I often feel Jesus won't forgive me for this act, do you think he will?

Hi all, I'm new and glad to be here among you all.

Anyway, Let me begin my saying that although Jesus forgives all sins ( except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit) He will not forgive anybody who receives the mark of the beast.

In Revelation's the Bible warns that in the End Times and Great Tribulation, The Antichrist who is Satan or one of Satan's closest companions .i.e. demon will be on the world scene and try to cause all to receive a mark in/on the right hand or forehead that nobody can buy or sell saith he that had the mark which is the name of the beast or the number of his name which is 666.
A lot of technology today could be a step toward the mark of the beast or even the forerunner, or perhaps even the ''very'' technology but is not yet in/ion a person's right hand or forehead. it may even be something we haven't seen yet that's unveiled or something completely unexpected. Things such as UPC barcodes (some claim contains 666 due to the guardbars), Human chips, invisible ink, palm paying devices, e.t.c.

Anyway for some reason about 1 month ago I felt the urge to rip out the UPC barcode from cardboard packaging and hold/press it barcode side touching my forehead for a few seconds, I knew it was wrong but did it anyway and I feel very stupid for doing it. I have OCD (( (obsessive compulsive disorder)) and because I did it once I felt I had to do it a couple more times due to my OCD

So like I said it was silly for me to do that but I have asked Jesus to forgive me and I WON'T do it again EVER ! last time was about 1 month ago and It will never happen again. I have truly repented of it.

But whenever I think about it it always nags me and I wonder if Jesus will actually forgive me for what I did during that stupid act.
Please be honest and do you think Jesus will forgive me, do you think it was something of a symbolic act and if it was will that be forgiven if I actually can be forgiven, will ti fall under the same category as forgiven sins ????

God Bless

Please, just relax. You have committed no sin. Now, if you tried to scan yourself I would be a little concerned. You are going to fit right in this community. Welcome to CC.

I feel I can't relax, whenever I feel close to God or refreshed in the Christian atmosphere I get that niggling feeling of doubt again, what if I can't be forgiven for what I did , am I praying to God who won't forgive me? that is all I think lately day and night since I did it 1 month ago

It was a compulsion that struck which meant nothing. You probably know this but can't help but feel that it did mean something, am I right?

You didn't receive the mark and neither do you WANT to receive the mark. OCD is based on things you don't want to happen, after all.

Was the act itself sinful? I can't say 100% because I don't know the actual heartfelt thoughts you had while doing it. The physical action itself wasn't sinful in my opinion. But you say you feel convicted(rightfully or wrongfully I can't say) and responded with a contrite heart before the LORD in confession. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. :)

You have asked for forgiveness and now you must let this go. If God has a problem with forgiving you, and I am sure that He does not as there is nothing to forgive - He can charge your offence to my account.

I think He will forgive you for this, and to be honest I think He like the way you feel about it right now. We are all going to do things that we regret in retrospect, but we can’t let us take our eyes off Him. I feel the fact this is worrying you so much you have to post this question shows that you do care about God and are concerned with your actions. Just pray to Him and let Him know how you feel about it, we serve a loving and understanding God and He will forgive and guide you.

Hi, Thanks for the reply

Will Jesus still forgive me whatever my heartfelt thought's were during this act?

When we ask for Forgiveness and repent, does Jesus erase it from his memory. If he does, do we still have to answer to these forgiven sins on judgement day?

God Bless

Once you ask for forgiveness God remembers your sin no more. In your doubt you keep asking for forgiveness - God scratches His head as He has no idea what you are talking about. Once your sin is forgiven you are as pure as the driven snow in the eyes of God.

If anybody sins/ does anything that is symbolic which upset's God, does the said symbolic act get washed away under the same category as forgiven sins when we ask God for forgiveness?

DO we answer for the sin we've asked forgiveness from on Judgement day?

God Bless

Hey bro. You're good. Holding that up to your head was not a sin. My son has ocd and I understand at least from him the urges that you feel. Jesus loves you and He has a plan for you. You needn't have fear. Tell yourself truth.... jesus loves you....you're a good friend, brother, son. Be kind to yourself in all you speak and think of yourself. You are "beautifully and wonderfully made!!

Thanks for the reply Bro.

To begin with, the first time I did it wasn't due to OCD. I knew what I was doing and it was stupid of me. Will God still forgive me regardless of what I felt in my heart during this act? I have repented and sought forgiveness from it

God Bless

Of course. Jesus just wants to know you. Run hard towards Him. Which it sounds exactly what you're doing.

Many thanks. if pssible could you please answer each of these questions using the bullet point method

. What do you think the mark of the beast technology will be ( something now or something you believe hasn't been unveiled yet)

. Do you believe anybody has the mark of the beast today ( via having certain technology in their hand or forehead) or do you believe that is will only be when the Antichrist is on Earth?

. what do you think the procedure will be for the mark of the beast? how do you thin it will be implemented ?

if you can answer these questions, it'll help me sleep better tonight, I'm not sure what the current time is in USA but In England, UK it's almost Midnight.

It means that I don't feel comfortable answering the question about the mark and end times stuff. Perhaps we both can learn something about it. Crossnote and the PRheiben guy I think could give us good insight.

Sorry if you find it upsetting discussing such topics, I'm not sure if you are implying that you find it upsetting when you state you don't feel comfortable about it or if you mean something else?

Do you know much about this topic Brother?

Greg Laurie speaks on revelation quite a bit. You might google him. I want to caution you on spending to much time in end times stuff tho if it causes needless fear in you.
