You are dividing verses 23 through 25 from verses 26 and 27. That's why I insinuated on another post that your understanding is severely lacking. I feel sorry for that. I hope some day that you attain wisdom in the truth.
The law of retaliation Jesus quoted is Ex 21:23-25.

See it again in Dt 19:21.

The text speaks for itself.

For I am holier than thou,

John 8:41-42 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Exodus 21:20-27
20 And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished .
21 Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished : for he is his money.
22 If men strive , and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished , according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.
23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
26 And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish ; he shall let him go free for his eye's sake.
27 And if he smite out his manservant's tooth, or his maidservant's tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth's sake.

This above scripture is setting a precedence of equity to all.

Deuteronomy 19:9-13
9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. 11 But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die , and fleeth into one of these cities:
12 Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die .
13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

And yes, by all means the text speaks for itself. Like I said, I feel sorry for you that you cannot get it.

I hope you are happy that you believe that.

Because Jesus came from God, why would anyone say what He told Moses is now void and or abolished?
Matthew 7:20-23
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them , I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Anyone who reads the Word, especially the first chapter of John, knows the Word is Jesus Christ. This is without going into Isaiah 9:6..........

This is true, yet it must be repeated again and again for those who do not know, and for those who have not listened. God bless all who are in the Body of Jesus Christ, amen.

Previously addressed, above.
You have not addressed why you didn't quote the entire meaning of the scriptures and why you have discriminately chosen only 4 verses from this post
