Jack says:

1. Is Henry Morris considered to be the father of the modern YEC movement?
2. Did Henry Morris get much of his flood geology from George McCready Price?
3. Was George McCready Price's flood geology heavily influenced by Ellen G. White?

1. Yes, Henry M. Morris is considered to be the 'father' of the modern biblical creationist movement.
2. No, Henry M. Morris didn't get his flood geology from George McCready Price.
3. No. Ellen G. White was a false prophet who took teachings etc. and used them for her own agenda.

Do your homework Jacksie!
Tintin, you are making progress here. At least you admitted that Henry Morris is the founder of the modern YEC cult movement.

I can see I am going to have to walk you through this step by step so that you can connect the dots for yourself.

Did Henry Morris say this about George McCready Price in Morris’ book History of Modern Creationism?

“I encountered his name in one of Harry Rimmer’s books… and thereupon looked up his book The New Geology in the library at Rice Institute, where I was teaching at the time. This was in early 1943 and it was a life-changing experience for me.”

Oh, a life-changing experience?

Is that what Morris said?

And what did Morris do then?

According to the Wikipedia article on Flood Geology:

In 1942, Henry M. Morris was persuaded by Irwin A. Moon's Sermons from Science of the importance of harmonising science and the Bible, and was introduced to the concepts of a vapor canopy causing the Flood, and its geological effects. About a year later he found George McCready Price's New Geology a "life-changing experience", and joined the Deluge Geology Society. His book That You Might Believe for college students included Price's flood geology, and was published in 1946.[51]

Oh, Morris wrote a book that included Price’s flood geology?

Tintin, are you with me so far?

Incidentally, the information from Wikipedia comes from Ronald Numbers, a very credible witness, according to the U. S. Supreme Court.

Tintin, do you still deny that George McCready Price had a significant influence on Henry Morris and his flood geology?

Not to worry, if you do, I have a whole lot more.

And Tintin, no need to thank me for doing your homework for you.

Okay, so you bash Catholics on the Catholic Heresy thread for false doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, according to you, that they regurgitate.
you really are an unpleasant person aren't you? Just because you bash people don't assume others do the same. In fact I used your crude language. But in fact I don't bash anyone. I present facts which demonstrate that they are in error. They come here to propagate their heresies. One of the purposes of this site is to reveal heresy

You are talking to people over there right? Who are Catholics, right? And none of them are wearing a pointy hat, right?
I don't answer silly questions.

Is Cobumba given credit for taking Christianity to Scotland or not?
yes as a member of the Celtic church (NOT the Roman Catholic church) Columba preached the truth in Scotland.

If not him, who should be given the credit for that?
Christians don't claim credit. All the credit goes to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Is Columba given credit for banishing Nessie to the bottom of the lake or not?
Not by sensible people. Nessie found his own way there.

If not him, then who?
Nessie himself.

Obviously Nessie still exists in that lake and is a dinosaur because some YECs say so.
Yes he quite possibly exists there. yes he is a dinosaur. many people say it who are not YECs.

Who are these other people who say Nessie is a dinosaur besides Dr. Dino (Kent Hovind)?

Do they have a PhD like Dr. Dino does?

What makes you think Nessie is a he?

I searched on "Is the Loch Ness monster a male or female" and found this post at Yahoo Answers made by LisaP:

"I would say male because the pictures I have seen do not show any breast. The other reason I think its male is because a female who have ended up pregnant by something other than another nessie maybe like a crocodile or a big snake. I mean even if you are a prehistoric creature how long can you hold out without sex certainly not 100 years or more between one night stands. This goes for both males and females. Then again again maybe its like a worm and is asexual. I don't know I'm not an authority on nessie even though I am scots irish and know the story"

LisaP must be a YEC.

JackH, what does it matter if the World is 6000 years old or 6 Trillion years old? What does is matter if people want to believe the Earth is only 6000 years old? What is it to you what they believe?

Why are you trying to put yourself above everyone else in matters that are worthless?

Does God care if you believe the Earth is only 6000 years old? No.

Does God care if you believe the Earth is 6 Trillion years old? No.

So why are you attacking the Children of God for not believing what you believe is the age of the Earth?

Could it be your Pride demands people follow what you teach JackH?

The ONLY thing we need to believe in is Jesus Christ and He has risen from the grave!

You JackH need to concentrate on bringing the Gospel of salvation to the World instead of worrying about how old the World is!

Don't waste your breath, brother. Jacksie boy is an infamous false teacher at CC. I'm not sure why he wasn't banned long ago. He says he's a Christian, but he never talks about Jesus and he tries his darnest to disprove the Bible. Also, he insults everyone who doesn't believe as he does. It's rather disturbing.
True as that may be, i still love him, and desire to help.

True those who do not believe the Word of God can make assumptions, but for those who believe the Word of God, NO assumption is necessary, for the Word of God plainly teaches us how old the Earth basically is, which is either 6,000 years old, or 13,000 years old, no younger than 6,000 years old, and no older than 13,000 years old.
You say the Word of God teaches how old the earth is.

Then you say it either 6,000 years old or 13,000 years old.

Well, which is it?

And how exactly do you come up with those numbers?
As to your question which is it. i know not. But what i do know is the Earth is not older then 13,000 years old, and not younger than 6,000 years old.

As to your question how do i come up with these numbers.

Well the 6,000 year old Earth is not to difficult to determine if you use the genealogy record in the Bible. From Adam to present day is a little over 6,000 years of genealogy which is documented.

Now there are a couple of verses that indicate that a thousand years to us is but one day to God.

Psa_90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

2Pe_3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Therefore the 7 days of creation, could very well have taken 7,000 earth years. A thousand earth years being but one day to God. Therefore when Scriptures say that God created the Earth in 7 days, is that 7 Earth days (which i believe is the Truth) or 7 days according to God, which would be 7,000 Earth years (which i do not believe, but can't in Truth not mention it as an option, being that Scriptures would also support this belief)

Know this that Humankind will have only existed for one week in God's timing. Since Adam, 6 days have passed, and the Sabbath Day is about to start.

satan is bound for a thousand years, because it is God's Sabbath Day, and evil is bound for that day (thousand years)

But what is this knowledge to one that does not believe the validity of the Word of God?

Innocent until proven guilty.

Dr. Dino was found guilty by a court of law.

He has been in prison for more than 8 years.

That is my evidence that he is guilty.
lol, are you suggesting that your evidence that he is guilty, is that the court said he was guilty and that he has been in prison for 8 years? Is that the evidence you want me to believe in order to believe that he is guilty? lol

Now, if you think he is not guilty, show me your evidence that makes you think that he is not guilty.
Sure, i will use your same logic that you proved he was guilty.

He is innocent because he to this day after 8 years still claims he is innocent

People for 8 years all over the world say and teach he is innocent.

Therefore (according to your logic) he is innocent.

If you show me convincing evidence that such a person should not be in prison, I will probably believe you.
no you wouldn't. It is apparent he is guilty, and that is all there is to it, even if i showed evidence to prove that, it would not be enough to convince you. i don't say that to be mean, i only say that because it is True.

And that person should file an appeal and possibly be released from prison.
And you know that he has filed an appeal or not filed an appeal? go ahead google it now.

You could put a hibernating bear to sleep.

So let's talk about Dr. Dino's false teaching.

We'll take them one at a time, which should take us about a year.

Dr. Dino teaches KJV Onlyism.

Is that a false doctrine?
KJV vs Other Versions

There is much confusion and much division over this topic, and God is not pleased.
  • I Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
Do not read any farther without answering the following questions:

1) Was there a need to translate the original Bible into English for all the English speaking people?

2) Was God present to make sure that His Word was translated into English EXACTLY as He wanted it to be translated?

IF you answered “NO” to either of these questions, you might as well skip this article and just go onto the next. For you will not believe what the Spirit of Truth has revealed to me concerning this topic. But if you answered “YES” to either question and you have a teachable spirit, then continue to read this article, who knows, because you have a teachable spirit, the Spirit may reveal to you this Truth.

How many arguments over which version of the Bible is best? How many disputes? How many Christian brothers and sisters have divided over this topic? Do you think God approves of this?

How much confusion has this caused? Have you ever been to a Bible Study and you tried to read along with someone who was reading from a different version than you are reading from? Who is the author of confusion?

  • I Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion,… … …
God is not the author of confusion, so that leaves the devil, satan is the author of confusion. Sit in a Bible Study and there are 10 different versions, each believing there version is the correct version of the Bible. Which then is the correct version? They all can’t be right when each one teaches things that are contrary to the others.

How can we have the same mind, if there are so many different versions of the Bible, which do NOT teach the same things? With a little bit of common sense, and a little bit of thought it is easy to figure out, that we should only have one version, so that all can be reading the same words, the same version. So the question is, which version?

Tell me, how many of God’s children have died protecting the NIV? How many Saints have died protecting other versions? How many people have died to bring about the NIV?

Now tell me how many of God’s children gave up their lives to protect the King James Version? Hundreds? Maybe thousands? How many people have died, so that the King James Bible could even exist? Many.

So we have the King James Version today because of all the Saints who have willingly spilled their blood to have it come about, and to protect it once it did. WERE THEY WRONG TO DO SO?

i mean if the King James Version (KJV) is so wrong, why was satan so adamant to try to destroy it? Why did satan try so hard to get rid of the KJV Bible? Why didn’t satan succeed? Why were our brothers and sisters in the Lord willing to die for that KJV Bible, when it is apparent that satan tried everything in his power to get rid of the KJV Bible. Yet we still have it to this very day, and there are a few who will make sure it is still present at the time of Christ’s Return?

DID THEY ALL DIE IN VAIN? Or did they die for the Word of God? Who is the god of this world?

  • II Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Know you not that we are in the Last Days? Yes we are in the Last Days, and what do we see. We see satan still trying to stamp out the King James Bible, And acomplishing that goal by creating new versions of the Bible.

You see satan realized, he will never be allowed to destroy the Word of God, the King James Bible. So he does the next best thing, cause people not to read it. He effectually does this by having people call other versions the Word of God, which degrades the King James Bible that so many of our brothers and sisters in the Lord have died for.

Satan is the god of this world, and we are living in the Last Days, which version of the Bible is growing leaps and bounds, with hardly any opposition at all? Which version of the Bible, has many Saints died for and the world has tried to extinguish, and even today with this last days generation are still trying to get rid of? Other versions of the Bible are thriving, while the KJV is shrinking. Tell me in the last days, when men will be lovers of themselves, and are selfish, and unloving, will the True Word of God thrive or will it decline?

  • Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
It is going to get worse and worse, not better. We live in satan’s world right now, for he is the god of this world. We are living in the last days, where people will not want to hear the Truth, but want to have their ears tickled. And the version, the King James Version, which many of our Christian brothers and sisters have died for, is even now being pushed out of existence, to make room, for the thriving other versions. This should make you question, why is the world so readily willing to accept New versions of the Bible and disregard the King James Version?

Well a big reason, is this generation thinks the King James Version of the Bible is WRONG, that it was not interpreted correctly, that it is too confusing and this generation thinks we need a new version, one that is updated, compared with new documents, and re-interpreted by the Scholars of this generation. Isn’t “This Generation” those of the last days? Isn’t this generation accurately described in this verse:

  • II Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
And you want a version made by the people that live in these last days? Leave it to the Last Days Generation to discard what has worked for the English speaking people for 400 plus years to desire a NEW version for the last day generation Christians. Think about that. 1978 is when 40 people decided that the King James Version was wrong, and needed to be done away with, so that these 19789 people can come up with their own version of the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, making void the King James Bible which so many has died for, under the name of Jesus Christ. And now have a NEW version the NIV.

The King James Version was called “The Word of God” for over 400 years. Did God interpret it wrong? Did God allow a corrupt Bible to exist for over 400 years? Did God protect and preserve the KJV Bible for nothing, if it is indeed NOT the Word of God?

i assure you, that when the Original Hebrew and Greek was being translated into English, THAT GOD WAS THERE, to make sure that it was translated EXACTLY as He (GOD) wanted it to be. People in 1978 believed the KJV wasn’t good enough, that it was not interpreted as it should have been, the people in 1978 took it upon themselves to make a New Translation. True, at the time, they were not intentionally trying to exclude the KJV, nor to push it out of the world, but what they failed to realize is, by coming up with an NEW version makes the others OLD. These 40 people created their own “Word of God” not intentionally, mind you, but they did it none-the-less.

Please do not misunderstand me. i am in no way whatsoever saying that the NIV or other versions are wrong or sinful, nor am i saying it is wrong to read them. Any book that can bring a person to Christ is not a bad book.

We see in Luke 9:49-50 that there were people who were casting out demons in Jesus name yet they were not followers of Christ, and Jesus said forbid them not. And Paul says in Philippians 1:15-18 that some preach Christ for selfish reasons, but Paul is thankful for even that because Christ is preached. So then if a particular version can bring a person to Christ it is not to be forbidden.

However, to call other versions “The Word of God” is indeed incorrect. The NIV is not the “Word of God”. The NIV is 40 people’s interpretation of what they believe is the Truth. Not saying that they are wrong or right, only saying that of a Truth, the NIV is indeed the interpretation of those 40 people who decided to re-interpret the Bible. i will tell you the Truth, In 1978 God was not there, His hand was not involved to re-interpret what He already interpreted in 1611.

If God was there in 1978 to correctly interpret the Word of God, that would mean HE was not there in 1611 when the Bible was being translated into English. BECAUSE if He was, then God makes mistakes? What? Think about it, If God was there when the Word of God was being interpreted into English, then He is there in 1978 to re-interpret again as if, how He did it in the beginning was incorrect, and therefore was in need of a New Translation because the first was wrong. Then He makes mistakes, God forbid. Maybe, just maybe God did not make any mistakes, and when the English Bible first came about He was there to make sure it was correct. Then in 1978, Forty people felt that the King James Version was outdated, wrong, or whatever else, and they, the 40 people decided to translate a version for themselves. This is then their interpretation, it is not the actual Words of God.

Why would God in 1978 re-interpret what He has already interpreted? He wouldn’t, when God does something it is right the first time.

Again, i am not saying that the NIV is wrong, i am only saying it is not the Word of God. So if someone, who is a babe in Christ reads the NIV or other versions then so be it, there is no harm, if those versions can bring a person to the Lord Jesus Christ. However once a person is Saved and they desire to learn the “Word of God” they need to always compare what they are reading with the King James Version as indeed the “Word of God” to the English speaking people. The very version that God brought about, and protected and preserved, and countless deaths to defend it, and satan who tried in all his might to exterminate it and could not do so, The Word of God, and that Word to the English speaking people of the world is the King James Version.

Tell me what is to stop me right now from gathering 100 people to come up with yet another version of the Bible, based on what the 100 people interpret the Hebrew and Greek and other manuscripts to mean? NOTHING!!!

1978 was a long time ago, it is now 2012 so it is time for a New updated version, Surely God will re-re-interpret it, He will be with us 100 people to come up with another (ANOTHER) version, then people will believe this NEW 2012 version and then the NIV will be cast out and people will start calling our version (the 100 people and myself) The Word of God. God forbid. How is that scenario any different from those 40 people coming up with their version in 1978 called the NIV?

Just because people call something the Word of God doesn’t make it so. For the English speaking people the Word of God was, is, and will be the King James Version. So if you are going to study the Word, then us the King James Version which God interpreted and not men.

The danger with believing other translations as being the Word of God, is it can absolutely cause you to miss the mark if you do so. For example:

  • I John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
So then it is pretty important to know what His Commandment is pretty strong, you are commanded to do it, it is not optional, but commanded, expected to be obeyed.
  • Acts 1: 2 (KJV) Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
This is very important, this is teaching us that what the Apostles tells us to do are Commandments from Jesus. However other versions change the word commandment to either the words “Instructions” or “orders” which changes the seriousness of the word Commandments. Are instruction, commandments?

By changing one word, can change the meaning of the entire verse. Different versions causes confusion. IF everyone only had one version, then where would the confusion be? As it is now we have so many different versions of the Bible, so many different denominations, that to dome together in one mind is almost impossible to do with so many divisions in the Church.

Are you aware that God is a Genius, and is all knowing? Are you aware that God tests us? Did you know He made the King James Bible for the English speaking people in such a way, to weed out those who truly desire to learn His Word. The King James Bible was written in such a way that it would be difficult to understand at the first, so that the Holy Ghost can reveal a little Truth at a time. The King James was written so that the more you read it, the more He will grant you to understand it. The more you read it, the more you understand. He, in His infinite wisdom, designed it to be that way.

Those who read it and say “It is too hard to understand” and they never pick it up again, tell me how much did they desire to learn His Word?

Those who read the Bible through once, and think it is far to confusing, never to read it again, are they not the same. Those who truly desire, those who truly seek, these are they that shall find the Truth. When i was a kid i read the entire King James Bible 3 times, but it wasn’t until the 4th time that God started revealing things to me.

God made the King James Version EXACTLY as He wanted it to be made, through His infinite knowledge to test people to see if they Truly have a desire to learn His Word. Those who come up with NEW versions, are trying to take this testing away from God. They may be innocently trying t make it easier for people to understand, But Truth be told, If God wanted it easier to understand, does He not have the power to make it easier to understand when it was being interpreted into English in the first place? Yes, He could have but didn’t. The King James Version is EXACTLY as God wanted it to be, it is the Word of God to the English speaking people, and many have died defending it, writing it, preserving it, hiding it, preaching it, protecting it. Can any other version say the same? Choose wisely which version you will study as the Word of God, you life may depend on it as well.

There are many who view the NIV or some other version of the Bible as the Word of God, just because they do so does not mean that it is. Did you know there is a Ghetto version of the Bible, where women are called B*tches and prostitutes are called Ho’s and the entire version is in street talk, this version made it easier for those who live by the street, to understand the Bible in their own English language. Is the Ghetto Bible the Word of God? No, it is not, it is a version that helps those in the Ghetto to better understand the Bible.

The NIV was a translation to help people better understand, it was made for those who did not want to take the time to understand the Word of God, which is the King James Version for all English speaking people. Is the NIV the Word of God? No, it is no different then why the Ghetto Bible was created, to reach people who would not understand in their everyday language, the NIV was created for the same reason. The problem is if those in the Ghetto start saying their version is the Word of God, and every man should have a B*tch, and then they will believe their Ghetto version over the King James Version, and guess what? They too will claim their version was inspired by God and they too will claim their version is the Word of God. Therein lies the confusion.

For the English speaking nation there is only one Word of God, that is the King James Version. Other versions were created only to make it easier for beginners, babes on milk. i could right now create my own version of the Bible, is it then the Word of God or is it my translation? 40 people can translate the Bible to make it easier to understand, and call it the NIV, is it the Word of God? No, not any more than if i choose 50 people and come up with yet another translation of the Bible.

Leave it to the last days generation to come up with their own versions, then turn around and call it their own versions, then turn around and call it the Word of God.

But i have not failed to warn you the dangers of other versions, they are great to get you started into the Word, but if you want the Truth and you want to know the True Path, stick to what God has protected for over 400 years and will continue to do so until there is only one language on the planet. If you want to trust 40 people’s interpretation of what they believe the Bible should say, then put your trust in man and see what happens. But God has blessed, protected, authorized, sanctioned, and put His Name on the King James Bible, which is indeed the Word of God given to all the English speaking people in the world.

Kent is back in the "the hole." The Bureau of Prisons moved him into solitary confinement within the SHU. It's reported this was done because an unknown person on the outside called the prison and said they would be there to pick Kent up at 3AM and he better be ready to go.

So, even though it was an obvious hoax, the prison authorities acted to maintain security and safety by isolating Kent. Imo, it's probably for the best as his release date is July 8th, 2015 and if he gets in any trouble between now and then well... it wouldn't be good for his July release date.

And sometimes, other prisoners get jealous an inmate is being released and so act out in a way that gets the soon to be released inmate a fresh charge and a longer stay. That can't happen with Kent in isolation.

If NOTHING is impossible for God then He could have and did create everything in 144 hours!

Luke 1:37
[SUP]37 [/SUP] For with God nothing will be impossible.

Mark 10:27
[SUP]27 [/SUP] But Jesus looked at them and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.

1 Timothy 1:4
[SUP]4 [/SUP] nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith.

1 Timothy 4:7
[SUP]7 [/SUP] But reject profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness.

2 Timothy 4:2-5
[SUP]2 [/SUP] Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
[SUP]4 [/SUP] and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

What does the age of the World have anything to do with Salvation JackH?

Why are you bringing strife to the Body of Christ JackH?

1 Corinthians 3:3
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

Romans 13:13-14
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Could it be you envy other people because of your Pride JackH? Is this why you are bring strife and divisions among us True Christians JackH?

The Holy Bible existed over a thousand yrs before King James changed it

If NOTHING is impossible for God then He could have and did create everything in 144 hours!
Going by your own sentiments God could of created things over epochs, saying He did is an assumption based on our 24 hour day night cycle. How does anyone know if God did not set things in motion after creation?, God is not under any time constraints nor would He be bound under any natural laws of physics, for all anyone knows God could of reduced the time motion to suit our natural boundaries and limits, His day could be much longer than our day?. Nobody really knows.

Good when he gets out, I hope he moves right next door to JackH :)

What is interesting the Bible did exist for over a thousand years. Then the Catholics got hold of the Bible and tried to completely change everything in the Bible to justify their Worship of Mary as their God!

Kings James did not change it mwc68, it was the Catholic Church, following the orders of Satan, who has tried over and over again to completely change the Bible to fit their evil Doctrines of Mary!

Example: You Catholics teach Mary was without sin.

Romans 3:9
[SUP]9 [/SUP]For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.

Romans 3:23
[SUP]23 [/SUP] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Even Mary was born in sin and sinned her whole life mwc68!

What does the age of the World have anything to do with Salvation JackH?

Why are you bringing strife to the Body of Christ JackH?
Did you not say that those who do not believe that creation occurred in 144 hours are going to the lake of fire?

Why are you bringing strife to the body of Christ, KenAllan?
