If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
That verse applies to the
lost. It's a promise of salvation if they put their faith in Christ.
Jason, Romans 4:8 says: "Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will
never count against him."
Never means
never - not, "never, until you sin again."
You refuse to accept that
ALL sin - past, present, and
FUTURE were forgiven on the cross through the cleansing blood of Jesus.
Colossians 2:13: "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us
ALL our sins."
1 John 1:7: "...the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from
ALL sin."
Acts 13:38,39: "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him all that believe are justified from
ALL THINGS, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses."
2 Corinthians 5:19: "that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ,
NOT counting men's sins against them."
Romans 8:1: "There is now
NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus."
If you insist on living under the Law, you will be judged by the Law. The Law requires perfection - continual and absolute. You must be as
perfect as God. You cannot take a little bit of Jesus and mix Him with the Law to justify your prideful nature.
