Right/wrong? Good/bad? Wise/unwise? Should be left untill married eg first kiss on your wedding day?

Thoughts?
 
If you're able to control yourself for it to be no more than a hug or a kiss then why not? If you can't then discuss that with the other person.
 
I've heard stories of pastors waiting til they are married to first kiss their wives. It depends what the couple feel. Thee is nothing wrong with kissing and hugging, as they are positive signs of effection. As long as it doesn't go beyond that point to where you both stumble, it's perfectly fine.

Sorry..but I did not grow up in the 19 and counting DUGGER FAMILY..although I did grow up a pastor's son in a solid CHRISTIAN home. As the old song goes..."If you wanna know if he loves you so, it's in his kiss..that's where it is". Kissy pooh is much needed in our romance..whatever happened to it? Why did it go away? Today, it's "get down to it" mentality..first comes baby...love has nothing to do with it...gratify for the moment please.

Save your virginity for your wedding night..it's GODLY..very honorable and wise. Very few newly married "Christian" couples were virgins the day they were united in holy matrimony. What? You didn't know this? WOW..now you do.
 
I think kissing is ok, but not making out. Holding hands, yes. Hugging, yes. Grabbing buts heck no. And like no making out on coaches, because that can become too much of a temptation.

If anything that leads you or tempts your partner to do something more. The answer is, yes!

One can lead to the other. Best to leave it, unless you want to regret it and realized that person wasn't for you or you wish it was something special you left for your wedding day/night.

I'll never forget my son telling me (back when he was 16) he was at his girlfriend's house making out with her on the couch. Her dad walked into the room and caught them and was very upset and pointed out to them that he doesn't want them making out on his couch and it was time for my son to go home. His girlfriend was angry with her dad when she learned that her dad told her mom what happened and instead of saying they were "making out" he described it as "heavy petting." This is certainly too much temptation, especially for teenagers.
 
There is nothing wrong with hugging and kissing before marriage. I suppose that smiling at someone might lead to temptation also.
 
Hey sweetie, I would advise that you save yourselves when it comes too kissing.. A passionate kiss is a very powerful thing that send all sorts of chemicals around our bodies.. Im 28 and have been a Christian for 6 years, I had a boyfriend in Christ 4 years ago and I will tell you the honest truth, We spent time alone together first off cuddling, then kissing... Then....... well, I wont spell it out. It became very emotionally messy and destroyed our relationship. Kissing itself isn't a sin but it can very easily end up going to far. Keep yourself pure by saving yourself.. It will be more than worth it. Cuddling I think is fine but I still wouldn't advise you 2 get 2 close while your alone together... XXXX
 
As it pertains to me, I am alright with a kiss on the cheek, since its less emotionally simulating. But as for a kiss on the lips, that is something special, which can be very romantic, causing an emotional response or connection, best saved for married. Just my thought.

Thanks sis, I'm still around but not always in the mood to post - sometimes I just read the comments of others. Love you too sis. It is such a compliment for you to call me "an English rose", that is how princess Diana was sometimes referred to as and I so loved her - she had a beautiful heart. Thank you for your prayers, I kinda need them right now. God bless you sis. :)
 
probably depends how solid your relationship is with god. I would not be overly concerned on anyone else's personal conviction on the matter but if your worried about it because of where it might lead you answer your own question.

Hi all
It's a bit different here with different communities. I met my hub in a friend's house and we met in Feb 1985 and we continued meeting there five or six times. We went out chaperoned. Then in September he met my parents and we were engaged. Our marriage was on the 30th of Nov , 1985. It lasted 26 years. He passed away on the 21st of June, 2011.
