Under which covenant did Christ preach/teach? When did the new covenant begin?
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.
this is born again and what is sin contextually according to John?
1Jn 3:4 Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.
Sin is transgressing the law, so if the one born of God does not sin then they are obeying the law. why because the law is on their heart. what law you ask:
2Co 3:3 being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables that are hearts of flesh.
written by the Spirit and it is the law on stone now written on the heart.
So then those who have faith will keep the law.
A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
[SUP]19 [/SUP]“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. [SUP]20 [/SUP]You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[SUP][a][/SUP]”
[SUP]21 [/SUP]“All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
[SUP]23 [/SUP]When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy.[SUP]24 [/SUP]Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!......................
Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
The law on stone is not the law written on the heart. The law written on our hearts is written with the Spirit of the Living God.
What does the Spirit of the Living God write on our hearts???
Galatians 5:22-23
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
This fruit is only given and grown by FAITH. Whatever is not of FAITH is sin.
No one attained Heaven under the old covenant, for ALL RELIED ON Christ's DEATH ON THE CROSS TO RECEIVE ETERNAL LIFE
Funny, obedience is always called a works based religion.
What do you call the opposite? You know, disobedience. What is disobedience called?
Do you keep (obey) all of the literal commands of Christ in the Gospels?....
But to get back to the thread title here; The seventh day Sabbath is not abolished. If you think it is, how about showing me where the Bible says the seventh day Sabbath is abolished.
cutting to the chase. yes.
which one of the commands of christ do you disobey ?
(he said (it is written) his commands are not burdensome, and i have found that to be true.
even not one of the ten commandments is hard to keep for someone with the mind of christ , which he has granted to all the ekklesia abiding in him, of which i as gladly rejoicing to be one.
now of course, today, in many of today's churches disobedience is encouraged, so they are condemned. they pat one another on the back for continually going along with breaking God's Law instead of repenting. so they all are judged guilty (and not being forgiven ) by their own words and actions, according to God's Own Word. (as it is written, without repentance is no forgiveness of sin).
cutting to the chase. yes.

OK, nice quote now tell me, what determines sin? Faith?
Can I have faith and lie and all is OK?
Do you believe they died and went to Heaven?
cutting to the chase. yes.

Just to reinforce what you said here...
Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
I hear this tripe about how no one can obey, no one can keep the Commandments. OK, probably true for one who is carnal...
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Notice it is the CARNAL mind that cannot be subject to the Law of God?

Galatians 3:11-12
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
