fine, I'll admit it... though I lack a good DJ joke to go with the admission.
I like beets.

Once at a funeral, we were served a mysteriously southern dish of Hot Buttered Beets. It was pretty good, too.

i too like beets, but fresh and roasted. or juiced. : )

My parents grew beets in their garden, so I had never even heard of canned or pickled beets until I lived on my own...and I don't buy them because...fresh beets...yeah.

Too bad your on the other side of the country I'd invite you to come dine with tourist and I every now and then....I see most people are not dining alone in this picture though so maybe a single diner because it is the only place to eat around there....lol
all the booths would need only one seat, and there would be an extraordinary amount of seating up at the bar.
and the desert menu would have 85% Dark Choc ;)
I think we might be sitting on a million dollar idea here!! :D I don't think anyone's built a diner made for singles before.

NOT IT!
I once was sent to Vegas for work. Upon my return, I went to the owner of the company, who knows I am a Christian and that I am in recovery from...stuff, and I asked him, Thrice, never to send me to Vegas again.

For decor, though we can clean out my shed... I keep joking that there's enough license plates, hub caps, signs, and generally cool looking stuff in there that I'm about one side of beef and a pig away from opening a BBQ Joint.

I like Brussels Sprouts! One of my kids, however, would rather eat them than anything else...except Maybe desert...Maybe.

It's cold and rainy, and I was so tired that I forgot to pick up something for dinner on the way home tonight. And I don't want to swim back out, so I cleaned out the frig. :)

Leftover mac&cheese mixed with a little bit of diced ham, a couple of spoons of REAL bacon bits, a little onion, a few frozen peas, 5 minutes in the microwave......and called it dinner. It was actually very good. Might do it again sometime. On purpose.

So, what things have you thrown together for dinner? The stranger, the better. :)

One thing I invented years ago, was my version of an egg sandwich. It started with a toasted English muffin, with an egg fried in butter, done to the point where the yolk was "gelled" so it wouldn't run all over my hands when eating. I would lay a slice of velveeta cheese on it while hot, it would melt in a little. Then I put some Ortega hot sauce on it, and voila! Sounds weird, but very tasty.

Cheese really shouldn't be tortured in razor sharp machinery then bound in little sheets of plastic to suffocate.

Cheese is a living organism... that's inhumane.

Where's the love?
But are you REALLY sure that yellow stuff they wrap in little pieces of plastic is REALLY cheese? :p
