I meant "bigger things" in my life.
You know, "more important" things.

Goodness...
I suspect a few people around here might be having naughty thoughts.

So do you think we are guilty of evils as the Church because we follow the teachings of Christ? The Bible says that a woman is governed, led, by her husband like the Church is being governed and led by Christ. Christ governs His Church, the man governs his wife, and the mother and father governs their children. The Bible also clearly states that it is not allowed for a woman to give sermons or teach things. They are allowed to teach other women and their children. No offense, but did you not know the Bible is speaking about this or are you a liberal Christian?
The Bible? Someone relying on the bible! Wow!

First, I think it important top remember that Paul spoke as forcefully against legalism as Jesus did.

It therefore behooves us to regard Paul's teaching on feminine modesty as principle rather than law!

The issue Paul was attempting to address seems to be women dressing to call attention to themselves, especially seductively or with sexual innuendo. The intent seems to be that a woman's dress should not compromise her testimony or the church's witness.

Second, based on the analysis above:

It is primarily each woman's responsibility to decide for herself how to implement this principle in her own dress.

It becomes her church's responsibility to suggest a change; if (and only if) her choices do in fact compromise her testimony or the church's witness.

It is DEFINITELY NOT the responsibility of this forum to involve itself in that decision!
