First yes there is a such thing as a 7 year period as I showed you in post #51 that breaks down the Daniels 70 weeks.
Second this verse here in Daniel speaks of one week, which a prophetic week is 7 years. Anybody who studies prophecy knows this;
Daniel 9:27
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Read post #58 Jesus said it would be destroyed.
There is a big difference in being desolate and being destroyed, as desolate can and in this case means deserted.
And the man of sin desecrating the temple by standing in the Holy of Holies claiming to be God happens at the same time as the surrounding armies that come up against Jerusalem. Herod and Titus neither one did this !!!
Good grief man, how can you ignore Jesus words? It is clear he is talking about the temple they were looking at. (HELLO) And you need to dump that 7 year trib teaching because it is false, there is no mention of an extended or lost week, neither a single mention of a 7 year tribulation. (doctrine of carnally minded men)
What polluted the sanctuary? Well let's see.

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Zephaniah 3:4
Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.

Of the Daniels 70 weeks there is still 1 week left to be fulfilled, and when the man of sin makes that pact (treaty) it starts the 7 year period. He then breaks it in the middle and the final 3 1/2 years is the Great Tribulation period. The full 7 years is not going to be persecution of the saints and Christians. Only the last 3 1/2 years will be......

It is not an added word...the word Coming is the Greek word Parousia and means body presence!
We are in agreement on this. There is one more week to go. Before this can take place Israel must rebuild the temple on the same location currently being occupied by the Muslim mosque. With modern building techniques the temple can be rebuilt in less than a year. The last week of the prophesy of Daniel is the 7 years treaty that Israel will sign with a yet, unknown entity.

The bible gives us a clear description of what the man of sin will do;
Matthew 24:15
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand
2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Neither Nero or Titus did this, as Nero died in 68 AD and Titus did not even go into the temple nor did he want it destroyed. His soldiers disobeyed him and looted it by taking the temple items and disobeyed and destroyed it any way. So your 70 AD event fails to fulfill the AOD, as no man stood in the temple and claimed to be God. Plus another thing they punches a hole in the 70 AD AOD theory is the fact that the bible through the words of the Lord and a cross reference in Isaiah 66:7-8, is that Israel becoming a nation in one day happens first, which happened in 1948.....
The Tribulation does not come upon the Jews only...
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Carefully note, this does not say Jewish flesh, it says ALL flesh. There were Jews in Corinth, did they see the Great Tribulation?
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Rev 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
The NKJV has...
Rev 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
The Diaglott has...
Rev 3:10 because thou hast kept the word of the patience of me, also I thee will keep from the hour of the trial of that being about to come on the habitable whole, to try those dwelling on the earth.
This is not going to be localized in and around Jerusalem, it comes upon the WHOLE WORLD. What happened in 70AD was not the GREAT TRIBULATION.
