All Scripture is the word of God, and even in the NT Paul's writings were considered to be Scripture (2Pe 3:16), as were Luke's (Lk 10:9), whom Paul quoted as Scripture (1Tim 5:18).

why is it that no one ever doubts John's teachings, or Peter's? :)

why is it that no one ever doubts John's teachings, or Peter's? :)

because they have been deceived. they think they know and believe john's teachings, and peter's,

but they don't.

when someone seeking the truth starts asking questions in most any church about what is written,

they are told what to believe, and they go along, or they are ignored and often shunned/ kicked out.

in most churches, what is written is not permitted to be spoken about, nor acted upon.

and , for supposed 'authority' , the churches have to say that they 'believe' john and peter and the rest of

scripture --- and those with the church have to go along with what they say they believe, or be outsiders...

God bless all in Jesus Christ. So, shall we sin more so grace shall abound? (Paul). God forgic. Again, our faith establishes the law. (Paul). We are no longer children of disobedience. (Ephesians..Paul). The law is established, and it is completed by Jesus Christ, but it is not extinnct or obsolete................Remember, if I were to not defend the law, I would be a hypocrite just as those modern Pharisees who point their fingers at any sinner they have decided they hate, while they still use God's name to condemn others at will. We are to show mercy to all, even to those deemed as enemies. We are to pray for our enemies, never for what they do if it is sinful, pray for them and bless them. ...
Yes it must be werisome to continually defending the idea that we are no longer obliged to not kill, to not lie, tonot bless our enemies.........and so much more on down the line in Scripture taught us by Jesus Christ. Yes, it must be wearisome.

It gets kinda wearying having to keep quoting this:

The law God requires you to keep remains, the penalty for breaking it however has been removed from the born again Christian. If that is not possible to understand, I sincerely suggest you pray for guidance and look to the Holy Spirit for the truth of it

I'm thinking they aren't the ones who have been deceived. . .

Yes. . .rightly establishes it in subordination to the law of grace, and not as the means of salvation, which is only by grace through faith (Eph 2:8-9).

That's why I originally mentioned 2 Corinthians ch. 11, (the chapter before Paul spoke of the "thorn in the flesh.") Because who speaks of many circumstances where he suffered.

2 Corinthians 11:22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
2 Corinthians 11:24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
2 Corinthians 11:25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
2 Corinthians 11:26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
2 Corinthians 11:27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
2 Corinthians 11:28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
2 Corinthians 11:29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
2 Corinthians 11:30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
2 Corinthians 11:31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.
2 Corinthians 11:32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:
2 Corinthians 11:33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

This also reminds me of the wilderness tempation of Jesus. (Luke 4: 4) This didn't involve any natural person: Luke 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.

Of course we know that even after that, Jesus still faced persecution, even to the cross.

Luke 6:44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

Very good points with the example of Job. His friends also stood in that place and were corrected at the end of the chapter.
I've always found that amazing..for several reasons...but I'll leave that for another discussion.

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
Job 42:8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

At the end Job prays for his friends, and there's the mercy and forgiveness. Jesus showed that great mercy even to the cross, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

Agreed, I love when that happens! Part of continuing, seeking, knocking and asking. Waiting on the Lord to bring it together in His timing. That always reminds me of when Jesus said:

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

I believe that is precisely the reason Jesus said that "if we continue in His word we are His disciples indeed, and we shall know the truth, and the truth shall make us free."

Still prayerfully examining these different passages as well.

Thanks for sharing your insights. It's so nice to discuss the scriptures as they are without debate and strife. So much more ground is gained that way. :)

God bless

God bless you too, this has been a topic of obesession for me over the years it never ceases to grow, expand and yeild more insight, etc. Once in awhile you fall upon a really good one, and this is it for me.

Its better to be put forth in parts rather then the whole, at least for me its far easier to see because its like you gotta chew on it for awhile, come back to it incorporate more and do the same time (wash rinse and repeat) and come back seeing more.

But thats all so much fun to do.

Great verses, enjoy your studying Sis!

Jesus Christ invited you and me to learn of Him. His yoke indeed is easy, and His burden is light.

Anhyone going through posts on the subject of Paul's teachings will find form his own writings arguments supporting and refuting similar subjects, thus hearing Paul only will confuse many, especially any who do not learn from the Master, Himself.

Paul does not disagree with Jesus Christ at all, butthose who misunderstand Paul tend to not only disagree with each other but also with the teaching of the Master,Jesus Christ. It is odd that those who claim to believe Paul do not hear when he declares he teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that people do not belong to him or to Peter or to anyone but Jesus Christ, for He is teh One who gave us the gospel, and He gave us the gift of savation through His own Blood.

If people wish to belong to Paul, contrary to his own teaching, then they will have to work that one out for themselves. Meanwhile those who believe Jesus Christ are at peace. Do not attempt to take the peace of Jesus Christ from His children in favor of misunderstanding Paul. Paul does not aks for anything approaching such error.

Not buying the separation of Paul from Christ. . .

nor any Scripture from any other Scripture taken in the light of the whole counsel of God.

truthfully, even the TORAH was given by yahweh's grace. and is grace. freely and graciously leading those to yahshua hamashiach as it is written, according to yahweh's great and wonderful and eternal plan.

The Mosaic law was merit, not grace.

when and if yahweh allows, you will see.

so far, several have tried to let you know more gently and more kindly, so to speak(for your sake),
and you
have rejected
those through whom yahweh sent his WORD to help you.

whoever you're trusting has a strong hold on you, so it will probably take quite a while, if ever.

only yahweh knows how long you have..... and those to whom he reveals, if any.

Falls a little short of demonstration. . .

I agree whole heartedly!

Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

I know the anti law people will not like this and call it a misinterpretation, but the English that I speak, read, and write, this verse shows me the following.

Faith is by grace, that is by the grace of God who gives it, for faith is a spiritual gift. God's grace includes the promises given in the law, and also the promises given to Abraham because of his faith. Therefore, all that God has ever given are because of His grace toward us. He gave the Torah.

I'm thinkin' you may be confused about who needs to see the NT revelation concerning the Mosaic regulations.

so far, several have tried to let you know more gently and more kindly, so to speak(for your sake),
And I appreciate their kindness, even though I don't agree with their "take" on the place of the Mosiac regulations in the NT (Heb 7:18-19).

why? you don't understand mosaic regulations apparently, nor listen to moses apparently, nor listen to yahshua apparently, nor understand revelation of GOD'S WORD apparently(just "apparently" from your posts).

and as for others:.... their "take" on mosaic regulations in GOD'S WORD is not what is at stake, nor what the question is about.(or not nearly that far along yet.... much much simpler problem here addressed)

in all the threads you've posted in, "apparently" and generally , there is errors , simple or worse,
and
they are not related to mosaic regulations, ......
i have not tried to reply to your posts(in error or not) , for the most part, except when it seemed important to bring it to light (for others who are seeking the truth in yahshua by yahweh's grace) ,

and it is a long process to work through (at all cost, get the TRUTH) , yahweh willing, especially on a forum like this which is open(for watching and for posting) to many groups in error, and many mockers(and worse).

If Paul is the first messenger / preacher to the Gentiles... When did the distinction between Jew or Israel and Gentile end?
What is everyone's opinion on the reason that there is a distinction to start?

This is something that is very interesting to me because I know of verses about grafting into the vine, I know about verses that say we are all one... So what is the need for distinction and what is the importance of Paul's role as to the Gentiles??
