Well those outside of Christ are judged by the law of Moses...But for those of us "in Christ" we are judged by the law of Christ...
And it the law that produces sinful lust and passions...so the law does not help anyone not sin but only makes it evident they are a sinner.
You keep trying to come up two versions of the Law. Jesus Christ is the One who spoke the Law to Moses and Israel. He is the Lawgiver...
Jas 4:12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
There is only one Law. The New Covenant is based on the Torah as we read in Heb 8...
Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
There was a fault with the first Covenant. What was it?
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
The fault was with the PEOPLE, not the Law. What was the fault?
Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said,
They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
God promised that in the future, He would fix the fault. What was the fix?
Deu 30:6 And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
He would give people a change of heart, not of Law. The change of heart is the New Covenant...
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord;
I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
God will give people a change of heart to understand, love and keep His Law.
by the way, Hebrews 8:8-11 is a direct, verbatim quote of Jer 31:31-34. Notice that the word for Law in verse 33 is...
H8451
תֹּרָה תּוֹרָה
tôrâh tôrâh
to-raw', to-raw'
From H3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law.
Total KJV occurrences: 219
God did not make a mistake in by giving the Law. He is not on version 2.7 or 3.6 today. He does not change the Law every whipstitch because of man's heart, He changes man's heart.
