Have you ever actually read the Book you just most egregiously misrepresented?
Yeah, I glance at it now and then...

Actually, that comment of mine was unwarranted. My apologies.
Where does it say that in the Bible?
I'm not going to vote tomorrow but I'm an Aussie. Here voting is compulsory. If you don't vote you're fined and in extreme cases you receive some jail time.
I realize that this passage was for the children of Israel that had been taken into captivity in Babylon....However, are we not the spiritual children of Israel today and are we not in Babylon ie the world? So as the Blond sees it these instructions could also be ours and applied to voting as we are pilgrims and not permanent residents of this world.....I believe these verses could also apply to voting in order to keep the best peace and prosperity where we as Christians are living.... So I encourage you to Please Go and Cast Your Vote....Prayerfully.
The Republican Party platform is against abortion, gay marriage and big government. If you are a Christian those would be some things you'd probably be interested in knowing. If they dont keep to that platform vote them out the next time! IMO with ISIS on the move, the unsecured southern boarder and "free" health care that is a mess I'd say its time to get the other party a try and see what they come up with. This president is slow to make decisions and it has harmed the country. If you vote democrat you are voting for him and his policies.Personally I think everyone should vote.People have died to give us that right. If you have anymore questions let me know! I will help if I can.![]()
Then post 48 applies to you also. Are you serious?
I have never voted as there was never anybody that I could associate myself with.
Where does it say that in the Bible?
the GOP is also pro-war, and pro-pre-emptive war - for profit.
Then post 48 applies to you also.
Phill you quoted your own heart’s desire and not the Bible. The first time in the Bible we saw democracy Jesus died on a crucifix.
Give me scripture my friend or leave it as your opinion. Go and read the history of South Africa from 1994 and you will quickly see that there were no but I mean nobody that a Christian believer could associate themselves with. I will not make a cross for the sake of making a cross. Give me the candidate and I will vote for him/her but unfortunately on the one side you have a communist trained party with their own hidden agenda and on the other side you have the parties fighting over scraps.
Please show me the scripture where it justify me voting, I double dare you…
Hey! We have a communist trained party ruling over us as well! What a coincidence...![]()
The GOP is for war when it protects our country and its interests. That aside Dems are for abortion at any age,gay marriage in every state, govt handouts to people who refuse to work {no Im not against ppl getting help that dont abuse it} for legalization of marijuana just for starters. Is the GOP the party of God,no,wouldnt say that. Are they closer to what the Bible teaches and what God condemns? You bet your sweet behind.
Uh, Richard Nixon and Litton Industries were protecting our country and it's interests?
Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Heb 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
