And to think, there are prisoners that are given sexual enhancement products. PRISONERS ! ! ! !
Prisoners of
love.
Bwahahaha, sorry I couldn't resist.
I don't think anyone has made any point about restricting the husbands right to have godly relations with his wife? But the point is that the last thing we need as a society, is more sickos running around excited 20 hours out of everyday and looking to satisfy there ungodly lust... Cant you see the point?
I think medication has a lot less to do with it than most people's shaky and nonexistent relationships with Christ. I mean, I'd be revved up 24x7 without Christ - not just about sex either. And I'm not some paragon of virtue either - my walk could improve quite a bit.
I don't see where anyone has tried to condemn folks for godly behavior? But if anyone can see the world and whats going on in our culture, they have to ask if these products are really a help or just plan insanity? Its much like pain pills...I have no issue with there proper use but anyone can see that these things are destroying people and lives. The same with these sex pills...for every one that has some benefit, there is probably a thousand that are only drawn further into a life of sin and bondage to their lust?
This is a pretty deep rabbit hole. You're making a value judgment about whether or not a legitimate product should be on the shelves in an attempt to protect people from themselves. The last time a bunch of Christians tried that in the USA we had the temperance movement - and the result was a legacy of organized crime and the creation of federal agencies that have eroded our freedoms.
I think we as Christians need to be darn sure it's God telling us to condemn something before we go aggrandizing an issue. I think it might be a natural tendency to forget that fundamentally, we are unable to change others' hearts.
If these products were yanked off the shelf tomorrow, at best it would be a feel-good victory for a select few people - the irony of which would be if they ever needed them personally.
