doesn't the vessel = the lamp everyone has a vessel and the oil the Spirit of God that dwells within, but not everyone has the Spirit, the other had no oil doesn't say thay had it and lost it

Mt 25:3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Oh, just leave it be. Can't you already tell? "Another one on the stupid meter." Let them believe what they want and let them blow their trumpet all they want. I wish there's a block function where you can block specific members posts. I know two people I would add to such a list.

Edit: oh wait, there is! I found it ^.^ I love this function! :D

Matthew 25
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Their lights couldn't have went out if it had not at one point been lit.

It's pretty obvious the scriptures refer why not to fly in the winter, Christ just spent the prior 16 verses telling you that satan would be here, hence 'satan's winter' You gonna show me the scripture that has the word 'rapture' in it? I think not. Why are you again are trying to side step Matt 24: verse 22
20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Luke 21: 29-31
29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
The whole chapter is about signs and events of tribulation leading up to summer.
The coming of the new summer

31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
The whole chapter is about signs and events of tribulation leading up to Christ's return.
The coming of the new heaven and new earth

Dude, can you put 2 and 2 together?

It's one thing that you are leading yourself to to death, but if you are really a pastor you are leading your whole congregation to hell in the endtimes. You better take this more seriously.
rapture: the state of being carried away with great Joy:

1th 4:13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.1th 4:14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.1th 4:15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.1th 4:16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:1th 4:17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.1th 4:18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
this a lot clearer than a devils winter

Why would a pretribber use this verse? 1st Thess 4:13-18 clearly places the resurrection of the just as well as the rapture at the post trib 2nd coming of Christ via verse 15

no at the second coming of Christ. He touches down on earth. Here He stays in the clouds and we go up to Him two separated events, also the ones that are resurrected here are those that are asleep in Christ, on the second coming all the dead are raised. how can one not see this???

Time for a post-tribulatorary hymn:

Everyone sing big now, pre-tribbers can join it too if they want to.

Hymn #718
by Wesley
1. Lo, he comes with clouds descending,
once for favored sinners slain;
thousand, thousand saints attending
swell the triumph of his train.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
God appears on earth to reign.

2. Every eye shall now behold him,
robed in dreadful majesty;
those who set at naught and sold him,
pierced and nailed him to the tree,
deeply wailing, deeply wailing, deeply wailing,
shall the true Messiah see.
3. The dear tokens of his passion
still his dazzling body bears;
cause of endless exultation
to his ransomed worshipers;
with what rapture, with what rapture, with what rapture,
gaze we on those glorious scars!

4. Yea, Amen! Let all adore thee,
high on thy eternal throne;
Savior, take the power and glory,
claim the kingdom for thine own.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Everlasting God, come down!

Not only did the early Church teach that the Church would face Antichrist, and that Christ would return at the beginning of the Millennium, but in all of Church history, there is never a pre-tribulation rapture teaching, until Edward Irving writes of it in the 1830s A.D. -----So, the pre-trib rapture teaching is only 170 years old (and the mid-trib teaching is even more recent).
Outstanding Bible Teachers in subsequent generations of Church history, who taught that the Church would encounter the persecution of the Antichrist here on earth before the Second Coming, include : John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Knox, John Bunyan, Isaac Newton, George Whitefield, Charles Spurgeon, Charles Hodge, Henry Alford, J.Sidlow Baxter, F.F. Bruce, Thomas Chalmers, Adam Clarke, Jonathan Edwards, Jim Elliott, W.J. Erdman, Robert Gundry, Carl F. Henry, Matthew Henry, John Huss, Orson Jones, C.S. Lovett, J.Gresham Machen, Peter Marshall, Walter Martin, Gary Matsdorf, G.Campbell Morgan, Leon Morris, George Mueller, Ian Murray, B.W. Newton, John Newton, H.J. Ockenga, Bernard Ramm, Alexander Reese, A. Saphir, Demos Shakarian, A.B. Simpson, Oswald J. Smith, Jim Spillman, R.C. Sproul, Charles Spurgeon, Corrie TenBoom, S.P. Tragelles, William Tyndale, B.B. Warfield, Charles Wesley, R.F. Youngblood, -----and premillennial posttribulationists also include : Bengel, Brooks, Cameron, Delitzsch, Derstine, DeWette, Ellicott, Ewald, Frost, Godet, Godwin, Joyner, Kellogg, Moorehead, Orelli, Robertson, Rothe, Ryle, Spener, Stier, Trench, Volck, Van Ostersee, West, Whiston, Zahn, and many more. -----In looking at the whole history of the Christian Church, the overwhelming majority of great Bible-teachers have believed that the Church would encounter Antichrist, and that the rapture and the Second Coming would happen at the same time ...after the tribulation.

Now this is the fun part where I ask for historical proof from pre-tribulationists , my request normally met with silence...and shrieks of horror as they discover the evidence is slim.

Interestingly, pre-tribulation video games like the left behind ones, allow the christian to kill non-converts. A subtle reference to the Lord's servants who commit violence towards others perhaps?
Surely you're joking?!?

rapture: the state of being carried away straight to satan:

this a lot less clearer than a devils winter unless you have a better definition than Christ did of satan's reign
I fixed your post for you. Since you insist on flying, which has been man's desire throughout the ages, I want to let you know that the scripture you provide doesn't have anything to do with being raptured before the tribulation. Much less being raptured at all. You show your ignorance of of scripture.
You still avoid Matt 24: verse 22
20But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

For your pride and stubbornness you are leading people straight to hell, Thaddaeus. Woe unto you. You are doing satans work, nothing less.

sheesh miktre, who made you the final authority on this issue or given you the authority codemn someone to hell, especially over a difference in doctrine concerning an issue which has absolutely nothing to do another's salvation?

I don't mind discussing / debating controversial issues but when a person begins to point the finger at others and accusing them of being in league with Satan, whether you arer right or wrong in the discussion no longer matters, you have abandoned any and all humility by exalting your feeble belief system over the souls of others. That is nothing more than text book self righteousness. I pray that you are able to realize this for yourself.

so now we are to take a song over the word of God, so I will take the words of "Blessed Assurance" over the words of any song you can come up with, for it is blessed assurance to know that I am saved to the uttermost then my second song will be " I'LL FLY AWAY"
