His tomb was not custom built for him though remember, he was laid in the one which Joseph had built for himself. So as far as tomb sizes go, we can only say that Jesus was no taller than 6 ft (assuming the tomb in question is the correct one).

this is the point

you can see where the tomb was made for someone shorter and was altered in a hurry at the last minute

They haven't found his tomb, if you saw this in a documentary I think you will find it is sensationalist and false.

Still the difficulty with a tall (6ft) Jesus is that if true, he would have been very easy to see and identify in a society where average height was between 4'5 and 5'5..but there's no mention of Jesus being tall ( special or unusual features are normally mentioned by bible authors), and there's a few cases where Jesus was able to slip through crowds (difficult for a tall man), and the fact that Nicodemus had to climb a tree to see him (suggesting that Jesus was the same height as everyone else), and that he was not easily recognised by Mary in the garden, and those people who Jesus walked with and the fact that he had to be identified by Judas with a kiss rather than him saying to the authorities "Jesus is the tall one".

I agree with Mahogony on this one

but I still don't see why this has anything to do with giants in the first place

Top that off with Isaiah 53 which says:
" He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him."

which suggests to me his physical appearance was plain and average.

If we know how tall people were , we know how tall giants were.

© 2002 Sean Altman

I'm not bragging - don't mean to blaspheme
But Jesus was a short dude - at least compared to me

The average guy at the time of Christ
Was 4'9 to 5'5"
I...I'm taller than Jesus
I said I...I'm MUCH taller than Jesus

He was long on love - but short of limb
My tee-shirt is like a dress on him
He could heal the sick and save your soul
But he couldn't dunk a basketball
I...I'm taller than Jesus
I said I...I'm MUCH taller than Jesus

Jesus walked on water
Turned water into wine
But if you need to change that
light bulb
Call me - I'm divine

I was hanging with Christ - just guy to guy
He was sitting on a phone book - we were eye to thigh

He said "Hey Sean - what's it like up high?"
I said "Hay-soos - you want a piggyback ride?"

The Beatles claimed they were bigger than you
Well I've the height on the Beatles too
If genes determine the size of your bod
Then my Dad must be taller than God
I...I'm taller than Jesus
I said I...I'm MUCH taller than Jesus...

I believe Genesis 6:1-4 is the first instance. I just typed it out and then lost it so you'll have to look it up :p.

Genesis 3:20
And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Genesis 5:1-3
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

2Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 3And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth:

Why doesn't the Bible state that Adam was the FATHER of all living? Why does Genesis 5 start Adam's lineage with Seth? What happened to Cain and Abel? Because Abel was killed and Cain is NOT Adam's child!

Genesis 4:15
And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

This mark was a physical mark. One that would scare off any would-be attackers. It was his size. Cain was already large. God made him larger.

Genesis 5:32
And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

Genesis 6:1-9
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Noah was also a son of God. He was perfect in his generations as were the other sons of God. But as the other sons of God fell to the evil around them in copulating with the offspring of Cain, Noah walked with God. Noah was 500 years old when he had his three sons. Why so long? Because women who were also pure blooded and walked with God were virtually wiped out at this time. He had to settle on a woman that worshiped God as he did, but she was not of pure blood as Noah was. But Noah found grace because after that union, unlike the other sons of God, he continued to walk with God. Since the Flood, everone else was of one mixed blood.

Genesis 9:18-22,24-25
And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.

19These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
20And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.

24And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

What did Ham do to Noah? If it was simply to look upon his father's naked body the why curse Canaan and not Ham?

Leviticus 18:7-8,27-28;20:11
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
8The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
27(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
28That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
11And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Ham committed incest with his mother, Noah's wife, and the offspring of that unholy union was Canaan! The Canaanites were Giants. But this wasn't just in mere size only. The sons of God and daughters of men also produced mighty men, men of renown as well.

2Peter 2:4
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

If the angels had produced giants on the earth by copulating with women, then how could they do it again not only after the flood but even in our time as well?

That is an assumption, where is the evidence to support such a claim?

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to breed with hairy cave women that is disgusting.
it's one of those situation where you would had to be there to understand it, but really I don't believe the sons of God or the sons of men meant falling angels or either the sons of greek gods
