I'm answering as an ex-stoner, and yes, I was a Christian the entire time I was a stoner.
Your logic is off.
1. The commandments come down to love God fully and love others fully. Okay, where does pot fit in? (Did I just give you an idea how long ago I was a stoner? I do know no one but old people call it pot, but check my age. I am an old people. lol) Pot is "love self fully." Love self fully is the opposite of what we're supposed to be doing.
2. If it's there, why wouldn't God think it's fine to use it? Well, okay. Want to eat a bunch of apple seeds with that logic? They're there. They're also arsenic. How about smoking some poison ivy? How about drinking some mercury? You're missing something. Weeds were part of the fall. If it doesn't work in every case, you can't use that logic for one case.
3. Marley is in heaven? Maybe, but what did he ever do for others? What did he do for God? I don't know the guy (even when he was alive -- do still like his music though), but it strikes me his philosophy in life is "Me first." Not cool. Not love God fully and others fully.
4. Healing quality? I'm disabled with chronic pain, so I understand the argument. How's that healing going so far? Are you even using it for healing? THC really does have healing properties. That's why scientists made it in pill form. Not a big hit among the stoners. Probably for the obvious reason. It doesn't make them stoned. Pot does, on the other hand, have a downside few talk about. It suppresses emotional growth. If you start smoking regularly at age 13, and then finally quit at age 40, you wake up as a 40 year old with the emotional maturity of a 13 year old. (The learning curve is steep.)
5. No one has ever died from it? Where have you been living? Do you really think all DUIs are alcohol related? Do you think all people who ever drove under the influence and killed someone could never, ever have been driving while stoned? I live in Philly. A couple of years ago in Center City (the commercial district of our city), a guy was tearing down a building using a bulldozer. One little goof and the Salvation Army store next door collapsed. It destroyed seven lives -- two deaths and five serious injuries. It also destroyed the lives of those people's families. The bulldozer driver was on pain pills for a bad back and smoked a dube an hour before. Want to try dividing that into which part was the pain pills' fault, which part was the dube, and which part was just human error? I don't think the victims want to do that. Of course pot kills. It kills more now, because that stuff absolutely wastes a person to the point, quite often, the stoner doesn't even remember what happened while stoned. (Your weed's not my pot. I do get that.)
6. You've had fun times with your friends? Yeah, me too. The times were more fun without the buzz, because I can actually remember what happened and why. (Even concerts were better when not stoned, and, granted, I only went to concerts without getting high, because I couldn't score any before the concert.)
So, if nothing else, how about from God's word?
Matt. 22:37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
I get the reason why you still want to get high, but there is more life without it, and not much of a life with it.
From my drug rehab days: Drugs are not the problem. They are the symptom of the problem. You're hiding behind a symptom. Also, not cool. You're ignoring God. Worse than not cool.
Now what?
