I'm going to the dental surgeon tomorrow to see about riding myself of this evil wisdom tooth. Prayers please...I've never had to have dental work before.

My Dad had extremely bad teeth (hereditary) and over a period of years spent an outrageous amount of money on root canals and crowns just to end up loosing the teeth anyway. For some having them all yanked and getting dentures is the cheaper route over the long term. I know I'm getting there quickly, just cant afford to save them or replace them.

Sooooo.... It is supposed to be the peak of winter here at this time of the year.

Guess what is the maximum temperature? 87F at mid-day
Guess what is the minimum temperature? 77F at 6 a.m.

Don't even ask about the humidity levels (it is at 74%). Would you believe that I am still wearing my summer clothes and the air-conditioner in my room is still set to cooling?

Meh. -.-

My dad is safe and sound after the most recent typhoon. He's on his way back to Manila, and then he'll be back here in a week! I haven't seen him since the start of October. It will be good to have him home. :)

after my brother's car wreck, he told me that he felt like it was a wake up call from God. He's gone through a lot this year, but he said "keep praying for me. I think it's working". He's been doubting his faith for a while, but I think it's starting to become more personal and real to him now. He still wants to marry the atheist girl, so we're all praying for her salvation. Side note: I witnessed a miracle. God silenced my mother and she actually let my brother pour out his heart honestly without interrupting him or getting angry and shutting him down and possibly getting violent. I'm not exaggerating, this is an act of God. My brother said some honest things that would normally enrage my mom, but she sat there very humbly and just listened. He actually told her that he thinks she's not a good mother, but the fact that *I* turned out "good, kind, and wise" anyway (his words) convinced him that God must be real and active in my life and He alone should get credit for that. I had no idea he was making these kinds of observations. Prayers for my brother would really be appreciated. I think he's going through a huge growing phase right now.

On a much lighter note, I totally nailed my percussion methods final today. :D

Somethings never change around here. I can come back after a 2 or 3 month absence and we still got those of us who are here at 3 am, like clockwork. lol

Trust me, it isn't as fun as it sounds. The sun is always shining and there is hardly a cloudy day!

Plus, we have to go to theme parks to play with artificial snow. Would you believe that I've never seen snow in my life? :(

Anyone else read this and see a cowboy type of figure riding off into the sunset atop a giant bucking molar? I wish I could draw; I'd give it to pipp for her new avatar. (I know you meant ridding but sometimes the typos are funnier)

Here let me fix that deprivation. The white stuff….. that's snow. I know where to find lots of it this time of year.

Or come visit me here. High today was only 18 C (I think that's about 64 F) and it's getting so cold at night that I miss central heating and love my fake down comforter I brought back with me from the US. It's the least humid time of year too, which isn't saying much, but should the sun come out again it could be downright pleasant.

In other news not very pleased with myself right now. Seems like my week has been interrupted away and I haven't gotten done the 2 or 3 things that I actually intended to get done. Also thinking about taking a CC break, but then I think I like all the peeps on CC and making them laugh, and then I think well maybe I should just think about it forever but not actually do anything. What was that word… Jalam or something like that means "I shall consider it for eternity" (and 5 points to anyone who gets the movie reference).

Well I think after being sick all weekend and recuperating half the week, I am finally hitting on all two cylinders again. Instead of just getting over the illness I think there was some physical damage, maybe cellular degradation that happened during this illness that had to be repaired.

But I'm back and ready to... well... eat chocolate! :D What, you thought I'd change?

Totally serious, I remove problems I don't throw money at them all my life. the 2K in cash I paid to have them all removed has saved me how much in office visits and other tooth stuff in the last 13 years?
