See, that is what I am talking about. You think you can sin and stil be saved. This is wrong. This is basically saying you can do evil and yet be good. This is not right. Then that could mean you can do other wrong sins and be saved, like being a serial killer, or hurting children, or being a professional thief.
See that's my point, where does the bible list what sins are bad enough to lose salvation.....repentance of sin after salvation is restoration...

And your cycle continues.
You think that there are sins that can make one lose salvation, which is wrong. Bible doesnt say, but so says Jason

I do have joy in God my Savior. But I cannot see how a person can have real genuine joy if they remain in their sin thinking they are saved, though. For Paul said sin shall not have dominion over you. Jesus said, he that sins is a slave to sin.

Jesus Christ was manifested to destroy the works of the devil.

Has Jesus destroyed the works of the devil in your life?

For who ultimately does the "good work" in a believer's life? Is it God? Or is it the believer? Well, Scripture tells us that God (Christ) is the One who ultimately does the work within a believer.

For that is why the 24 elders cast their crowns down before Jesus (Revelation 4:10). For the crowns they received for their good work was all the result of Christ working in them.

Yeah, but doesn't a believer do the work, too? Now, yes, it is true; A believer is created unto Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10); And a believer is indeed held accountable by their "good works" here upon this Earth at a Judgment. But we must also realize that true believers are not ultimately doing these "good works" alone or of their own power, though. For in 1 Corinthians 15:10 Paul said that he labored more than all of his brethren, yet he said it was not him that labored but it was the grace of God that was within him. So true believer's are just choosing to allow God's "good work" to flow within them or not.

A genuine Christian would know not to intentionally sin, and would want to please God. Since none of us are sinless, the Holy Spirit convicts us for when we do sin. That's where God's grace comes to play. There is a big difference between wilfully sinning and not really caring, verus sinning and having a repentive heart, sincerely asking God for forgiveness. Jesus died for all of our past, present, and future sins. Why the future? Because He knew we can't do anything right.

Here are a list of verses that show that we used to be sinners but we are not that way anymore.

"For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another." (TItus 3:3).

"Thorns and snares are in the path of the wicked:
whoever guards his soul stays from them." (Proverbs 22:5).

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will (2 Timothy 2:26).

"Once you were alienated from God and you were enemies with him in your minds, which was shown by your evil actions." (Colossians 1:21).

"For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;" (1 Thessalonians 1:9).

In John 12:48, Jesus says if you reject his words, then those very words will judge you on the last day. I don't see how you can really escape or get around how you can ignore his words and still be saved.

For example: Matthew 6:15. It's a condition. You cannot be forgiven unless you forgive others. There is no Eternal Security in that verse.

I wake up in the morning and my thought is "this is the day the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it". Not I hope I don't lose my salvation today.........

I lived in Clarksville, Tennessee for 3 years in the early 80's. Very pretty state.
Yeah Tennessee is a lot different landscape than the flat lands of Florida, but I enjoy the peaceful outdoors, the abundant wildlife and scenery here. Weather is not bad either, except the winters can be a bit chilly. :)

"For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God" (Romans 10:3).

"They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate" (Titus 1:16).

Eph 2:8-9 and titus 3:5

But clearly say it's not by works that we are saved, but by God's grace.

If you believe one can lose salvation by works, than one has to work to keep it which these verse clearly say otherwise.....

That verse applies to the lost. It's a promise of salvation if they put their faith in Christ.

Jason, Romans 4:8 says: "Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."

Never means never - not, "never, until you sin again."

You refuse to accept that ALL sin - past, present, and FUTURE were forgiven on the cross through the cleansing blood of Jesus.

Colossians 2:13: "When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us ALL our sins."

1 John 1:7: "...the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from ALL sin."

Acts 13:38,39: "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him all that believe are justified from ALL THINGS, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses."

2 Corinthians 5:19: "that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, NOT counting men's sins against them."

Romans 8:1: "There is now NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ Jesus."


If you insist on living under the Law, you will be judged by the Law. The Law requires perfection - continual and absolute. You must be as perfect as God. You cannot take a little bit of Jesus and mix Him with the Law to justify your prideful nature.
