I am not getting where you are coming from as I am picking up bad vibes from your posts.

Well, if I hated the Homosexuals, I will be trying my best to get rid of them from my sight by proclaiming them as a unforgivable sin; but if I doesn't do the same for Liars, then that makes me a Liar or a family or friend of a Liar.

Matthew 17:26 “From others,” Peter answered. “Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him.

We only exempt those that we love and in this case, ourselves.

I have not read the entire thread.......However........it would have been nice if the article of her quotes were attached to see what she actually said. I am not defending her and I am not judging her for her comments. I don't know why Christians seem to attack the sin of homosexuality with a vengeance as a sin deserving more judgment than other sins as if anyone breaks the law it is all broken.

Jesus said of the woman brought to Him that was caught in adultery He who is without sin cast the first stone. P.S. Where was the man? He should have been stoned too.... Well all I got to say is there must be a lot of sinless people on this thread as stones seem to be flying freely.... Me I won't be throwing any stones cause I am a sinner...forgiven but a sinner none the less.

Just would like everyone to think about how they post sometimes and the way it comes across. Gay people need to learn about God too and they should be shown a God of love who can help them change and a God they would want to get to know and follow. We don't display that love very well......Just think about it.....

I agree with you. I feel like throwing a stone at him but I will wait until someone else throws the first stone so I do not appear to be a hypocrite.

If you had read the entire thread you would see that I did post what Dolly Parton said. You would also see I pointedly said I am not a perfect Christian, the Bible says we lie if we say we have no sin in us.Please reread my comments before judging my intent.Thank you.

Are you speaking of throwing a stone at me?

Are you speaking of throwing a stone at me?

Absolutely not, I am not judging anyone in this situation despite my playfulness. JesusLives was actually coming to your defense also. Neither one of us is a perfect Christian and we are not about to throw stones at anyone.

Ok cause I was getting ready to duck.lol I think people have either misread, not read,or dont understand my intent with this post. I think Ive made it quite plain so I guess they aren't reading it but just responding to the last post.

Has anyone here said they hated a homosexual person? No!

You and dearly 'biscuit' doubt, because both of you are not the 'practitioners' of the New Covenant of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and the chosen Apostles

And you just judged both of us !!! The Bible states not to judge the person but the action. I don't have to judge gays & their lifestyles because God already did. Both Father & Son are God and there is no disagreement about homosexual activity with the Holy Trinity.

I don't assume anyone to be gay unless I see the practiced behavior.

Question: "What does the New Testament say about homosexuality?"

Answer:
The Bible is consistent through both Old and New Testaments in confirming that homosexuality is sin (Genesis 19:1–13; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Romans 1:26–27; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Jude 1:7). In this matter, the New Testament reinforces what the Old Testament had declared since the Law was given to Moses (Leviticus 20:13). The difference between the Old and New Testaments is that the New Testament offers hope and restoration to those caught up in the sin of homosexuality through the redeeming power of Jesus. It is the same hope that is offered to anyone who chooses to accept it (John 1:12; 3:16–18).

God’s standards of holiness did not change with the coming of Jesus, because God does not change (Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8). The New Testament is a continuing revelation of God’s interaction with humanity. God hated idolatry in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy 5:8), and He still hates it in the New (1 John 5:21). What was immoral in the Old Testament is still immoral in the New.

The New Testament says that homosexuality is a “shameful lust” (Romans 1:26), a “shameful act,” an abandonment of “natural relations” (Romans 1:27), a “wrongdoing” (1 Corinthians 6:9), and “sexual immorality and perversion” (Jude 1:7). Homosexuality carries a “due penalty” (Romans 1:27), “is contrary to the sound doctrine” (1 Timothy 1:10), and is listed among the sins that bar people from the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9). Despite the attempts of some to downplay these verses, the Bible could not be clearer that homosexuality is a sin against God.

Homosexuality is not the cause of a society’s decline, but it is a symptom of it; it is the result of people making themselves the final authorities. Romans 1 gives the natural digression of a society that has chosen idolatry and sinful pleasure instead of obedience to God. The downward spiral begins with denying that God has absolute authority over His creation (Romans 1:21–23).

The result of a society’s rejection of God’s rule in their lives is that God gives “them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Romans 1:24–25). Verses 26 and 27 say, “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.” The phrase “God gave them over” means that when we insist on shaking our fists at God, He finally lets us have the perversion we demand. And that is a judgment in itself. Homosexual behavior is the result of ignoring God and trying to create our own truth. When we defy God’s clear instruction, we reap the “due penalty” of our disobedience (2 Thessalonians 1:8–9; Revelation 21:8).

The good news is that homosexuality is not the unpardonable sin. It is forgivable just like greed, theft, and murder are forgivable when we repent and turn to Jesus (Acts 2:38). He provides us with new identities (1 Peter 1:14; Colossians 2:13). Second Corinthians 5:17 says that “if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” Those “old” things include former sins that once held us captive. Whereas we were once defined by our sin, being born again (John 3:3) means we are now defined by Jesus and His righteousness (Colossians 3:3). A thief no longer has to define himself as a thief. He is cleansed from his former ways and made new in Christ. A murderer—such as Saul before he became the apostle Paul—is forgiven and conformed to the image of Christ (Galatians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 15:9; Romans 8:29). And someone trapped in homosexuality can be set free to walk in purity when he or she agrees with God about sin and trusts His power to forgive and restore.

As has been noted, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 includes homosexuals in a list of those who will not have a part in God’s kingdom. But verse 11 goes on to say, “Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” The truth is that some of the saints in the Corinthian church were former homosexuals. God’s kingdom is populated by sinners. No one comes to God on personal merit. We all come the same way: throughrepentance, renouncing the sin for which Jesus died, and accepting the righteousness of Christ in its place (2 Corinthians 5:21).

The New Testament offers good news for everyone struggling with sexual identity. Jesus wants to replace our sinful lifestyles with His own righteousness so that we become more like Him.

Thanks biscuit for posting that.Well said and great point made.

Thanks ... please keep up the good work. I just find it hard to believe that some posters believe Jesus' views or the NT differ from God the Father and the OT. Both views are the same and I provided a strong link to disprove them rather than argue with them.

It just shows the large gap in knowledge regarding the Bible between Christians.

how about our own governments

they force churches to accept gays or lose there exempt status,

or recent pastor and wife threatened jail time and fines for not marrying gay couple,

or for not making a cake else where, or standing for there rights.

now they teach in young school kids theres no boys or girls but all penguins,

and is wrong for girl to ask to go to the ladies room not proper anymore.

our constiution and government is being striped and rewritten not for the good.

Yes prove all exactly my point.Gay viewpoints are being pushed and Christians forced to accept it.It is tearing apart marriage and the family as God intended and clearly stated in His Word as Biscuit has proven in his post. God hasn't changed and His words on this subject are abundantly clear. I feel that people are afraid to make a strong point because homosexuality is all around and very popular. No one wants to speak against it.So they would rather say that Christians who state what the Bible says are judging rather than speak up themselves and call it out as wrong.JMO

We all is not living accordingly with the way God has desired for us to be. And so God is going to let us to be our own judges, to decide on what to do with us for not living accordingly to what He desires (Will). So He will appoint someone that is not living accordingly to your will (Desires) to see what you have came up with for your punishment. And so if I were y'all, You better be careful on making judgment on others, because again, what method you use, that is the method He is going to use on those judges. And so if I were you all, I'll treat those in the way you want to be treated or judged.

Matthew 7:2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

2 Samuel 12:5 David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die! 6 He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”

7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.

Four times over= !. Son died at birth, 2. Tamar has gotten rape by her brother, 3. Another son has gotten killed by the other brother, 4. And his son has taken over his house, kingdom, and his wives and then he gotten kill.
All of this because David had taken over Uriah's household and wife.

But you know, through all these trials of David, God didn't had no pity at all as David said that he isn't going to have pity on the man that had killed the man for his ewe lamb. Jesus just came to protect you all from judgment, but if you doesn't listen, that just too bad; God's will must be done whether you like it or not..

And so, does anybody want to be judgmental, raise your hands?

Most of those enforcements by the government are unconstitutional but most entities are scared to challenge "Big Brother."

I knew all along that the law enforced on the nurse in Maine for possible Ebola was not enforceable & unconstitutional.

BTW, I have a strong legal background.

You are right I did plainly state had not read entire thread this was not directed at you in particular.

However, there have been several homosexual threads of late and seems as though lots of people jumping on this is the worst sin ban wagon... My point is that sin is sin and we will pay the same punishment no matter which sin we commit one is not worse than another.

My fear is that a gay possibly wanting to change their life would be put off by the hate sounding threads and not being shown that God is a God of love and not condemnation. If He were He would not have bothered to send Jesus to die for us He would have just zapped out Lucifer before the tree could have ever been put in the Garden of Eden and been done with any type of rebellion.

But God loves us all including Lucifer/satan and has given humans a chance for reconciliation. Just wanted to try and make people think a little that is all.

I do believe that the government shouldn't be forcing others to love others, it should be from there own or will.

Sorry I had someone call me anti Christ so I was a little jumpy.I know the type of people you are talking about but Im not one of those.I wouldn't stand outside a funeral with a sign saying "God hates f@#s" nor do I believe God hates homosexuals and have said so throughout this thread.I hope you better understand where I am coming from.

But God loves us all including Lucifer/satan

friendly correction:)

No, God does not love Satan and neither should we. God cannot love that which is evil & unholy, Satan embodies all of that.
