Knowledge is it's system and the foundation which the universe and all it's laws depend.
Proverbs 9:10 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

I say without God we can have no true Knowledge. if that is the foundation then?

Lol, no. I'm just trying to figure out where stabbo is coming from. He is saying that the pursuit of knowledge and an awe of the universe would reduce mankind's sinfulness and lessen the amount of evil that exists in our world.
I can understand that to a degree, but I think it inevitably has to come to the point where those who do not share that worldview and awe will need to be "dealt with" for the greater good of humanity

It's very similar to Obama's speech to the U.N and many of the "elites" ideology that we can become like God without God
I didn't say that, I said we must pursue"learning" knowledge is nothing untill we learn from it and learning can help us change.

I said lack of learning causes most of our problems, not knowledge.
So how much learning would I need to do to stop lusting after another mans wife. Or to not fear death, or decide that I'd be better off being poor than to steal from a rich man, or to lie to save myself the trouble that being honest would cause me?
How would that learning stop egomaniacs and evolutionists (who simply believe in survival of the fittest) from gaining positions of power and lording over us with ill intent?

Where Christians believe that it needs to be led by God Himself
That is were I get lost with Christian theology, it says that God impregnated a married female and the child was the God man of the trinity, who is to say Obama isn't God in the flesh? How would one even know?

Because without learning you're powerless to change when you are caught in those things. But how much must you learn? Well that depends on you, do you want to change more or less, do you want to live in fear of the unknown more or less?

Fear will only suppress your ability to learn. If you stop learning you will starve your mind from it's food, then you will become sick.

So am I correct in thinking that your definition of sin and evil has changed too?

The knowledge of repairing a broken bone was known and the treatment accessible, so the healing was already provided for, so I just had to follow the path.

Well, you assume that I consider the man was God which indicates that you probably aren't even familiar with what is written in John 9, and as far as I know there is no medical procedure even today that can restore sight to the blind. So no, they aren't the same thing.
As big as God is in you head, how do you guys always manage to make him so small? Is it because like us non believers you don't see mountains being moved and you settle for Gods second best. Because that's how you sound bro/sis.

People only love a good mystery because in the end they can be solved. But living with a mystery that can never be solved would be worse than living in a nightmare.
My friend it appears you do not understand who God is and if you aren't a Christian you won't and if you once were a Christian then you never truly knew him to begin with because if you had you would have been forever lost in the endless sea that is his heart. True even if we spend eternity with him we will never fully know him but once you get just a taste of him you will hungerly seek to know him with a greedy heart. if that is what it is in heaven then that sounds perfect to me. what seems like nightmare to you is heaven for true believers

Learning is a means not an end, you can learn all the knowledge in the world, but...

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Ok now all you need to do is make the crossnote bible translation, and change the word "World" to learning. Then repost.

Yes they have changed but they still exists for now.
I know you said that you believe that we were created by a "higher power", so what is this entity all about if it is not the God of the Bible?

If the racing dog caught the mechanical rabbit, it wouldn't know what to do with it and it would never race again. A God that can be caught, fathomed, understood completely is no God at all and isn't worth our time.

As a nonbeliever, why are you here? Hanging around with a bunch of "nutty Christians" who must be soft in the head for believing a bunch of fairy tales? Something you want from us?
