They included all inspired writings and that's what is in our bible. You can try your Book of Enoch theory in a New Age forum...you'll have better success.

Have you read it?

If not how would you know if it's New age?

What most call New Age has been here from the beginning .

All inspiring writing, if you really want to go into it the bible was never a books and all the scripture was seperate.

So everything that wasn't in the book of Timothy wouldn't have been called inspiring writing .

You seem like a smart man, you know each book is seperate

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

You are making little sense. Moses wrote the first five books under inspiration and they had those books since that time.
The Book of Enoch was written a couple of thousand years after Enoch lived, so it could not have been written by him.

Was Moses alive during Adam and eve or Noah? But he wrote the books O.o ?

2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Here maybe you'll listen to Wiki instead...

It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest or significance, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as non-canonical or non-inspired.[3] It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian group.

Well some holy man was moved by God and wrote Enoch . I Guess that clears it up

So here you are a non christian dictating what is supposed to be inspired Scripture for us...go figure.

Re: WHEN DID SATAN GET KICKED OUT OF HEAVEN ???? ( " LET'S GET SCRIPTURAL

True, but what are you insinuating with these two dot points? God sums up all of creation as "very good", so Satan's influence couldn't have been felt yet in creation. Otherwise it would not be "very good" or even "good".

Have you studied the word good?.....and I will say that if there is one thing I have learned in over 26 years of intensive study is the fact that every word or lack thereof has meaning...there is a reason why the word good was left off of the two points made.....

Although there is a generalized statement calling the things made good as found in verse 31 there is no particular reference in context like the rest of creation concerning the use of Good...

in context as the days of creation play out it is all called good except...

1. The heavens
2. Man

The prince of the power of the air was already here!

The book of Jude quotes from Enoch, see here:
Jude 1:14-"Enoch,*the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men: "See, the Lord is coming*with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones*15*to judge*everyone, and to convict all the ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

Now I'm not saying, under any circumstances that the book of Enoch should be in the bible, nor do I know if it is inspired. JUDE and Jesus actually referenced it though. Is the whole thing to be believed? I don't know. I have read it, but that's about it. Some parts of it were understood as being a spiritual truth by some of the writers of the NT.

The Hebrews passed down many oral traditional stories at that time, so they could have been quoting from the oral history of the time, instead of the book itslef, and the book could have possibly been written at a later date.

Other than that, Jude definitely mentions Enoch talking about these beings when describing these, 'men, and blemishes', which were the fallen ones, according to Enoch.

Do I have to be a Christian to know what's inspiring scripture?

But I do know there use to be bibles with 72 books in it and they took those out, I guess somebody else decided those wasn't inspiring book anymore ?

I saw nothing about a 'book' in that Jude passage. Jude, under inspiration of the Holy Spirit quoted Enoch himself.

No, but if you would believe Scripture you'd be a Christian otherwise I don't know why you waste your time with arguing Scripture and what comprises Scripture.

Not that I am arguing with you, but in all fairness...not every time an O.T. book is quoted is the book itself referenced...just saying that is.....and I will add...if that logic bears out then is the book of Jasher inspired and to be included as it is referenced by name in the O.T.?

Just a few points and like I said...not arguing for or against Enoch.........

I'm still trying to figure out if you read the book of Enoch?

To comment on something you haven't read would baffle me

Jasher probably is inspired if they had the actual book...forgeries don't count.

I haven't read it .Have you read all the religious books in the world? I am going by trusted sources who have ruled it not inspired. That way I save time. I suppose I can read it but as soon as I come across a contradiction with the received text (66 books). I need not waste further time.
But must I have to do this with every book written in the world? No, it has already been done by better men than me. Your question proves nothing.

I don't know about that. There a lot of scriptures out there. Its hard for me to just believe something I personally have to do research and check the foundation of the scripture I'm going to be basing my life on.

I'm not arguing scripture just telling the op he should check out the book of enoch.

And

And
Matthew 7:7-87 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

But remember, that comes from Jesus, not a new age guru

Also:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
