Who is Babylon the Great Harlot?

Back to topic. Jerusalem and by extension - Israel - is not Mystery Babylon. God's Chosen People, the Jewish, are being brought back to the Land. This process started in 1948 and continues to this day. Another call went out from Benjamin Netanyahu recently in light of the terror attacks in Paris. Since Israel became a nation, all attempts to destroy her have failed. Israel has defeated her enemies against overwhelming odds. Yet, Israel is not yet dwelling safely. This is still future. But one day God will execute judgment all around her so that Israel will one day dwell safely. The timing of this is AFTER the Man of Sin AKA Prince of Tyre, AKA AntiChrist, AKA Satan is defeated.

Ezek 28:

[SUP]25 [/SUP]‘Thus says the Lord God: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am hallowed in them in the sight of the Gentiles, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to My servant Jacob. [SUP]26 [/SUP]And they will dwell safely there, build houses, and plant vineyards; yes, they will dwell securely, when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God.”’”

The people could not return and dwell and or around Jerusalem if it were Babylon which was nuked. Therefore, Jerusalem is NOT Babylon. Zechariah agrees:

[SUP]16 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. There has to be a Jerusalem left for people to come to. Therefore Jerusalem cannot be thrown into the sea like a millstone. God makes clear that He protects Jerusalem. He doesn't destroy it.

Seriously, do any of you bother reading the refutations of your error?

I've already documented for you all how original BABYLON had "fallen" and how a "millstone was tied around her neck" AND YET SHE STILL EXISTS!

Seriously, you people really better learn how to study the Bible.

Antisemitism is on the rise in Europe and around the globe. In a stirring speech at the UN this month, Netanyahu had a lot to say about the rise of radical Islam and a nuclear Iran. His whole speech can be found here...

But I want to highlight the below concerning Netanyahu's claim of the land.

I often hear them accuse Israel of Judaizing Jerusalem. That's like accusing America of Americanizing Washington, or the British of Anglicizing London. You know why we're called "Jews"? Because we come from Judea.

In my office in Jerusalem, there's a -- there's an ancient seal. It's a signet ring of a Jewish official from the time of the Bible. The seal was found right next to the Western Wall, and it dates back 2,700 years, to the time of King Hezekiah. Now, there's a name of the Jewish official inscribed on the ring in Hebrew. His name was Netanyahu. That's my last name. My first name, Benjamin, dates back a thousand years earlier to Benjamin -- Binyamin -- the son of Jacob, who was also known as Israel. Jacob and his 12 sons roamed these same hills of Judea and Sumeria 4,000 years ago, and there's been a continuous Jewish presence in the land ever since.
And for those Jews who were exiled from our land, they never stopped dreaming of coming back: Jews in Spain, on the eve of their expulsion; Jews in the Ukraine, fleeing the pogroms; Jews fighting the Warsaw Ghetto, as the Nazis were circling around it. They never stopped praying, they never stopped yearning. They whispered: Next year in Jerusalem. Next year in the promised land.

This "DESOLATION" was foretold in relation to "thy people", THE JEWS, and "thy holy city", JERUSALEM, so, again, you people had better learn how to study the Bible. You people seemingly just start with the book of Revelation and totally discount the fact that what is written therein IS A FULFILLMENT OF THAT WHICH HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN PROPHESIED OR FORETOLD. Again, you're like people who are attempting to put the roof on a house WITHOUT FIRST BUILDING THE HOUSE TO SUPPORT IT.

Where do you think Judea is?
Judea is only the southern most part of Israel, not all of Israel. As Jerusalem is in the northern section right on the Judea line, and Judea area is under Palestinian control and not Jewish. And the AOD is when the antichrist comes up against Israel to make war with the saints, and sets himself up in the temple and claims to be God.

I thought I would also add I did go and do a quick research on Jerusalem being possible Babylon, and besides the normal ones from replacement therologist's. I did find a few others but unfortunately they were all from the preterist view point, and the problem with their view point is they believe it already happened in 70 AD....

Israel has negligible trade. Saudi trades 13-16% of the world's oil. There is an enormous difference. Israel is not found on a major trade route. Saudi is surrounded by the busiest trade routes in the world located on the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean. I was an officer in the US Merchant Marines in my younger years and have sailed on these waters. They are indeed very busy, the busiest I've seen next to the Straights of Malacca in Indonesia.

Watch the video posted by Kenneth. I watched it some time ago. It caused me to alter my views. I was leaning towards Rome before watching it.
