That is Gods business. We can only declare the truth not compel men to believe the truth.

For the cause of Christ

This is true, perhaps in my own conviction, seperation from such people. There were times when Paul opposed people to their faces when they were in serious error.
I don't feel this way about many things, most things I let go, but issues with Holy Spirit I feel very strongly about.

Anyone teaching there is no Holy Spirit today, should be put to shame and stopped for their own well being and everybody elses.

There is no BAPTISM with the Holy Spirit today,

There is "one baptism" Eph 4:4 in effect in this present dispensation and that is Christ's water baptism of the great commission, Mt 28:19,20; Mk 16:15,16.

You are attempting to read into the word of God that which allows you to continue to profess what you do not possess.

For the cause of Christ
Roger

Have you been given the miraculous power of inspiration as Paul? No, then you are not a spiritual man as Paul and you cannot receive revelatory words from the Holy Spirit.

No one has yet provided any biblical proof that people today are baptized with the Holy Spirit....many claims, no proof.

i agree brother, they deny God, by denying His Divinity and His saving power through His Spirit. Pneumatomachi sprinkled with a dash of Pelagianism perhaps? He has obviously denied them as well and unless they repent they will be utterly destroyed.

Matthew 10:32-33

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 12:29-30
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

The Holy Spirit’s attributes and activities are always those of God. The titles used of the Holy Spirit identify him as part of the triune nature of the divine being.

The Holy Spirit possesses the attributes of God
He is present everywhere Ps 139:7-8 See also Jn 14:17
He knows all things Isa 40:13 NIV footnote. See also Jn 16:13; 1Co 2:10-11

He is unique Eph 4:4-6 See also 1Co 12:4
He is holy Ro 1:4 See also Ro 5:5; 1Co 6:19
The Christian’s body is also holy because it is the place where God dwells by his Spirit; 2Co 6:6

1Th 1:5; 2Ti 1:14; Tit 3:5; Heb 2:4; Heb 9:8; 1Pe 1:12; 2Pe 1:21; Jude 20
The Holy Spirit performs divine works
He creates Ps 104:30 See also Ge 1:2; Job 26:13; Job 33:4; Ps 33:6
He gives life Eze 37:14 See also Ge 2:7; Ro 8:2,11
The Holy Spirit is identified with the person and activity of the Godhead
“Holy Spirit” and “God” are used interchangeably Ac 5:3-4 See also 1Co 3:16
The Spirit is called “Lord” 2Co 3:17-18
It is possible to blaspheme the Spirit See also Mt 12:32; Mk 3:29; Lk 12:10
The Spirit is sent by the Father and the Son Jn 15:26 See also Jn 16:14-15

You cannot...after baptism, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus, Himself was baptized by the Holy Spirit (Matt 3:16, Matt 12:18, Jn 1:32-33... ).

Here are some promises that it is needed (Mat_3:11, Mk 1:8, Lk 3:16, 11:16, Jn 7:39... )

Joh 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you.

3 to whom he also showed himself alive
Irrelevant to the passage I quote. If you are going to prove the text wrong as I've stated it, deal with the text, not something totally unrelated.

4 and, being assembled together with them, he charged them
Ditto. Either deal with the prooftext at hand, or admit to the fact the Holy Spirit indwells -- "baptizes" -- all men and that He was not given to just the apostles. Essentially, that is what your claim and Atoned's boils down to. It is grave error.

Is being baptism with the Holy Spirit necessary for one to be saved?
It is the action of God that quickens you. Transforms you from dead in sin to alive in Christ. The new creation comes from the Holy Spirit not from water.

Repeating error does not make it better. You have some very wrong concepts about scripture and you cannot arrive at the correct doctrinal position until you fix them. You cannot fix them until you become saved by grace through faith and not falsely saved by water baptism.

**Sigh**

We receive the Holy Spirit -- we are baptized with Him -- at the moment of belief. Water baptism has no role in salvation.

Joel is specific. 1 Corinthians 12-14 is dealing with a different group of people. Are visions and dreams gifts of the Holy Spirit? What then of the sign gifts that have ended? God gifts men to the church with gifts for ministry. God gifts folks in the church for ministry. The gifts as signs are done until Christ returns.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
Your entire arguement is based on a prophet in the old testament under the old covanent mine is based on what Jesus himself said, you can rationalize it any way you want but I myself and taking what Jesus said bluntly. Not to mention I amongst many here have recieved multiple dreams and visions from God. These are the words he said in the last days your young men will dream dreams and your old men will recieve visions you can interprete it however you want but we are in the last days and these things are happening whether you believe it or not

The 4 Christian baptisms

All verses in the NKJV with the words baptism, baptize(d), and baptizing were analyzed.

Baptism into the church (salvation)
This does not refer to an intellectual belief (or conversion of one’s thinking),
but this refers to being born again (from above) with the Holy Spirit entering the person.

“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body (the church)
… and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact
the body is not one member but many.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-14).

The Holy Spirit takes up residence INSIDE the believer (John 14:16-23).
Verses stating that the Holy Spirit comes inside the believer are:
John 14:16-23; Romans 8:11; 1 Cor. 3:16; Gal. 4:6; 1 Timothy 1:14; 1 John 3:24, 4:12-16.

Baptism in water
Full-immersion water baptism is meant to be symbolic,
and it is the outward expression of inward faith.

“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death,
that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father,
even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:3-4).
”… buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through
faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.” (Colossians 2:12).

Jesus died to self, went down under the earth, was resurrected with a new incorruptible body.
We are to die to self, go down under the water, come up a new man ready to live a new life.
Scripture indicates that water baptism is strongly advised:
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Jesus, Matthew 28:19).
He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe
will be condemned.”(Mark 16:16).
“Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins,
calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16).

But, water baptism is not necessary for salvation. Scripture teaches us that
we are justified by faith alone, not by works (Romans 4:1-8, Ephesians 2:8-9).

“For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel …” (1 Corinthians 1:17).

Baptism with the Holy Spirit
John the Baptist proclaimed that Jesus is the One who baptizes with the Holy Spirit
(Matthew 3:11, Mark 1:8, Luke 3:16, John 1:33) … whereas …
the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the church at the time of our salvation.
The baptism with the Holy Spirit comes after, or at the same time as, being born again
… and there are 7 verses stating that the Holy Spirit comes UPON the believer:

The others are: Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 8:14-19, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:5-6.
Which baptism is this, salvation or water?
“(Peter and John) prayed for them (Samarians)
that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them.
They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.” (Acts 8:15-16).

Jesus made it very clear that He would be sending “the promise” of the Holy Spirit
upon believers (Luke 24:49), specifically the baptism with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-8).
This occurred on the Day of Pentecost, and is called “The Coming of the Holy Spirit”.
The Holy Spirit sat upon each person, and then …

“they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them utterance.” (Acts 2:4).
In Acts 10:44-48, Peter commanded water baptism after the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Baptism with fire
“He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” (Matthew 3:11, Luke 3:16).
This refers to the extreme suffering of a martyr for the gospel’s sake.
Jesus was the first in Christianity to go through this.

“But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am
till it is accomplished!” (Luke 12:50).

Jesus asks His 12 disciples if they are able and willing to be martyrs also.
“Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink,
and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?
… You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism
that I am baptized with” (Matthew 20:22-23, Mark 10:38-39).

The 4 Christian baptisms
Really? Have you read this?

Ephesians 4, NASB
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. [My emphasis added]

I think it wise for you to reconsider your post.

Baptism with the Holy Spirit occurs twice in the NT, with the apostles in Acts 2 and Gentiles in Acts 10 fulfilling Joel's prophecy that the Holy Spirit would be poured out upon all flesh, "all flesh" being made up of the two groups Jew (apostles) and Gentile (Cornelius)

Christ was speaking to His apostles when He promised them the Holy Ghost , Comforter, Acts 1:1-5.
[h=1]Acts 19:3-9King James Version (KJV)[/h] [SUP]3 [/SUP]And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]And all the men were about twelve.

[h=1]Acts 2:38-39King James Version (KJV)[/h] [SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Dost thou referest to you plural, or just little ole' me?
Regardless ...
I think it wise for you to research the meaning of Eph 4:5.
Oh wait, I forgot ... you know everything already.
