In light of some recent threads, I am tempted to make a "Looking for a Traditional Transgender" thread, but people here would probably think I was serious. I may take it to the Bible Discussion Forum instead...

funny, i'm mildly inclined to start this one in the family forum:

seriously seeking servile, submissive spouse searching for same. suggestions?

p.s. i'm stuck in a telecon with some interesting characters. do people with nasal voices have anatomical or physiological aberrations?

Oh my goodness. I laughed so, so hard at these posts.

If only we could all post what we're REALLY thinking... but then it would turn into more of a "Let's See Who Can Get Banned the Fastest" contest.

I could be wrong, but my money is on Catherder all the way.

If they did start it, I'm guessing I would have to execute what OnceFallen has begun calling the Lynx manuever a lot.

The "Lynx Manuever"?

Lynx, have you been secretly piloting The Millenium Falcon... again?!

(Well, we all wondered where you've been lately...)

I just wonder how they, long ago in a galaxy far away, knew what a falcon was.

In other news I am feeling seriously left out of this culture. I haven't started one single "looking for a date" thread. I can't figure out if it's something wrong with all of you or something wrong with me. :p

sudo dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb

For those who know what that means, that's pretty serious stuff.

(For the rest of you I will let you know it means I am wiping out the computer's whole hard drive and cloning in a backup I made when I got the computer.)

i'm inclined to agree. my money would also be on catherder as well. that is, if i was prone to gamble, something that i find far too immoral to even joke about. however, no judgment!

as for the rest, thankfully i'm far too well-behaved for that kind of insolent vulgarity. you see, once i was saved, i became so holy that now, i even bless myself when i sneeze.

i'm thankful that God has entirely tamed my desire to be rebellious. however, i nearly forgot that yesterday when i sprinted (only a little!) with a pair of scissors loosely held in my hands. gratefully, my sensible and cautious demeanor prevented what might have evolved into a full day of mayhem to only a regrettable incident. *whew*!

i'm going to spend the rest of the day spell checking my correspondence and practice sitting lady-like in a new skirt that i fear may expose a rather licentious level of ankle. we ladies must be ever-aware of triggering an unfortunate melee of lustful debauchery!

lately, i've been buttoning my shirts right up to the top, lest i incite even greater strife in the world with my shapely collarbone.

hopefully, i'll find some time tonight to practice my submissive responses (yes, my dear!, you look so handsome when you make decisions, etc.) as i look forward to being a respectfully dutiful wife to an equally well-behaved gentleman.

There seems to be this misconception out there that if you're a Christian, mental illness is just not a thing. It can't be a thing. Why? Because Jesus, that's why.

I see when people share these pretty flowery photo on Facebook. I see it on Twitter in 140 characters or less....or in a pretty flowery photo. I know their intentions are good. And I'm not saying they're wrong to tell people to pray and give their crap to Jesus. But they seemingly chalk your mental state up to how holy you are and how tight-knit you are with Jesus.

Bah....I won't discuss it any further. It's not a good idea to.

Lil - it bugs me too. Not that Jesus isn't enough... but there is a reason why God gave us doctors and that there are medications, for all sorts of ailments, mental and physical.

For whatever reason (probably being up past my bedtime too many nights in a row and getting uncomfortable with the ensuing silence), my brain thought it would be a good idea to take me back in time, to where I was about a year ago. Oh brain, how I hate you sometimes.

On the positive side of it though...it's sort of astonishing to be able to see the results of all those painful changes. Thinking about it all makes me incredibly sad and ashamed, yet also all the more grateful for what I have, and what I learned. I didn't really want to take a stroll down memory lane (it totally interrupted an episode of Property Brothers), but I think it's best if this happens once in a while lest the point be lost on me.

Sometimes I feel like my life is an upside down painting.

hi wolfgaming:

i do understand what you're trying to say. however, referring to yourself or anyone else as a "retard" is not cool.

first, we are all created by God, fearfully and wonderfully made (psalm 139:14) and as a result, none of us are "less than" or any slang that suggests such.

second, using 'retard' as derogatory slang is offensive to many because it's insensitive and has been used to humiliate, hurt and bully others. remember that you don't really know who is reading these remarks, but these words--each post, every word we say, they are all part of our christian testimony, and how the world will view us, and the love we have for one another.

on a personal note, my cousin, joshua has down syndrome. he nearly died several times, but has managed to work most of his adult life in grocery stores and other retail establishments, and is especially known for his work ethic and unflappable cheeriness. my sister lives near him and has shared before how he has been called names from ignorant and obnoxious patrons who think it's funny to pick on people who generally don't fight back.

of all the names and slurs he's heard, that is the one most commonly used. it makes me terribly sad that someone so harmless and cheerful.
