Is a life without sinning possible?

Jesus commands us to let our light shine before men (Matthew 5:16). For we are to do our good works here upon this Earth and not in Heaven. We are to live holy now and not just up in heaven. For without holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
 
Is life without sinning possible? Lets see...............Of course it is and Christ is the one who proved it and we are to be like Christ. However, I will admit that I have sinned and I am ashamed of it so much though I turned from the sin. Even though I have sinned there is one positive outlook, it has made my walk in Christ so much stronger:)

No. He was not good and evil. That doesn't make any sense. Cain was not the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Cain was evil because he murdered his brother and then he didn't even feel sorry about it. Cain was just all broken up about the punishment he had to endure and he was not sorry about what he did. That is called a bad guy. Jude talks about how there are some who are brute beasts and who are plucked up by their roots and are twice dead and then he talks about how these types of beasts (bad people) had went the way of Cain. So no. That is a description of some half good / half bad guy. There is no such thing. You cannot be both bad and good at the same time according to God. You are either good or you are bad. There is no nuetral kingdom. There is God's Kingdom that is good and there is the devil's kingdom. The Scriptures say if you sin, you are of the devil. The Scriptures also say if you do righteousness, you are of God. Jesus says you cannot serve two masters.

You do not understand. It is God that lives in the person that enables a person to stop sinning. The person in and of themselves can do nothing. It is all by the power of God. That is why Jesus said to his disciples.... with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.... when his discples asked.... who then can be saved?

Side Note:

This conversation was a result of the discussion Jesus had with the rich young ruler and then Jesus saying that is it easier for a camel to go thru the eye of a needle than for a richman to enter the Kingdom of God.

Jesus and His disciples walked about in sinful places, and didn't sin. and if the disciples did sin, and sometimes they did, what then? were they rejected? or did they return, repent and be forgiven ?

Jeff, I appreciate what you share and you're right that we are called to be above the fray and be Christ-like. What I'm saying is that though I try hard, I am not perfect, and be that as it may, I have peace knowing God's saving grace in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, is sufficient.

In other words, from the disciple's perspective it seemed like an impossible task for men to be saved. Hence, why Jesus said it was not possible with men, but salvation is possible with God, though. For it is only by God's Spirit can someone be transformed and made brand new.

But nowhere do we see this as a Biblical practice, though. Nowhere do we see the apostles behaving in a sinful way (like lying, cheating, hating, etc.) thinking they were saved automatically while striving to do what was right. You will not find that in the Scriptures. Oh, and Romans 7 is Paul talking from his perspective before he became a Christian trying to be justified by the law. For Paul gives us the solution to his struggle in Romans 7 with Jesus Christ by the end of the chapter.

For the sin of lying, lusing after women, and hating will cause a person not to inherit the Kingdom of God just as.... murdering, raping, and or hurting children will cause a person not to inherit the Kingdom of God.

For you have to go back to John 12:48. Jesus said if you reject His words, then those words will judge you on the last day. So if you do not forgive your brother, then those words will judge you on the last day. If you hate your brother, then you are considered a murderer and we know no murderer has eternal life abiding in them (1 John 3:15). In other words, if you hate your brother 1 John 3:15 will judge you on the last day.

Cain was evil Before he overtly murdered. He just looked "good" on the outside.

It takes meat and lots of doctrine for us to discern between Good and evil.


The self righteous crowd, we can't see the evil(human good) in them unless we have doctrine and the meat of the word.

Heb 5:14~~New American Standard Bible
But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

This verse is, "Discern (divine) good and evil(human good)

Cain was using his human good(evil) to present his offering to the Lord.

No. His grace is not a license for people to get away with sin. Such a belief would be dark and evil. Jude 1:4 says there are certain false believers who have turned the grace of our God into a doctrine for immorality. Peter warns us of certain false prophets who have eyes full of adultery and who cannot cease from sin (2 Peter 2:1, 14). Paul says if any man speaks contrary to the words of Jesus and the doctrine of Godliness, they are proud and they know nothing. Paul also says in the last times men will be lovers of their own selves and they will be without natural affection and that they will have a form of Godliness but they deny the power thereof.
 
Ultimately, as long as we have flesh bodies that war against the Spirit, we cannot be 100% sinless.
Once we are glorified and receive our spiritual/glorified bodies, then we can be.
The rest has been drawn out over 7 pages of posts. The idea of sinless perfection is nice, but not scriptural.

This is why we have the sanctification process after we obtain salvation/justification. It's a process for us to conform to Christ that is lifelong and in the process, we allow God to help change us and remove that which is displeasing to Him. During this time, we still cannot be sinless, but as we resist sin and temptation, it's like muscle memory. The more we resist, the stronger we become at resisting sin and temptation.

Your warning is meaningless because you do not have any Scripture to back up your claim. Nor can you even set forth any rational real world example to prove your case, either. OSAS is pure evil. It is one of the most evil things that I can ever think of that the devil cooked up to deceive people. For how on Earth can you think you can do evil and think you are a good guy? It is an ignoring of common basic morality that even unbelievers are capable of recognizing. For you know the standard of who is good and who is bad by what they do and not just in what they say or believe.
