This is the equivalent of dipping your children's broccoli in chocolate syrup in order to get them to eat it. You are to train your dog, not the other way around. (I could totally Jesus-juke this topic, but I won't.)

My parents went through this with their dog. Next time, make Mocha wait it out. Give him a day or two, and he'll likely change his mind. As they say...hunger is the best spice. (Reference to your other animal unintended.)
Or maybe I'm just sick and haven't had much sleep and I'm on edge and want a peaceful house for one night. Seriously, now is not the time to be lecturing me on how I take care of or don't take care of my dog. Thank you.

I don't think he meant it that way Lil, but in any case I hope you have a restful night. Sounds like you really need it. :(

Ditto on what Zero said Lil.

I had an old cat once she was 22 and the vet recommended I switch to this other dry food for her because of her kidney and weight issues. Well I tried it day after day, she'd put one in her mouth and I'd hear this little ting noise cause she'd spit it out and it would hit the bowl. I also had a box of some other cat food in my kitchen to feed a stray that came around. She got so desperate she ripped that box open and ate that.

After that I thought, oh to heck with this she's 22 let her enjoy her last days with crap food and be fat. That's what I did. She died about a year later. I don't know if it was the Friskie's eating that killed her or the weight problem, but I'm assuming because she was so old she kicked the bucket.

Praise band practice?

I, too, survived rehearsal. A bunch of Lutherans were trying to sing something with a lot of syncopation. Their attempts were cute.
Boy do I ever know the feeling! My church likes to keep the old songs and likes to sing the new songs, but whenever we try to sing a song with words that don't fall on the beat it's a mess. We usually default to singing the same words, with the same tune, but singing it strictly on beat.

Bedroom walls have been washed down with bleach water to prevent future mold growth.
I'm assuming you washed the walls with bleach to kill existing mold, if so you really should have those areas tested. Some molds excrete toxins into the air that can cause serious health issues even if the mold has been killed and often the surface mold is just the tip of the iceburg.

If you're sick feel better. (maybe it's the mold?)
Teach your dog to play fetch... it's fun. :)
Give your cat food! and if it's old let it die happy:)
Get rid of the mold! yuck!

There have I caught up?

oh and band practice: RUN AWAY! jonny will empty his spit thingy on your shoe!

There's this one song that the youth praise band tried to learn by Hillsong Young & Free called "Brighter." It has a lot of syncopation in the beginning, it's even a challenge for me. We have a backtrack for it. I'll try to help count them in and then I'm all like, "NO WAIT We were supposed to come in on 2 not 3. >.< Sorry, everyone!" It's bad. I'm determined to help them and get it right and hopefully learn something from this.

Unrelated separate thought - I'm still sick, and even more tired. While I didn't wake up as much last night, I didn't get much sleep because I went to bed slightly late. I planned on just sleeping until I felt good and ready to get up (sometimes, you just gotta do that when you're sick). But then my sister said the cat went outside and he sneaked underneath our deck and was hiding there and kept trying to get me out of bed so I could help her. -_- Since I physically am unable to yell at anyone right now I gave up and got up and then she didn't even need my help, but too late - I'm already up, my brain saw it was daytime and it's all ready to go. =\
Trying to keep positive and not be so snappy towards everyone (I'll tell you right now if I act snappy, it's anything but personal. I typically avoid people and social media when I'm sick my fuse is verrry short). It's hard, though. I'm still learning and growing here, and I am trying to practice self-control.

I think I'll just disappear until I feel better and don't feel like ripping someone apart over something trivial.

I'm trying not to get all panicky, because it's probably nothing. But you know how sometimes you just Know something is off/wrong? I Know. Or strongly suspect. I'm actually about to make an appointment with my doctor, which is a drastic measure for me. I almost fell off my porch while standing perfectly still, which I guess is actually sorta normal, but the DIZZINESS. I don't really feel all that bad, but I feel much worse than I should. It's tempting to go look up my symptoms online, but that would be the opposite of helpful.

Might be Low blood pressure, or maybe an inner ear issue that I assure you is easy to fix.

It would be nice to have a meal that makes you say, "ahh.. that was so good - I got no more room left," then have a whole strawberry cake, in front of you, just for you, plastered with generous cream, and just start eating one slice at a time, perhaps with a cup of coffee, until you truly have no more room left.

If I have to choose only one from (1) a hearty meal, (2) the whole strawberry cake, and (3) freshly brewed coffee, then I will have to choose (1) because (2) and (3) are kinda meaningless without having the first one. And what am I talking about? Hunger makes you think about all the stupid things hahaha. (and I just logged in to say this, for I am really hungry.)

I wasn't hungry after lunch yesterday. I tested the limits of "all you can eat." I wasn't hungry at suppertime either. I wasn't hungry by breakfast time today. That was a good lunch yesterday.

I kinda felt like if I ate much more, some of the fish I had eaten might start trying to swim upstream...

I'm really awful at sticking to schedules, but I need some kind of structure in my days- and so do my kids. The "free spirited" part of me is cringing right now at the very word 'structure', but the little tiny rational and logical part of me is jumping for joy. Just doing whatever we Feel like doing all day is getting awfully dull. Maybe there's a bit of lingering depression, maybe that's why these sunshiney days aren't looking like the golden opportunities they used to.

My head feels full of cobwebs and dust, and if I can just air it out, I'll feel so much better.

In theory.

Here's hoping.

There's a lot of potential for some shifting going on at work, which could lead me to fill a position I'd rather be doing than the one I was hired for. I'm going to be praying about this a lot and maintaining hope. Whatever happens, I'm grateful for steady income at least.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program of Siberian engorging on peanut butter filled pretzel bites while fixing laptops and hearing people shout at each other in Taiwanese.
