What constitutes a personal attack?
To disagree with what I believe and teach is not personal, that is your right.
But when a person says that what I belief and teach is evil, that is saying I am evil. That is personal.
Just because you do not believe it is personal, does not make it so.
If you disagree, just say you disagree. Don't say it is evil, and that those who believe that no one is sinless are slaves to sin.

Sincere means "without wax". In ancient Israel potters would try to hide the cracks and blemishes in their pottery with wax so they could charge full price. Jason is charging us full price for a blemished product by attempting to hide his cracks with wax. It's an insincere kind of love.

But to call this thread ridiculous and a joke is an understatement!
First off Jason..you begin a thread...basically saying you want respect...when you give none to anyone but your own foolish pride?
You desire not to be insulted?
Man up Jason! I am a woman and I am stronger than this.

I could stand in the middle of Yankee Stadium and ask people to throw insults at me...it wouldnt even hurt me!
Do you know why? Because I am beautiful on the inside. Even tho I have flaws. I love me. God loves me. Insults do not bother me because I know I am good inside.

I am here to love and support my friends.
I have friends who are VERY ill Jason...very sick.
I refuse to break a sweat...making you feel wonderful...when I have sick friends here. You should be happy you are alive. Instead of telling us all to repent. Why dont you look at yourself...and change your ways.
Start caring for the sick and wounded.

And I wouldn't set my posts up as a model to follow. I am guilty of getting personal. It may not look like it in some of my posts, but I do have impersonal unconditional love for Jason.

When it comes to religion, Its one area that I really need to grow and constantly check my motive and mental attitude when dealing with it.

I came out of religion(8yrs) and into freedom. So Its hard to keep my mouth shut when I should!

While Jason and I disagree on several points, I'm curious. Are you saying that NEITHER God or Jesus EVER taught ANY do's and don'ts? And why does one have to be a "legalist" to believe that God AND Jesus gave some fairly clear instructions on how a Christian should live?

I guess, trying to give a simple answer, to me legalism is saying we do stuff and do not do stuff to GET or STAY saved, not BECAUSE we are saved. this is what Jason and others teach, obeying to get or keep, not because you are saved and want to do what is acceptable and good to God. and yes they are do's and dont's but they do have to be presented with the harshness that Jason and others do. hope that answers you Q ,P .

So saying it is wrong to murder to a murderer is wrong? Saying it is wrong to point out immorality and sin is wrong? Paul says have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather, reprove them. My message is in general to those who believe in a sin and still be saved doctrine. If you do not believe in such a doctrine, then you have no reason to be offended. For if a believer thinks they can "sin and still be saved" then they need to change the outside name of their church to the "Sin and still be saved church" so as to be upfront and honest about what they are doing (Well, that is if you believe that way - of course).

Your going to do work regardless. One's work is either good or evil which is determined by the fact that either God lives in them or not. If God does not live in a person, then no good fruit (God's righteousness working thru them) will be brought forth. Jesus said we will know false prophets by their fruit. John says that he that says he knows him and does not keep his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in them.

And the buyers, who knew what they were doing(Doctrine/Mind of Christ) would take the pottery out in the SON and inspect the pottery. The light revealed the imperfections that were being covered up.

In Heaven, nobody will be hurling insults at each other. Jesus said rejoice when men shall speak all manner of evil falsely against you for his sake. One, how exactly are you living that verse out? For do you not know that all who live Godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted? Why? Because of the Condemnation that is mentioned in John 3:19-21. Second, insults and mocking others (Who stand up for righteousness and God's Word) is not a part of the Kingdom of God. Believers are told to speak with grace seasoned with salt. Folks are not doing that here.

Third, Jesus was man enough to point out the wrong ways of the Pharisees. He pointed out their evil and they persecuted him verbally and physically for doing so (with them even planning his death). I am only saying what God's Word says. If you have a problem with it, then you have to take it up with the Word of God (Both the Living Word and the written Word) and not me.

Four, the real man of God will not tolerate sin and evil or insults. He will stand up for what is right even if it means he must die for his faith or to be verbally persecuted for it.

Then come up some earlier issue where they can get you on a word, and in that thread one of there is as saying "feel good teachers" RATHER then "teachers after ones lusts" the second you use other words (in sarcasm) which they not only use themselves (ad nausuem) but the second you do you are meat for the vultures here.

I am ignoring those who just insult me & I am only replying to those who offer Scripture.

I am here at ChristianChat in order to:

(a) Have fellowship (and learn the Word from others),
(b) Deepen my studies in the Scriptures,
(c) To teach what I have personally learned in His Word,
(d) To correct others in the Word (if they are choosing to disobey it).

For people can insult me, but if they do not offer any Scripture, then there is nothing for us to really talk about. This is a Bible discussion section on a Christian forum where we are supposed to talk about the Bible. But many here just want to insult you instead of talking about God's Word.

Now, there are those who insult me and also use Scripture, too. In these cases, I will try and reply to their insult with Scripture (So as to correct the bad behavior). But if they are using the Bible, I can at least have something to talk with them about. For that is why we are here. To talk about the Bible.

In any event, I say this not to wound anyone but the Word is why I am here. Not just the written Word but the Living Word.

While people shouldnt be insulting, Ive had conversations on here with people that throw the whole Bible at you and its totally out of context or twisted to make their point right. Ive had one on here in particular and he uses so many verses that I wonder if he even reads them. He goes from Genesis to the maps and hes just confusing.So giving verses isnt always a help.

why do you treat Jason like he is the messiah of the Christian chat world? While I don't think he is stupid...I do believe that he is very ignorant of the cross and it implications. He's a broken vessel but thinks he is pure. That is a dangerous mindset.

You'll be ignoring me anyway, since I won't be posting scripture, but, hey, since this is about why we're here, I thought I'd tell why I'm here anyway.

I'm here to learn because I am now old enough to get I won't learn it all in this lifetime, but I'm also old enough to know I'm too old to learn quickly anymore, so I hope others can fill in gaps I'm missing.

I'm here to fellowship because I cannot go to church and, frankly, most places on the web that talk about "religion" tend to be so "open" the basket has no bottom, so it's trash for usefulness.

I'm here wise enough to know most who proclaim to be teachers aren't, and yet those who claim to have such a calling often have just one thing they want to talk about (a prove-a-point) so they aren't either teaching or listening to anyone who might actually know something about the issue from years of studying.

I'm here to help despite knowing I'm no teacher because there are ways to help without needing to be a teacher.

And, since I tend not to provide scripture for most of what I say because I do have memory problems along with senior moments so I can't remember the exact place a scripture is, and voila! Because of that I cannot or will not judge others for not having scripture memorized. My emphasis is more context than memorized verses.

So, okay, you will ignore me for that. One question. Why?
