What else is on my mind....
JesusMyOnly is trying to get me to post more in the forums, and be more active in the community, so that's why you see me getting more and more into threads xD
Let's see what else... Starting a company is tough! Last year, I was hired for what I thought was my dream job. I was covering news for my favorite hobby, Sim Racing, and I got paid for it! I did that job for over ten months, and then I hit a crossroads:
My (former) boss wanted me to move 800 miles, at my expense, to work for him full time, to eventually "take over" for him. Hearing that was staggering. I'm only 21, and he wanted me to take the reigns of a company that had an audience of 100,000+ for the website, and that's not counting the YouTube channel!
However, praying about it, I found a lot of red flags with it. My boss had a reputation for being volatile, and his two previous co-hosts had left. He would not be willing to contractually lock me in as a salaried employee, yet he would want me to sign a non-compete clause. He also was saying that my job would largely be dependent on sales, which I had no experience in. He also said he'd expect me to pull 40+ hour weeks, for $2,000 a month. That's around $11 an hour. While that's a relatively decent pay, considering the implications of moving 3 states away, as well as the reputation it's not worth the risk.
So, I decided to turn down the "promotion", and then he was totally cold towards me until I resigned the following month. I decided to start my own site and YouTube channel, and I feel it's going well so far. However, boy! It's tough to promote
Hopefully, God Willing, things will work out, in his due time.
