Forgot the butter. My mom grew up on a farm, in Ukraine, and butter, milk, sour cream, dairy eggs, were abundant, always had a lot of these, and a lot lot more butter on top of bread to go with the soup. Fish, soup, and Sorrel soups, but no shortage on butter. I remember mom takng half of the butter for one piece of bread, well she deserved it, she was the cook, every day. lolView attachment 99671 * *growing up we ate*Borscht*every single day, and black bread, cake maybe once or twice a year, no sweets not that I remember. Chocolate's yes, but things like donuts, etc. that's a no no, because we had the*flattest*tummies, sugar does go to your waist line. Being under the roof of our parents we ate what they bought. Now you do your own thing, and buy your own tickets to the Dr. Sometimes. Self Control, will be a big help for all.*View attachment 99672View attachment 99672
