In Revelation 6:12 it talks about the sixth seal and how the moon will turn red and the stars falling to earth. What if those stars are bombs? It then goes on to explain how people run for cover and call out for God to save them. Well there are no athiests in fox holes right? only AFTER all that does the tribulation happen and the mark of the beast.

So here's my questions:1) what are your thoughts on all the solar happenings of today?

2) how does today tie into revelation?
 
God did say that there would be signs in the sun, moon and stars before the coming of the dreadful Day of the Lord......it seems that we are getting very close to the end of the age for sure...........!

My thoughts are it's just an eclipse. It's a consequence of the orbits of the earth and moon around the sun. There's not much more to it. They're fun to watch though.

If an eclipse is a sign of anything, it's a sign of regularity. It's a sign that the earth and moon are indeed continuing along just fine in their orbits.

They are not bombs. The sixth seal is the heavenly signs...

Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

The heavenly signs occur just after the Tribulation (the 2-1/2 years) and mark the beginning of the Day of the Lord (1 year).
 
Everything is a "sign" of something. The fascination with end times is just about security being turned upside down, causing a sensation. The Kingdom is here is always a better message, hope in a desperate lonely world where there is too little care.
I lived through the 80's and the doom merchants. Prophets preached repent because of specific sin.
The problem I have though there is much sin, there is also much love, working for peace, sincere and honest progress on conflict and life issues, so we at this point in history are better cared for and safe than at any other point.
If people truly have the gospel there is great need to reach out and open up to others about this love and grace, because as the older generation survive into dementia, there is ever more need for this loving support and the costs associated with it.
 
I was just thinking about this because of the up and coming blood moon and the fact that there are three things happening in the sky today. *shrug* I like thinking about this stuff.

These events must precede it...

1) 1st Seal - Religious deception.
2) 2nd Seal - Wars and rumors of wars
3) 3rd Seal - Famine
4) 4th Seal - Widespread death
5) 5th Seal - Religious martyrdom

Then comes the sixth seal the heavenly signs...

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
Rev 6:16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
Rev 6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Just as was posted earlier, NO ONE will be saying "I wonder if this was it?"

A partial answer to your question is to contribute other parts of the Bible with the scriptures you present. Your question is definitely warranted because of the times we are living in today. We know the time is near. So I will contribute the words of Jesus in relation to your question. I submit Matthew chapter 24 in piece-meal knowing that all reading this can fill in the blanks by reading the entire chapter on their own,

[SUP]12 [/SUP]And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

These heavenly signs of the moon and stars happen after the tribulation, not the beginning of it.

No matter what view one takes with the blood moons...history has shown that some significant events in Israel's history have taken place on or around the blood moons of the past such as the 1967 6 day war and in 1949-50 with Israel's first war of independence with the Arabs after becoming a nation again for the first time in 2000 years...

Other events....
1493-94 When the King and Queen of Spain ordered all Jews to leave the country
842-43 Shortly after the Vatican was attacked and sacked by Islamic Invaders from Africa
860-61 Shortly after the Byzantine Empire defeated the Arab armies in Turkey and stopped the Islamic invasion of Eastern Europe
162-63 Coinciding with the worst persecution of Jews and Christians by the Romans and within 3 years a plague killed one third of the population...some 8 million

So, like I said.....not saying this is the end, but there have been very significant events tied to the blood moon and or associated with it by historical context.......
 
It's not just the fact of 4 blood moons and 2 full eclipses in themselves but in these two years (2014-15) they are all ending up on Jewish Holy Days that make them interesting.

AMEN and if I remember right it will not happen again for another 600-800 years...don't remember the numbers exactly, but somewhere in that time frame......
