minute walk away from the statehouse.

This is what I hope my "mansion" in heaven will be: a little cottage beside a big lake, with lots of ducks, geese, and loons swimming around and me throwing them an endless supply of bread. Lots of cats and dogs running around, and a little bench beside the lake so I can sit all day if I want to.
:eek:This is my dream home, and hopefully, someday it will be my heavenly home as well!! :)

I live in one end of a comfy little triplex. Over the years, I'm more and more tempted to keep "sizing down" to smaller places, such as a studio apartment, but alas, I have some things I don't want to give up and couldn't cram into one room (my fold-out couch, for example, as I've had friends who have needed a place to crash; my sewing machine; and my elliptical trainer, aka, "the hamster wheel", which is my only source of exercise on days when I don't leave the house. Maybe I really AM a hamster...)

My dream is to one day have a small "home base" to always come back to but be able to travel, visit, and stay with people around the world--kind of a "mobile home", if you will. I have a best friend back in my hometown who pretty much lets me take over their entire basement when I come to visit. :)

I have written about this before, but I am adopted and was originally found in a cardboard box in front of a theater.

I have often said, I hope that when I get to heaven someday, God will have that little box waiting for me. I have always wanted to see it. Granted, it may need to be a little bigger now that I'm grown up and not just a few days old, but it was my "first home", and it seems fitting that it would be my final one as well, hopefully near a moving body of water and trees that change color in the fall (if heaven has seasons.) :)

House? Apartment? Condo? Parent's House? Renting a room in a rented house? Dorm? A van down by the river?
Where have you thought about living in the future? Is that dependant on relationships status?
I currently live in my parent's house. Honestly, I'd move out of state and live in a really nice house in the country where it's peaceful. Something with tons of yard space that I can work with, a great kitchen, and a nice bathroom, a workout area, big guest area, big basement for entertaining and holding a small theater. It might be good if I married first, unless I want to hire someone to mow the lawn for me (I'm allergic to grass. Dun dun dun).

It's either that, or a cabin. I love the warmth they provide inside. Not talking about the warmth of the house but the feeling it gives.

Currently, at home with parents. I'm an only child and they've got plenty of space, and nobody asks me to turn down the music. Like quite literally. I can drive my equipment with a real 1KW RMS and no one seems to mind (sometimes I get asked to furnish it for later enjoyment lol).

So, yeah, no compelling reason to live anywhere else for the time being, and frankly my mom's health isn't always the best, so I'm glad to be around for her.

Possibly some day I might want to do some sort of an in laws suite type of deal, either at a place of my own or here. Either way my parents like the idea a lot. It's more up to my future wife, but truth be told I like the idea myself. If I furnished grand children I know it would give my mom more time with us (and like, built in child care). Time will tell. I am also kind of partial to this house as I've already got all my redundant OM3 fiber links installed between swiches and our ISP delivers a nice pipe via GPON. No, I don't need fiber in the walls, but I wanted it and I know where all the good spots are to fish wires in this house (actually who am I kidding, my dad and I installed conduit for the fiber... there is no fishing required).

Dream house though?

Look at that. It's so majestic!

I want to own two of those, and a house on site. Those are ESBWR's. That would be so freaking awesome, though I'm not sure how I'd manage it, those spaces aren't ever zoned residential. That and I don't think I'll ever have about 15 billion dollars (10 for the plant, 2 for overages, 1 for startup and 2 to live on). The revenues from the energy generated could go towards some really good causes too.

If I ever made that happen though, I'd also have a leased line of at least 1 GBPS throughput from at least a tier 2 provider (tier 1 would be even better though), and a redundant link of at least 1 GBPS from a tier 2.

After living on my own for a few years, I returned to take care of my parents. Didn't plan on spending three years here, but they still need my help.

Someone who likes Calvin and Hobbes can't be all bad, even if he lives in that state. :D

I live in house, 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, we have a toilet in the basement. A lot of older homes around here do. We live in the city, it's not the downtown part of the city, but it's the city suburbs, I guess you'd call it. We have an average city sized back yard, a driveway, a fence.

Someday I'd like to move to a countryish area. Not to far from civilization but enough that I can't hear my neighbor sneeze. I would also like free range chickens, that I'd put in a coop at night for safety. I'd also like a couple of goats, goats are funny that's why I want them. Oh a couple of cute pigs would be nice too. My Daughter would like a horse. I would take a horse if it needed a home, but I really don't want one. Their poop is huge, I don't want to clean that up.

Used to live in a 4 bedroom house, 1,800 sq ft and now a 3 bedroom townhouse with only 985 sq ft due to circumstances caused by somebody else. I have a couple of floor plans picked out, if ever I had the money to have a house built. Plenty of room for everybody, including a full bath and walk in closet for each person. And a HUGE kitchen because I love cooking for them. We don't always get what we dream about but I'm ready if I did get the opportunity!

I love climbing trees and being around a forest-y scenery. So naturally, I look at tree houses and swoon!

I am sorely tempted to put this in my sig as a direct quote from Fenner.
If you can find a quote about fudge, then I'd say you'll have it made with that sig.

Or this. If you can work this in there, you're even more set.

Parents house? What kind of loser would still live in their parents house???

Anyways, I live in the basement of a house that belongs to two people who happened to be in the same hospital room that I was dropped off at by a stork right after I was born. Those same two people have been stalking me for 40 years. I'm tempted to phone the police and get a restraining order against them, but the rent is really good!!!
