Ok I see your point :)
No problem even your verse in the OP speaks of they which receive the abundance of grace, and the gift of righteousness shall actually reign in life, even as sin shall not have dominion over you under that same grace, and Paul goes to show us the power of exerted through him by that same grace in that he laboured more then all of them combined, but not him but the grace of God that was with him.

It apparently didnt prove vain, because it wasnt received in vain (as the grace of God can be received in vain)

Sure...real grace has real power...because it is the Spirit and if we walk in it...it will bear true fruit unto God.

I was talking about that verse

Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Thank you for your kindness Mitspa as God knows the sincerity of that which you offered me, and so may He also reward you back according to it

"Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?" Romans 2:4

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. [SUP]15 [/SUP](John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) [SUP]16 [/SUP]For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. [SUP]17 [/SUP]For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1:14-17

"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Cor. 12:9

"But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, althoughthe Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— [SUP]22 [/SUP]the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: [SUP]23 [/SUP]for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, [SUP]24 [/SUP]and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, [SUP]25 [/SUP]whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith." Romans 3:21-25

"Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:2

"But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many." Romans 5:15

2Pe 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

"But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace." Romans 11:6

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me." 1 Cor. 15:10

"But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift." Eph. 4:7

"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word." 2 Thess. 2:16-17

I love to talk about the beauty of the Lords grace and love...the goodness of the Lord and the power of His Grace.

Ro 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Praised God!
When I've read the title, I felt such a relief... (takes deep breath) life, finally some LIFE being spoken! A little rest from the murder going on here!

My heart is inditing a good matter:

I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Thou art fairer than the children of men:

grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.

And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.

And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph

Ac 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Anyione who believes and teaches that grace dismisses the law is not familiar with what the law is, how it is to be used lawfully, and that the law points to Jesus Christ. Do not teach against the law, rather teach against the curse of the law, for grace through the sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ, has thrown that curse away from His united Flock.

Yes, through one man's offense mankind was lost, for an offence is disobeying our Father,; it is sin.

No one who has come to the Lord can possibly discount all of the laws for it points to Him. He destroyed the curse of the law, death. Now, by His teaching, by HIs EÇxample, we know that any law not observing love and mercy is no longer (read the New Testament).

Now the commandments are no longer in stone where mercy cannot be given or received, no, it is etched on the tablet of our hearts, and now when we see what is written in our Bibles , the spirit within us shows us it is alive, but only by the Holy Spirit guiding us.

Grace and the law used lawfully must be together at all times otherwise those who claim to believe Jesus Christ are making a mockery of His teachings, perhaps unknowingly, but it is still not to be practiced such.

God bless all in Jesus Christ, amen..
