I'm not too concerned with an eclipse.

I'd be concerned if something crazy happened...
like if the eclipse lasted all week.

Oh, and if the "blood moon" DOES mean something,
I wouldn't take in on the word of John Hagee.

: )

The blood moons are not this...

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

The heavenly signs are something that causes this...

Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

A simple eclipse or blood moon sure doesn't seem to have that effect.

Now, go look up the meaning of the word in the Latin it came from. You will find all it means is "past".

right.

which is why a preterist things all biblical prophesy is past.

While a person who is not preterist thinks some prophesy has been fulfilled (past) and some prophesy is yet to be fulfilled (future)

And THAT is a correct interpretation of things Scriptural. (IMHO)

There is a typical fulfillment and an anti-typical.

Type: Antiochus IV Epiphanes as committing the AOD

Anti-Type: The coming Man of Sin

Had Antiochus IV been the fulfillment, then why would Christ say that it is coming again at the end of the age? Because Antiochus was only the type of what was coming.

I am amazed people can read all this that was either said to or written to people living 2,000 years ago, and conclude it was really meant for today.... and not for them at all. I guess it was just supposed to make that generation (and 50 subsequent generations since then) nervous worrying about what was to eventually happen to you and me?

Then why make the previous post in light of this one?

And THAT is a correct interpretation of things Scriptural. (IMHO)

Who's doing any predicting? I just find it interesting.

the op asked how the events tied in with prophecy...

if you were not predicting, or wondering if the events are recorded in Revelation, then my post
does not apply to you

I posted a quote from an article from WND and some other sources...in reference to what is being discussed today across the web with reference to these event

it's easily seen that many people believe there is some sort of prophetic event going on

It's not just the fact of 4 blood moons and 2 full eclipses in themselves but in these two years (2014-15) they are all ending up on Jewish Holy Days that make them interesting.

Blood Red Moons

A red moon is a natural occurrence. During a total lunar eclipse, direct light from the sun is blocked, but indirect sunlight still reaches the moon - the red wavelengths make it through our atmosphere while blue wavelengths are scattered. If we didn't have an atmosphere, the moon would go dark during a total eclipse.

In any case, it's a regularly occurring phenomena. In fact, there are usually about 2 lunar eclipses per year (sometimes 3) - so it should be no surprise that there are 4 between 2014-2015.

Total Lunar Eclipse schedule:

4 Apr 2015
28 Sep 2015
23 Mar 16
16 Sep 16
11 Feb 17
7 Aug 17
31 Jan 18
27 Jul 18
.....

Look at the schedule out through the year 3000 if you want: NASA Eclipse Web Site

It's a regularly occurring phenomena. What would be pretty unusual is if we had an unexpected eclipse or an eclipse didn't occur when expected. Then I guess we could all get scared about some end of the world stuff (if anyone was even still alive at that point).

In any case, I predict that after the lunar eclipses this year, the world will pretty much continue just as it always has. I also predict that there will on average be 2-3 lunar eclipses per year out at least through the year 3000.

I don't understand why you take this personally?

Predicting verses reading the prophecies and trying to understand them are two different things. No one here has predicted anything but many have put forth their understanding of predictions that have been made and recorded.

In Revelation 6:12 it talks about the sixth seal and how the moon will turn red and the stars falling to earth. What if those stars are bombs? It then goes on to explain how people run for cover and call out for God to save them. Well there are no athiests in fox holes right? only AFTER all that does the tribulation happen and the mark of the beast.

So here's my questions:1) what are your thoughts on all the solar happenings of today?

2) how does today tie into revelation?

Both the Greek word ἀστέρες asteres and the Hebrew word כּוֺכָבִיֽם cocavim, which are translated as 'stars' are used to refer to either the stars of the night sky or angels of light i.e. Satan and Michael.

Please show me where I said or posted someone here predicted anything

Is there some kind of 'touchy' bug in the air today?

Never said that. I was just posting a statement of fact, if it came across differently, then I do apologize.

here's the op

I guess you guys forgot

Quite simply because those words, spoken and written, 2,000 years ago, said "It's gonna happen soon."

By your way of thinking, you should be looking for those things to happen somewhere around 4,035...... because, of course, whatever we hear or read is meant for people who will be living 2,000 years from now.

What makes it the year 2015 to you?

Do you honestly think the disciples who were asking Jesus those questions had the slightest inkling that He meant He was going to get killed, and THEN come back as a conquering king? Of course not. They just wanted to know when He was going to get their expected rebellion rolling.

We blind ourselves by thinking those guys had the Bible to thumb through when they asked those questions. They were concerned with the there and then, and the oppression of Rome and Judaism that they wanted out from under.

So, when this question was asked...

Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

You take it to mean that Christ was saying immediately?

I don't see it that way.
