So I provide technical support for the end users (and then some) of the company I work for. I provide a lot of online technical support on various forums/message board sites as well. Here's me being facetious (and a dork) while nobody is monitoring me:

Online end-user:So i built a new pc and after a day in intensive installing/transferring it just turned itself off and wouldnt turn on.

My response: Try talking to it real nice to turn it back on, like this: Hey there good lookin', how about I BIOS you a drink?

I'll see myself out.

Unless Finale has changed within the last few years, I don't see why people still use it, when there are some other Free Music Programs that are far superior, not to mention more user friendly.

I know what I'm about to say is judgmental and horrible, but I just saw a person I use to know announce they were engaged. And the first thing that popped up into my mind was, "Yeah, not going to congratulate them. It will only last two months, tops." And I know that the reason I feel this way is she gets into relationships, gets married, then gets divorced. And yet another part me thinks, who knows, maybe it will work for her this time.

Anybody ever feel this way?

I want to thank all of you, my dear brothers and sisters, who have encouraged me with words, prayed for me, just been there for me during this difficult time of refinement in my life. I may not know you all in person, but your love and friendship mean the world to me. So, thank you!

I admit it. A few days ago I flavored my oatmeal by letting three gummy bears dissolve in the bowl while it was still steaming. Now to see if Shouryu, Lynx or Tourist disown me.

Who am I kidding. Shouryu will acknowledge that my actions were wrong, but he's much more of a "hate the sin; love the sinner" person than a judgmental type. Lynx will just find it to be different than how HE would sweeten his oatmeal, but won't find anything outright wrong with it, and Tourist will probably try it for tomorrow's breakfast.

I love you peeps. Oatmeal lovers, and others as well :).

I don't have any gummy bears. Will these work?

I haven't eaten those in fifty millionty-billion years, Tourist! I would think so, though. Worst case is that they might not dissolve all the way, and you'll get a nice bit of goo in your breakfast bowl :).

maybe I'll get my advanced degree in Music Therapy.

Then I can become a hippie and lead naked drum circles...

or something.

Catch 22 there.

The kind of people who participate in naked drum circles need therapy. If they didn't participate in the circle, would they still need the therapy?

What you call a Catch 22 I prefer to think of as "job security." :p

jilly81: Whatever floats your boat. I like butter and molasses in mine. Or dark honey. But melted gummies would work.

Ah, that's two out of three! If Shouryu posts as predicted, I'll win the trifecta :D!

Just got home from work and am starving.

Do you ever have those moments when you have a salt craving so badly that you're actually using a spoon to scoop up the very last super-salty bits and pieces of peanuts left at the bottom of the jar?
It is possible that your electrolyte levels are low, especially if you are feeling tired or drained a lot as well. I started craving salt when I was walking around all day in the hot sun measuring houses for a job. When I realized that I got some gatorade type mix and made up a couple liters of weak gatorade to take to work with me, and that helped. (1/2 tsp salt per quart is a good ratio if you ever want to make your own rehydrating drink stuff, usually not too salty to stand then).

That doesn't sound horrible and judgmental to me. Just sounds like she needs a good friend to express those kind of concerns in a more loving way before she sets herself up for another divorce. If there hasn't been any noticeable change in the way she approaches relationships then there isn't much reason to think this relationship will work out differently than past relationships.
