What of male circumcision? How does it apply to non-Jews, the Gentile believers? Your answer will deny your comment, or justify it, nothing in between.
Gentile believers are still circumcised.
Romans 2:29But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Your question brings to the forefront the difference between the letter and the spirit of God's law.
Unfortunately, many misinterpret it as the following...
The Law of God (assumed to be coined "The Letter")
Vs.
The Spirit of God
When in truth, the proper relationship is...
The Law Of God

Man will always misinterpret letters of any kind (whether intentionally or unintentionally): forum posts, document, books, etc...and this is the case for God's law. We read it and, depending on how we've received it, we'll will come to completely different understandings...just look at how many denominations there are based on interpretation of scripture. This is why the Holy Spirit is needed as interpreter.
Circumcision of the
heart has *always* been a part of God's law, with the circumcision of the
flesh being the *outward sign*...just like baptism is the outward sign of the death of the old man, while the actual death has to be on the inside of a believer as we're supposed to die daily to our flesh, renewing our mind in Christ.
Deuteronomy 30:6The LORD your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live.
Jeremiah 4:4Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, circumcise your hearts, you people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, or my wrath will flare up and burn like fire because of the evil you have done-- burn with no one to quench it.
