David had the opportunity to slay Saul, but he did not. Do you know why? David said "I will not lift my hand against the Lord's annointed." Just because I do not agree with a pastor I'm not going to trash them. I'm not talking about cults but there are preachers who while I do not agree with them doesn't mean God is not using them.
This all inclusive, everything can go as long as they claim to be from God is a dangerous attitude and not biblically sound. If someone claims they are anointed by God,
it does not mean they are anointed by God. Trashing them is one thing, and I agree we shouldn't do that. Exposing their error is entirely different and we are told to do so.
2 Peter 2
2 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
2 Timothy 4
4 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: [SUP]2 [/SUP]preach the word;
be ready in season and out of season;
reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching,
but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. [SUP]5 [/SUP]
As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
Matthew 7
[SUP]15 [/SUP]“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. [SUP]16 [/SUP]You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? [SUP]17 [/SUP]So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. [SUP]18 [/SUP]A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. [SUP]22 [/SUP]On that day many will say to me,
‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ [SUP]23 [/SUP]
And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’
The list goes on and on. How in the world does Jesus equate doing miracles and casting out demons in his name to
lawlessness? WHAT was he thinking?
