So contrary to Paul's instructions, for nearly 16 centuries the Catholic priest has been forbidden to marry by Canon Law! This is highly significant because of what Paul says next:
1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Tim 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1 Tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, ...

Whatever, you can keep misquoting scripture all you want. I know you have no authority interpreting scripture but you keep throwing it out there. If the Holy Spirit is guiding you protestants, then He must be pschysophrenic cause yall can't agree on doctrine even though you claim to have the truth. And of course the Holy Spirit is not that and there is One Church founded by Christ, not 30,000
But the one church founded by Jesus was not the Roman Catholic church which came into being in 8th century AD, nor was it an hierarchical church. And it was certainly not centred on Rome. It was a spiritual church which was made up of all who were united with Him in His body, all true believers in Him as Messiah, no matter what their denominations.

The pillar of truth was the church founded on Christ and the Apostolic teaching, who abided by those teachings. Not some grotesque monster called the Roman Catholic church which was founded on lies, deceit, murder, adultery greed and godlessness. Just read its history in any good independent history textbook.
The "Pillar of Truth" mwc68, is not the Roman Catholic Church! The "Pillar of Truth" IS Jesus Christ and His Church!

Jesus Christ IS the head of the Church, not the Roman Catholic Church. The Church is SUBJECT TO Christ.

Jesus Christ IS the head of the Body which IS the True Church, not the Roman Catholic Church.

Even Peter who you claim was your Pope says there are people who will twist the Scriptures to their own destruction. You mwc68 are twisting the Scriptures to your destruction and even Peter is saying this.
