I told him back in February that I thought he was slightly less teachable than my left shoe.
While I don't necessarily agree with some of Jason's philosophies, I don't think that gives anyone a right to be sarcastic with him. I've seen a few remarks already and it'd be appreciated if y'all can hold back on them, as they are not needed. I haven't seen Jason use sarcasm in any of his posts, and y'all don't need to either. This is coming from someone that is highly sarcastic, but knows when to be serious. This is a serious thread and adding sarcastic remarks will just continue to drift further than the original intent of this post. Thanks.

Hey Jason....walking talking beacon of hypocrisy.....is there no depth to which thy ironic sense of self importance and self centeredness can go? How deep are the waters of the focus on thyself? It appears that even the vastness of space pales in comparison to the enormity of your self importance. ya.ya....we know. Its all about God, Jason points the way to God....Jason is a spiritual giant...blah blah blah.....in the twilight zone maybe.

Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). This was not only at the cross, but this would also be the works of the devil within a believer's life, too. It is both Justificaton and Sanctification.
Sanctify them with you truth, for they word is truth (John 17:17).
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (Ephesians 5:25-26).
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV)
But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:13 ESV).

Nah...maybe God will open Jason's eyes to just how ironic this thread is for him. A man who claims its all about God but manages to make it all about himself.

Well I owe lovely JF an apology, because I refuse to ruin the girls thread with my personal disagreement with certain members. Forgive me, I hope this thread truly helps others.
Go back and look at the beginning of the thread. People were pointing about how great they were. This is not a Biblical concept. Unless you can demonstrate with Scripture that is so.
Every thread I've seen you post on has turned into a Biblical concept. Even one of a kid asking if he should ask a girl out to a school dance. So I have no idea what you are talking about right now.

If you look at some of my posts back in February you will see me saying something very similar.
The difficulty many of us have with Jason is that he doesn't respond to anything that is said to him as if he had read and understood it.
He comes across as if he has an agenda that runs in parallel to what others are saying without any real interaction.
Pointing to ourselves as being great is not a Biblical practice. The OP started a trend of people saying how good they are. That is the wrong focus. We should be point to how great God is (Not ourselves).
There is no agenda but seeking to glorify Jesus Christ and His Word. However, people do not like what God's Word has to say, so they attack the messenger. But Jesus said this would happen, though. So I will rejoice in the Lord when others speak evil against me falsely.

Well, good as these scriptures are they are not really saying that justification, that is being made righteous, possessing God's righteousness, is an ongoing, continual matter. Rather it speaks of the fruit of same.

Yes, I encourage people to seek God's will and plan according to His Word. That is what I have been encouraging people to do here. But most do not want to hear that, though. They want their own thing. Their own way. Their own path.

Maybe people should start saying "I love you because..............."
So, I will start: Jason, I love you because you are son of the most high God
A believer lets God's righteousness flow thru them and their life. If a believer just chose to turn back to their old ways, they are no longer being conformed to the image of Christ (Who is supposed to be our substitute). When we change that image to our own image, God cannot impute His righeousness to us anymore. We have to continue to let the righteousness of God work thru us until the end. For those who endure to the end shall be saved (i.e. Glorification). There are three aspects of salvation: Justification, Santification, and Glorification. We are saved when we repent of our sins and accept Him as our Savior (Justification). We then continue to abide in Christ and His righteousness. We purify our souls thru abiding in Christ. We maintain a right standing with Christ and His goodness. (Sanctification). Then Christ calls us home when we fulfilled his purpose and plan in our life (Glorification).
Thank you. My identity is in Christ (Because I repented of my sins and accepted Him as my Savior). I am only a king and a priest because of Jesus Christ. Alone, I am nothing. But in Christ, I seek to uplift Jesus Christ and not myself. For why would I trust in myself over my King?
