I didn't read all the replies, so forgive me if this is repetitive. I was born and raised Lutheran. Then I was born again. During the Lutheran catechism classes, we were taught about different faiths. The Catholic faith teaches God may be too busy so they pray to Mary. Calling on Jesus name is not unheard of for a Catholic person, as it isn't unheard of for many faiths.
I was still a baby born again Christian when I was attacked by demons one evening. I didn't know quite how to pray and get results then. So I prayed the rosary over and over for comfort and courage.
It worked.
Years later, I asked, "why did that work?"
Here it is, "Hail Mary, full of grace, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, JESUS.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death."
Today, I know. It is praying to the name of Jesus. "At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow." There are born again priests and bibles are opening in the Catholic church, slowly, yes, but definitely opening.
We need to pray for all Christians, even those afar off.
Be blessed!
